Prologue

The sounds of fighting could be heard as two beings clashed with each other. The land showing the tell tale signs of a battle taking place. If one were to look beyond the fallen trees and towards the vast fields, they would see two skeletons charging at each other.

The first skeleton wore black clothing underneath the dark blue coat, a crown with a crescent moon adorning the top of his head and a cerulean blade in his hand. He had a tired yet determined look on his face as he blocked an attack using said blade, his purple eyelights focused on his foe.

The second one wore lighter colours- mostly consisting of orange and gold- with a halo above his skull and had in his hands two blue daggers that were shaped like bolts linked together by a chain. One golden eye and one red eye stared back at the first skeleton, face in a twisted grin. He pushed against the other, adding to his strength by flapping his majestic golden wings. Those who would see him would be enamored by the sight and think of him as some sort of angel.

Too bad most of the creatures living here were already dead.

As majestic as the second skeleton looked, he was very very dangerous. This skeleton was a being that held a positive aura. To most that would seem fine, but it was a very bad thing in this situation. His aura is so strong, so intense that rather than just being blinded by it, it instead kills other beings that get too close. The only reason his opponent hasn't died is because his was his opposite and that they were brothers.

He was the counterbalance to the positive aura that the other held. He had a negative aura, though not as strong as the others, is enough to stand against it. Of course his brother claims to still love him, so he would often lessen the positivity to make sure his brother wouldn't accidentally die because of it. As bad as the positive being was, he still cares for his other half. No amount of insanity could ever make him kill the other.

"Now brother, why don't you just make this easier for both of us and surrender~?" The one with wings said, still pushing against his brothers blade.

"I don't think so Dream." The darker skeleton replied before pushing his brother, now known as Dream, back and jumping a bit away.

Dream just floated down onto the ground and chuckled at his brothers persistence. Oh why did he have to do this the hard way? No matter, it just makes things more interesting.

"Are you sure? I'm willing to give you another chance to accept defeat Nightmare~" Dream cooed, a skeletal hand covering his mouth as he grinned.

"You already know my answer." The other, named Nightmare, replied blankly.

Tightly gripping his blade he rushed towards Dream in a zigzag pattern. His brother eyed him as he disappeared from view before appearing seconds later to the others right. The positive being was quick to block the sword that came his way but was hit by the kick that came after it. Nightmare planted the blade onto the ground, gripped the hand with both hands to swing himself around, and proceeded to try kicking his brother with his other foot. This time Dream was able to block with one of his bolt shaped daggers while his other hand reached out and grabbed the opposing limb. He could hear the darker grunt as he was roughly thrown towards the trees not far from them. Dream flapped his wings, sending dust flying into the air, and flew to where the other had last landed to find it vacant.

"I know you're around here brother~" he called out while surveying the area "Playing hide and seek won't work for long you know, besides I've always won that game~"

From a few trees away, Nightmare was carefully glancing at his brothers back. The moment he landed he immediately ran from that spot and hid just before his older brother got there. To make it a bit harder to find him he temporarily deactivated his negative aura. It won't last long but it'll give him some time at least.

Neither one noticed the small, almost imperceptible rip that formed a few feet from both of them.

Dream suddenly sensed his brothers presence and slowly walked towards him. "I know you're there brother, there's no use hiding now~"

"Shit." Nightmare cursed, hurriedly bandaging his ankle before standing and leaning against the tree. Should he rush out and meet him head on or should he try to sneak around him? Seeing as his brother already knows where he is there wasn't much of a choixlce, so he steps out and wastes no time to rush towards his sibling, his blade low to the ground in preparation to strike the other.

"Much better~" Dream says with a chuckle and slowly starts sprinting towards the other. He'd fly but the trees were a bit bothersome at the moment so he'll have to make due with running.

As the two were about to clash again the rip instantly opened up. A dark vortex that was wide enough to consume both of them, its intent being just that. Before either brother could react both of them were sucked within the darkness. The second they were through it disappeared and all was quiet, besides the death and destruction that was visible, not a single trace of them left behind.

--------•••--------

Within a realm filled with the presence disaster and tragedy, a certain entity had a sinister smile as they gazed into their orb of fire. Perfect, they were able to carefully retrieve their Chosen One without any of the others noticing. Add to that his brother was also there with him, such wonderful timing. Now then, where to send them?

The entity started looking through the various orbs, each orb surrounded by a different aura of discord and tragedy. "No, no, not that one too dull, that one's lacking, not that either."

They gazed at the various Multiverses in existence, each being governed by one entity or another. There were many of them, all differing one way or another but none satisfying enough for the entity. One after the other, there wasn't a Multiverse that they found suitable enough for their purpose.

The one where the characters were set in a school was too boring for them, the same goes for where they're children being taken care of. It was so bland and dull, with little magic that can make it actually fascinating in their eyes. Sure there were some things here and there, but nothing on a large or grand enough scale for what he had in mind. There were some interesting ones, such as the one so similar to where their Chosen One came from, but were all just lacking in something that they couldn't pinpoint. It was slightly frustrating.

Out of the corner of their eye, they noticed an orb floating a bit farther from the rest. It shined a bit brighter than the others around it, aura in a state of balance that would sometimes tip ever so slightly before returning to its stable state. Though it had a currently stable balance, the entity could just feel the instability that wrapped around it like a blanket, perking their interest. With a flick of the wrist it was suddenly in their possession as they gazed into it and the Multiverse it held within. The Original Multiverse?

Their eyes suddenly shone as they grinned once more. Yes, this'll be perfect. It had everything that they needed and wanted. They didn't have a lot of power over this one since it wasn't under their control, but it was easy enough to get to if one knew how. As long as they don't draw the attention of the others while they do so then it'll work. If they do end up noticing, well, some of them might not even bother with it and quite a few of their companions still owed them some favours.

This will do nicely.

All it takes are a few adjustments here, some openings there and voila! They're both set and ready to proceed. It might take a while to actually get the results they want, but they know it'll be a worthwhile wait. This will end up being one hell of a show, they can just feel it!

"As they say, patience is a virtue." They said and chuckled quietly to themself. Oh they just can't wait for everything to unfold. Perhaps they should pay some old friends a visit, have a quick chat with them and whatnot. Who knows, maybe some of them would actively help makes things even more exciting. Time and Fate could also give some good input on the topic, though they should hide the fact that it was the latters Multiverse they were messing with.

"Ah Fate," their chuckle turned into a laugh at the thought of the other entity "always getting on Destiny's nerves."

Ah yes, Fate and Destiny were definitely going to be involved in this, it was their Multiverse they were dealing with after all. They could've honestly chosen someone from the Original Multiverse governed by the two, but most of the candidates they had in mind were either already chosen or concerned with the balance. The Destroyer, the "Bad Guys", the Creator, even the Parasite was unsuitable for the current situation; emotions were a good and powerful driving force that causes others to make irrational decisions that can often lead to something disastrous, and that was something they didn't want to pass up on happening. They also needed that emotional factor to make them more susceptible to their abilities of control So as much as they wanted to, they didn't go for the Parasite. It was also another reason why they didn't choose the Creator.

'No matter,' they thought to themself 'it won't be long now.'

They cackled loudly as they thought of what series of events will commence because of this. The orbs around them shook as they sensed what may be coming. The orb that held the Original Multiverse starts quaking as the balance it held very slowly, but surely, starts to become as unstable as the Multiverse itself. That was a good sign for the entity, reaching out and holding it, gazing deep into the orb and at their Chosen One who will carry out their purpose.

Let the Chaos commence.

--------•••--------

Within the various AUs that reside in the Original Multiverse, the inhabitants of each went about their day as the normally would. In Pacifist timelines the children played, people went around shopping, friends were talking. The Genocide timelines were filled with dust, the screams of dying monsters echoing in the suffering AUs. Nothing was different to any them as they continued on, oblivious to the possible threat that had been placed. However not everyone was unaware of the arrival.

--------•••--------

In a vast expanse of white where time and space are meaningless, a dark boned skeleton suddenly sat up from his position on the floor(?). His slightly laboured breathing going unheard in the emptiness that surrounded him. Mismatched eyelights frantically scanned the area for possible threats or intruders but only saw the endless white around him with dolls and SOULS hanging from blue strings up above. He could have sworn that he felt something dangerous just now, but after getting up he wasn't too sure.

"T-tH@t'$ 0d-D..." he mumbled, voice distorted and glitching much like his own body. He looked up with a seemingly bored gaze, but it also held slight worry and apprehension "$0 @N-n¥ ¥0u-u K-kN0w w-Wh@T'$ g0i-InG 0n?"

The Voices that usually yelled at him were silent, which was cause for some worry and suspicion in his mind. They would have normally screeched and belittled him the moment he was concious but now he has yet to hear even a single curse from any of them. Something was most definitely off. He waited for a few moments- maybe, he couldn't tell- to see if something would happen, but nothing did. He just sighed and decided to shrug it off for now, he'll think more about it when he wakes up. Laying back down, his eyes slowly shut and he fell asleep.

--------•••--------

A skeleton was sitting down in a separate world from others, the world he was occupying filled with papers. It was devoid of other living beings but wasn't an empty space of white. The skeleton was laying on his ribs on the ground with a large paintbrush resting beside him along with vials of various colours. He seemed to be drawing something on a piece of paper, humming happily as he did so before he paused. There was something off, he felt it just now. It kinda actually felt like something he was familiar with, he didn't exactly know what though. The skeleton looked up from his work and at the papers that surrounded him. Where had it come from?

He stood up and looked around at the papers to find the possible source, but there was nothing out of the ordinary from what he could see. Scratching his skull, he was confused and annoyed. Was someone playing tricks on him? Or had he just been imagining it? Yup, that was most likely it. He chuckled at what he assumed was him randomly feeling something that didn't exist. With that thought he looked back down and continued on his work.

"I'll probably forget about it after a while."

--------•••--------

Within the woods of UnderSwap, a skeleton dressed in gold was walking around to visit one of his best friends. He had some cookies in a tin that he baked earlier that day as well as some board games since they were planning on hanging out for at least a couple of hours. The skeleton was so excited, they've been planning this for a while now! Shame Ink didn't want to come, but that's his choice.

"I hope Blue likes chocolate chip cookies." He muttered to himself then grinned happily as he walked with a skip in his step "Of course he'll like it, almost everyone likes chocolate chips!"

He chuckled to himself as he held the tin before he felt it. His eyelights quickly looked to the sky even though he knew there was nothing there. It felt natural to look up as he felt two energies that seemed to drop from above. He could sense that one was positive in nature and was bright. Not just "camera flash" bright, but so incredibly bright that he felt as if he was actually being blinded even though he couldn't actually see it and it wasn't even in the same AU as him. A second one was also there though it was hard to sense because of the first ones intensity. It was dark and sad to him, but there was no malice or evil intentions within, only darkness, sorrow, and a bit of despair.

He felt all of that in just a minute second before it was no more. The golden clad skeleton knew he didn't just conjure up the feeling, he knew it was real. Where did it com from though and where was it now? This could be potentially dangerous to them.

"I better tell Blue about it." He said and started to sprint towards his destination. He'll tell Blue first and wait to see if it becomes a big issue before contacting Ink.

--------•••--------

In an unfinished AU stood a castle that loomed over the entire area, its stone walls seen from miles away as far as the AU itself went. It was dark inside as well as on the outside. The entire AU was filled with endless shadows in fact. The forest beside it was ominously silent as mist hid anything within. The large garden at the back, even with it's multitude of flourishing plant life, seemed just as dull and lifeless as everything around it.

If one were to look through the fourth of the stained glass on the upper floors and to the left side, an office was visible though it was shrouded in darkness. It was simple inside; a large mahogany bookshelf was placed against the right corner near the door with an oak cabinet beside it. A maroon couch was close to the center that also had a coffee table in front of it, both standing on top a simple blood red rug. Right beside the window was a desk that was currently empty, but the chair behind it was definitely occupied.

A skeleton that was covered in what seemed to be a tar like substance was leaning back slightly, eye closed and breath relaxed. Four appendages lay limply beside him and all was as quiet as it could be. Of course, it wasn't long before he sensed what the others had as well, but while they hadn't been affected much, he on the other hand had a very different reaction.

"What the fuck is this?!" He hissed to himself and placed a hand over his chest, feeling a slight burning sensation. For a split second there was an abnormal amount of positivity that reached him. It made him feel like he was being burnt before it disappeared just as fast. There was still a slight burning feeling though and he wanted to know what the hell it was.

"It better not be Dream doing something stupid." He growled out as he sat up and walked out of the room, leaving it in the same darkness it had previously been in.

First UnderTale AUs based fic is officially out. All I can say is that I saw some Swadmare fics and thought there weren't enough so I went ahead and made my own. I can already tell that this is probably gonna be an unfinished thing but meh, we'll se how it goes. Note that I really don't know how to make decent fight scenes so please accept this for now. Also the entities Fate and Destiny are from Harrish6 since this fic will be having some FGoD, also something from them, concepts in it.

This was made with the thought of Swadmare so that'll definitely be happening, but they won't be love at first sight, not even second sight. I'm having some trouble deciding how I should proceed with Chapter 4, I know where the story is headed, but I don't know how I should proceed in that chappie, any suggestions?(I already got some fluff planned)

Fun Fact about:

Chapter: This was originally a bit below 2000 words before my ass decided to add some more and it ended up being longer than it initially was.

Character: I forgot if SD!Nightmare had a staff or a sword, getting it a bit confused with DS!Nightmare.

I think that's all I gotta say for now, see ya'll in the next chappie.
