I put my earphones back in my pocket and clambered off the bus. It took 30minutes to get to school when i lived at mums, but i liked the drive, it gives me time to think.

This morning I was thinking about Mitchell, but then again, when am i not. Chantelle and Stephen knew how hard i was crushing, but i forced them to make a BFF personal padlock pinky promise that they wouldn't tell. We've only known each other a few weeks but we've become firm friends

As i walked through the school gates early, I saw Mitch and he beckoned me over to the smoking table

"Morning E" he smiled
"Morning Mitch" i said as i sat down beside him

He took out a packet of cigarettes and lit one
"Do you smoke?" he asked

I'd never smoked before but it's always something i've wanted to try, just never had a way to get them.

"Uh, yeah!" i replied, excited at the chance

He looked at me warily
"If you don't smoke you don't gotta take one, I ain't gonna make you do nothing you don't wanna do, yeah?"
"That's so cute" i said and he blushed bright red
"Give me one tho"

he laughed and passed me the box and lighter, and i could swear i heard him whisper "that's my girl" under his breath. I wish. I watched how he did it. Breathe it in then blow it out, can't be that hard right?

I took a long drag and then began violently coughing and spluttering everywhere. Mitch watched me, doubled over with laughter.

I coughed and spluttered and laughed and he, with tears pouring down his face, took the fag from my mouth and threw it too the floor.

"First time?" he choked out in between laughs
"That obvious?"

He opened his bag and chucked me a bottle of water and i took a few gulps

"Look E, i didn't pressure you or nothin' did i?" he asked, looking worried

"Course not" i smiled " I've always wanted to try it."

"Look" he said "Do it like this" and he began to show me

10 minutes later i finally had the hang of it and i laughed, "Been at this school 2 weeks and the mysterious blonde is already teaching me how to smoke"

"mysterious eh?" he smirked and i gave him a shove, giggling

I noticed Chantelle walking through the gates and she started to come over, but upon noticing me sitting with Mitchell she gave me a wink and sauntered inside

Mitch caught my eye and said "what was that about?"
Grinning i said "hmm, no idea"

I smiled back at him and noticed a twinkle in his beautiful eyes. Oh Mitchell Harper, if only you knew what i was thinking right now

"I'm off to find Chantelle yeah?"

He got up from his seat and wrapped his arms around me, "Catch you later yeah"

"yeah"

•quite a short chapter, just wanted to show how they have a very jokey, fun relationship atm and how they're getting closer
