3 more months have passed and Echo is in the hospital in labor. No one's there but Roman. Daisy and Jacob are still mad at her. Echo is in the bed in pain. The baby is about to come and Roman is holding Echo's hand.
"It's almost out. Push!"
"I am! Aghhh! This hurts!"
"Come on! It can't hurt that bad." Roman chimes in.
Echo looks at Roman and squeezes his hand really tight.
"Ow! I guess it does hurt that bad!" Roman is in pain too.
"Push. You just have 3 more centimeters!"
"Ahhhhhh!" Echo cries out in pain. She hears the baby crying.
"It's out." The doctor says. "Did you know the gender?"
"No. I wanted to be surprised." Echo smiles.
"Well say hello to your newborn baby girl." The doctor hands the baby to Echo.
"It's a girl? Daisy was right! It's a girl! She's beautiful!" She starts crying while holding her new daughter. "She's perfect!"
"The name?" The doctor goes to his clipboard.
Echo looks at Roman. "Anything specific?"
"No. Whatever you want."
Echo turns back to the doctor. "Carter. Carter Reigns."
"That's beautiful!" Roman adds while smiling uncontrollably. "I love the name. She's a beautiful Reigns girl. Speaking of Reigns girls, we should get married."
"What?"
"We should." He grabs her hand. "So we could seal the deal." He kisses her forehead. "What do you say?"
"Of course. But maybe when Carter's a little older." She wants to marry Roman but she has to find the courage to let to of Jonathan.
"Whenever you're ready."
The guilt hurts Echo's heart. She starts to cry. "I can't believe myself."
"What's wrong?"
"Daisy would be here if I weren't such a terrible person."
"No, you're not terrible." He crawls into the bed with her. "You're amazing, sexy, crazy, tough, and many more."
"Thank you baby." She kisses his cheek. "I should braid your hair. It's so long."
"Go for it." He turns over for her to start. She braids his long hair.
"You look pretty."
He smiles. "Thank you." He embraces her in the bed while looking into her eyes. "I love you."
"I love you more." She leans on his shoulder. He starts to stroke her hair. "Can I straighten it one day?"
"My hair? Hell yeah!"
Echo laughs. "Your hair is so long, it's gonna take hours." She grabs his face and pulls him in for another kiss before she rests on his shoulder with her eyes closed. They cuddle until she falls asleep in his arms.
