Chapter 19

We eventually came upon a place with weird craved stones. "What is this place?" I mumbled.

"A cemetery!" Luffy exclaimed.

"Semi? Terry?" I asked.

"I guess you haven't seen one then, how were the slaves disposed of in Mariejois when they died?" Robin asked me.

"Thrown off or fed to animals, sometimes even other slaves looked at the bodies like the animals did." I explained shocking them. "So you guys turn people into stone when you die? I think I have heard of that before."

"That never happens." Zoro gave me a confused look. "They are buried under them in the ground."

"Let's eat here!" Luffy demanded.

"It will ruin the food if we eat here!" Sanji retorted.

"No, we are eating here! Nothing has ever once ruined a meal!" Luffy stomped his feet as I heard a groan.

"Zoro, are you hurt?" I asked him since he only lets out groans when he gets hurt.

"Not this time." Zoro pointed at someone who just got up from their grave.

"Another Brook?" I mumbled as I got down from Cerberus and ran over to it.

"Be careful Juno!" Sanji called out to me as Luffy followed me.

"Aren't they supposed to be under?" I asked Luffy.

"Yeah." He pushed the guy back down, and I kicked some dirt onto the guy then he just sprung back up.

"I'm not going back down!" He yelled at us.

"A severely injured old man." Luffy gasped.

"He's obviously a zombie!" The boys shouted and I have no clue what that is.

"How dare you make fun of zombies!" Many zombies just jumped out of their graves while screaming and holding up their arms.

"Are they not embarrassed?" I asked Robin as they slowly came after us, they were just walking. "Run at us then..."

"So you want a fight?" Luffy cracked his knuckles as we were all ready to fight.

It was easy to punch them down, and I just ordered their graves to follow my will and attack them since it would be a waste of energy to run around and slam them all with my wings.

They were taken down very quickly, and I just slammed their graves back on top of them. "There we go." I grinned.

"So what were you guys doing here?" Luffy asked them.

"Well, we are zombies so we were kinda buried..." One explained. "And we were kinda rotting..."

"Are you trying to be funny?" Luffy asked making them panic. "I have a question for you. Did a man with a long nose and a woman with orange hair, and a raccoon dog that resembles a reindeer pass through here?"

"Yes, yes and yes, maybe I saw them, maybe I-WE DID!" One screeched when I made their grave float again.

"We aren't allowed to share information with outsiders!" One scolded him. "It's the rule!"

"Okay! Then in exchange that I don't kill you all you have to be under my rule, so you follow my rules, okay?" I asked with a smile as I had my wings out to stare them all down.

The little light we had made my wings look like they were glowing, it was beautiful to many of the others but they also found them sinister.

"Yes! They all passed through!" They squeaked.

"That's a new attitude." Robin hummed.

"Really? Sorry, I want to find the others as soon as we can." I panicked.

"You look badass!" Luffy exclaimed.

"I do?!" I blushed and then grinned.

"Very powerful!" Sanji looked like he had found the All Blue.

"They are my crewmates. You didn't go after them, did you?" Luffy asked.

They didn't answer. "Answer him. He's my captain so he's your...King." I demanded.

"He attacked them! No, he did! We all did!" They are very dumb people.

The others were ready to beat them up again, and I helped by threatening the so-called leader into telling me everything. It wasn't working, so I came up with a new plan. "Obey." I mumbled, and Robin was curious as to why I wanted the other me to come out.

"Wow, you smell like home!" I exclaimed. "Now dead thing, I know every torture technique and execution since every single one was used on me! And I was forced to watch the executions, so I can just replicate them with my words." I grinned.

"Stone! I order you to replicate the results of the head crusher." I ordered and it took alot of my energy since it wasn't a simple order.

It slowly shrunk shocking Robin until two bits came flying out just like the eyeballs do then it completely collapsed in on itself and sent more bits of rock flying everywhere.

"I see, so it does it exactly, it did take a lot of energy but it was exactly like it." I hummed. "So what's it gonna be?" I asked.

They were hysterical as they told me what way they all headed in and that they had even seen Brook to. I changed back and was impressed that I could actually make such a detailed order but with only a couple of words.

"What other execution devices were there?" I mumbled.

"I would like to hear." Robin added, and Zoro gave us a creeped-out stare.

"I'm not gonna use it on people!" I exclaimed. "I just know that side would be able to scare him, but it could give me new ways to use my power quickly to help you guys."

"Such sweet intentions, you are an angel!" Sanji exclaimed and took a knee in front of me as he held my hands in his.

"She's talking about torture devices." Franky reminded him.

We went on our way to where the haunted house will be until a man yelled for us to stop. "I saw what you just did! You are terribly strong, aren't you?" He asked us.

"They are." I nodded.

"Could you please hear me out?" He asked us.

"A severely injured old man?" Luffy mumbled.

"It's a zombie!" The boys yelled again.

"No, I'm a severely injured old man." He informed us.

"So what did you wanna discuss?" Luffy asked him.

He fell to his knees and Luffy looked at me probably thinking we are similar. "There is a man I would like you to defeat. I'm sure you could take him down! He has created countless victims, all of whom could be saved if you defeated him! If I get my shadow back, I will do anything I can to thank you!" He begged.

"Your shadow?" Luffy looked down at the man as he had a lantern with him. "Gramps! You don't have a shadow!"

"Another grandad?!" I yelled.

"No, it's just a name to call an old man by." Robin explained making me sigh in relief.

"So who the heck stole it?" Zoro asked.

"Moria." He shivered. "The man's name is Moria, he is truly terrifying."

"More? Ah?" I just tried to understand how his name would be spelt...I still don't even know the alphabet well since whenever Robin tried to teach me I would get distracted by the good food Sanji gives me or Luffy steals me away to play.

"Moria? Are you referring to Gecko Moria?" Robin asked.

"Yes, that's him." He confirmed.

"Robin, do you know him?" Luffy asked.

"I know his name well, that man's bounty used to surpass even yours, Luffy." Robin seemed a little nervous.

"It used to?" Sanji asked.

"He's one of the Seven Warlords of the sea." Robin stated.

"So he's with the Marines...even more reason to punch him." I mumbled.

"Are you sure, Robin?!" Luffy exclaimed.

"Yes, he is a man shrouded in mystery." Robin nodded.

"But what is that man doing in a place like this?" Franky asked the old man.

"I don't know, but there are more than a few victims left to wander this forest after he stole their shadows." He informed us.

"So you are trapped here?" I mumbled. "You can't even feel the warmth from the sun anymore..."

"Yes, I haven't felt it in so long. Please remember that Moria had his eye on you ever since he invited you here." He warned us and started to cry making me put a hand on his shoulder to feel he was as bony as I am. "Those who stayed must creep around the forest in fear of the zombies. Those who took to the sea must spend their lives in fear of the sun."

"It's like you're a slave to Moria." I mumbled.

"We have no freedom anymore." He nodded. "At the very least...all I ask is to be able to walk in the sunlight!"

"Luffy." I looked at him.

Franky started to cry loudly. "That sounds killer! Alright, I will help out and I'm not crying!"

"You are to easy to read, and both of you shouldn't be so quick to take on someone else's problems." Zoro groaned.

"Hey, geezer! Only ladies can use tears to win people over!" Sanji yelled at him. "You can't make my heart throb!"

"Please." I added.

"We will kick his ass!" Sanji declared.

"Hehe." I let out making Robin and Luffy laugh.

"We were searching for the shadow thief anyway. If he's after us, we are gonna have to kick his butt anyway." Luffy grinned. "So wouldn't we wind up helping you on the side? Get it?"

"I'm happy to hear you say that!" The old man exclaimed. "Even if we are on the side, it gives us hope!"

"We are counting on you!" Many voices came from the forest surprising us.

Zoro looked annoyed that we accepted. "Seriously, why do you want to help everyone?" Zoro asked me.

"Well, I sympathise with them, unlike you." I mumbled thinking my wording was a little rude, but he didn't look annoyed and seemed to want to hear more.

"They have probably begged many people for help, but no one has helped him yet. Brook's soul was stolen three years ago, and he's probably not even one of the first victims of that man." I hissed. "I hate that I recognise the same kind of system as Mariejois here. Disgusting people are in power then everyone else suffers, is it really that common?"

Luffy put his hat on my head lightly to rest it on the headband confusing me. "See you are nice." He laughed.

"I'm selfish. I want to help him and risk all of you getting hurt." I retorted and he whined.
"I just want them to feel the warmth of the sun. I rarely went on walks and the sunlight gave me that little bit of warmth that I rarely felt, it's like a hug."

Luffy hugged me then picked me up bridal style and carried on walking making me laugh.

"Warm food it is then." I heard Sanji mumble.

It started to rain as we got a view of the mansion the others went to. "I can see something huge behind the mansion." Luffy informed us and we all looked up.

"What is that? A flag?" Zoro asked.

"Isn't that a sail?" Franky said in disbelief and it was a sail.

"It sure is." The old man informed us.

"Thanks." I grinned.

"Why are you still following us?!" The boys yelled at him except for Luffy.

"What do you mean?" Luffy asked him.

"Just as the man said it's a sail. It's so large you can't see the whole thing. Thriller Bark is carrying an entire village making it the largest pirate ship in the world!" The old man explained.

"So I'm not even on my first proper adventure yet." I complained since I want it to be on a proper island.

"A pirate ship that hauls around a village." Sanji said in disbelief.

"Awesome!" Luffy yelled.

"Makes sense, bark is definitely a word used to define a type of sailing ship." Franky informed us. "But I never thought I'd see a ship carry an entire village."

"The main mast connects to the back of the mansion, and that is where you will find Gecko Moria." The old man explained.

Luffy pushed open the gates to the mansion and they creaked badly. "Well, shall we go?" Luffy asked the others. "To the haunted mansion."

We went to the front door, and Luffy put me down as he knocked at the door. "We are coming in!" He yelled immediately after.

"Give them a second." Sanji sighed.

"But aren't they bad people? Let's just whack the door in their face." I suggested.

"Huh? The door is locked." Luffy tried to kick it open as I suggested.

"Door, I order you to open." I ordered it and it made a sound showing it unlocked. Luffy pushed it open and then looked at me in awe.

"Can you open the fridge for me?!" Luffy exclaimed.

"No, it's staying locked for you!" Sanji yelled.

We went inside to see if the lights are on. "Gecko Moria! Come on out already!" Luffy demanded, I was staring at the paintings of random people.

"What do you think they use this room for?" Franky asked.

"Staring contests." I answered as I was doing one with one of the portraits and Luffy cheered me on.

"You are the best at them!" Luffy yelled.

"She is?" Robin asked.

"Yeah, she always wins against me." Luffy grinned.

"Because I have many eyes." I explained. "I learned I never need to close the ones on my wings."

"Do you actually blink with your normal eyes?" Zoro asked me. "And we can't actually look at your eyes so you could be cheating."

"Yeah they do blink, and I can't cheat against Luffy since he loves to hold my face to at least get a feel for what I look like so he's able to tell if I blink or not." I explained. "And he always pouts when he wins. I like his smile the best so I have to win."

Luffy called out to whoever was there and Zoro just picked me up since I wanted to keep doing my staring contest. "This is such a huge mansion, shouldn't there be at least one servant?" Zoro asked.

"Ha, I win!" I yelled. "Wait...those aren't supposed to blink."

"Then why were you trying to do a staring contest with it?!" Zoro shouted as we heard laughing and looked at some of the other things hanging on the walls.

One that was a head of a pig was laughing. "You have some guts coming here when you know our master's name!" The pig laughed. "Show our guests a warm welcome!"

"Oh, that's nice." I mumbled.

"It isn't!" Zoro yelled as he held me a little more protectively to his body.

Every painting came to life and the people in them popped out of them, but their bottom half was still attached to their frames. The rug on the floor was some giant white bear and it stood up somehow even though its made of nothing but its skin.

They all just kind of squirmed about while going whoosh at us.

"Is this it?" I asked. "Come on break a bone of mine..." I challenged them and held out my arm for them to try. Zoro flicked my forehead hurting me more than anything else on this island has.

"What the hell is scary about these things?" Zoro groaned as he placed me down away from any of the paintings.

"Don't know. Are they even supposed to be zombies?" Sanji asked us.

"I say this island is filled with about any creature imaginable." Robin answered.

Sanji then kicked one that I was about to poke. "Where the hell did you hide Nami?!" Sanji yelled and the rest came after us, but it was quite easy to smack them away.

I just ordered their frames to fall and they got all twisted since they don't have a proper base keeping them steady anymore.

Luffy laughed as he ran away from the bear. "This island is so much fun!"

"Would his punch even hurt? He weighs as much as my skin." I mumbled as I saw the bear was even thinner than me.

Luffy took it down with one punch and it smashed right into a wall while everything else in the room except for the pig who talked to us first was down now.

"Umm...those three who came here are sound asleep in their bedrooms. Ain't it gr-" The pig got cut off by me.

"Wall, I order you to break letting that pig fall to my level." I demanded. It broke at the very spot it was on and causing him to crash into the floor. I grabbed a hold of him, and he was heavy even though he was just a head. "I don't trust you."

"All you have to do is check!" He pointed out.

"Oh, I know that trick." I mumbled. "You make them think what they want is there when actually there's an iron maiden."

"Iron-I don't think I want to know." Zoro mumbled.

"It was a torture de-" Robin went to explain and he went a little pale making her laugh.

"Wait a second." Franky spoke up. "The curly cook is gone."

"Sanji!" I exclaimed as I looked around to see he really isn't there.

"Huh? He was here a second ago." Luffy mumbled. "Where did he wander-"

I stepped on two of the people from the paintings making them scream. "You laughed, I heard it." I stated as I was shaking a little.

"They must have done something during the fray. We have lost a valuable man." Zoro said goodbye to Sanji's whole existence immediately making me panic.

"That was too quick." I pointed out.

"Sanji will be okay." Luffy added as he patted my back to reassure me.

"But time may be of the essence for the other three in this zombie mansion." Robin reminded us.

"Don't get cocky just because you are a li-" I kicked the pig in the face as it was talking.

"He's ugly, ugly." I dropped him.

"He is." Robin agreed. "At any rate, we will have to go by our intuition from here on out."

"Hey loser, you are really-" The pig wasn't shutting up.

"Pig, I order you to shut up unless you say something useful for us." I ordered and he couldn't speak.

"You used your power on him?" Franky asked me confused.

"Isn't he like you? I ordered the part that isn't human or alive or whatever it is." I explained making him laugh. "And it didn't die."

"Let's take this pig as our tour guide, Juno has made him useful now." Zoro pointed out and we heard the paintings giggling again.

"Go and learn just how terrifying our master truly is!" The paintings demanded.

I shivered making the others look at me and the paintings chuckled at me. "Is he that ugly?" I asked making them yell while Luffy laugh loudly. "What? Isn't that the scariest thing? Pain isn't really that scary to me."

"Your crewmates are gone forever, you will lose one pal after the next!" They informed us.

"Okay, now I'm terrified." I hummed and Zoro just stood behind me with his side against my back, it was to reassure me that he was still there rather than holding my hand.

"You sure love to ramble on and on, you would just waste Juno's energy so pass this message on to that jerk Moria! If anything happens to my crew, I will send you and this entire island flying!" Luffy declared scaring them. "Anyway, Sanji will be fine, let's go."

"Yeah!" I grinned loving how just his words and Zoro's touch are enough to kill my fear.
