Chapter 3: The Night at the Mansion

Myla starts unpacking in the second room where she found the typewriter and she started to sing while unpacking she sang "ring around the Rosie pockets full of Posies" and her parents could hear her and they always hated her singing that song because it creeped them out but even more since they lived in the mansion. As she unpacked she kept singing and stopped when she found a picture in the room. It was an old picture of an old woman and a man on their wedding day. But she felt sad because she remembers the people in the picture They died in this exact house 20 days after they got married and no one could find a single sign on how they died. She wiped her face and continued unpacking until her mother called her downstairs. She walked stairs into the kitchen and her mom said "Well, the stove doesn't work what do you want from the store" Myla said "A sandwich" and she sat down at the table staring and her grandmother's ring that she gave her when she was 10. Myla was surprised that she kept the ring for 3 years. Myla ate and then skipped back to her room to sleep. (sleeping till 2:45 am) {Knock knock}. Myla groaned as she sat up and said "Who is it" No one answered. She got up and went to the door and opened it. No one was there {knock knock}. She looked over at the wall in her room, walked closer, and knocked back. {Knock knock} She jumped in terror because the room that was beyond that wall was the first room on the floor where no one slept, the so-called baby room. Myla walked into the hallway and down to the door. She opened the door slowly to see the chained door was unchained. She ran out of the room into hers and locked the door. She got under the bed and was wondering who was knocking and how the door was unchained.
