Lisa's POV

Zack pulled his lips away immediately. Zack and I froze.

"What the hell is going on here?" Zack's mother yelled.

I covered my breasts with my hands, embarrassed about being caught in this situation.

Zack gathered himself and picked up his jacket. He used it to cover me. His cheeks blushed, slightly. I noticed that this is the first time I have ever seen Zack blush.

I climbed off the desk as I held onto his jacket close to my breasts. Zack stood in front of me and buttoned his shirt. I turned around as I adjusted my dress and hair.

"Mom, I can explain."

"You better, young man," she said, angrily.

I placed Zack's jacket on the table after fixing my dress.

"Lisa," Zack said and gestured for me to go.

I nodded and grabbed my clutch and mask. I left the room without looking at Zack's mother.

Zack's POV

Lisa left and closed the door behind her. I turned to my mother as I rubbed the nape of my neck. She crossed her arms over her chest, looking at me angrily.

"What are you doing, Zack? If it wasn't me, what would have happened then?"

"Mom-"

"What?" she screamed. "Do you realize what will happen if Stefano or his family find out about this? You're not thinking about our family's reputation. If not for your family, then at least think about Lisa. How dare you make a move on her? We get used to seeing you with different girls in magazines, but this is the last straw. Stay away from her!"

"I can't! I love her!" I told my mother seriously. "It's like I'm her satellite. I move around her. I tried to stay away from her, but I couldn't. I came back to her with stronger feelings." I admitted my feelings for Lisa for the first time. I loved her. I loved her so much!

My mother's gaze softened. She moved closer to me and placed her hand on my cheek and said, "But she will get engaged to your cousin. She loves him. I'm sorry, Zack."

"They don't love each other," I told my mother. She needs to know that she has never loved Stefano. "I met Lisa before the dinner we had at her house. She became my woman before then. We were together. We fell in love from the beginning." I told my mother everything that happened between Lisa and me from the very beginning.

"Mom, I won't let her get engaged to Stefano or anyone else. She is mine. I love her!"

I grabbed my jacket and stormed out. I went downstairs. Marina called me, but I didn't stop. I left the house quickly.

Lisa's POV

It was late. I didn't leave my room. I couldn't sleep. I was embarrassed.

How can I look at Zack's mother in the face now?

Suddenly, the door opened.

"Zack?"

It was Zack. He walked in and closed the door behind him.

"I thought you were sleeping." He walked closer to my bed and sat down. He stroked my cheeks and kissed my forehead. He smelled of whiskey.

"Have you been drinking?"

"Yes," he said gently.

I played with my fingers and thought about what had happened earlier.

Zack noticed that I was thinking about what had happened earlier. He lifted my head so I could look him in the eyes with his finger.

"Hey, don't be embarrassed about what happened earlier."

"How can I not? Your mother saw us. I don't know how I'm going to look her in the face?"

"Everything will be okay," he assured me.

"How do you know?"

"I told her everything," he murmured in my ear. "I won't let you go. You're mine. I love you."

I pulled away from him.

Did I hear him right?

"You?" I asked him, happily.

He smiled and nodded. "I love you, gynaika mou. I love you so much."

"I love you too, Zack." I hugged him. He hugged me back.

We lay on the bed as I placed my head on his chest. He had his arms wrapped around me, pulling me closer to him. I fell asleep in his arms.

When I woke up in the morning, Zack wasn't in bed.

Suddenly, I felt nauseous and ran to the bathroom.

After vomiting, I brushed my teeth and washed my face. When I looked at myself in the mirror, I noticed my face was pale.

What is it?

Doubts started to cross my mind. I placed my hand on my stomach as I look at myself in the mirror.

Was I… No, you're not, Lisa.

Did we have unprotected sex? I felt nauseous again and vomited.

After vomiting, I went into my room and changed.

I wasn't feeling good nor I want to go downstairs and confront Zack's mother.

I lay on the bed when a knock on the door brought me out of my thoughts.

"Come in," I said and sat up.

The door opened. Marina walked in. "Good morning. Why didn't you join us downstairs?" she asked. "Are you alright?"

"Good morning. I'm not hungry, and I feel sick."

"Do you want me to call a doctor?" she asked, concerned.

"No, thank you. I will rest a little."

"Ok, dear. If you need something, call us."

"Ok, thank you."

Zack's POV

I left the house early. Yannis found out new information about her. I was going to a meeting.

I grabbed my phone to send Lisa a message.

'Good morning. I had to leave early, and I didn't want to wake you up. I already miss you.'

My phone buzzed.

'Good morning. I miss you too.'

I smiled and put my phone in my pocket. I walked into the conference room.

After the meeting, my phone rang. It was Stefano.

"Hi, Zack."

"Hi."

"Do you know about the new information?"

"All we know is that she is in Athens."

I heard a familiar voice in the background calling Stefano. It was a woman.

"Is that Alice?" I asked, surprised.

Alice was Stefano's ex-girlfriend. They loved each other, but suddenly, Alice disappeared without telling Stefano anything. He looked for her but found nothing.

"Yeah, it is." He breathed deeply.

"She blackmailed her. Because of that, she left without saying anything."

"What?"

"Yes. I will tell you everything when we return."

"We?"

"Yes, I have to go. See you."

"See you."

I placed down my phone and smiled. If Stefano was with Alice, that made my situation with Lisa less complicated.
