Battle Trial I

Yuuma was in front of his locker carefully looking over his costume. He was quite pleased that the support department was able to get everything he asked for. For the longest he studied up on what type of tactical wear could aid him, not really caring if the suit would come off looking any type of way. He carefully put on his suit, attaching the belts, latches, and pouches where they were supposed to be. He looked in the mirror, very pleased with the result.

The cloth of the suit, which was a two piece pant and over-coat with a hood, was made with specially reinforced fibers. It was strong, thermal resistant, flexible, and breathable. Beneath the hood of his over-coat there was a helmet made of electricity-resistant alloy that was form-fitting, sporting a visor with a built-in scope that couples with his visual psychic abilities. Across his arms, his shoulders, knees, and elbows there were protective black guards made of the same alloy that acted both defensively and offensively.

His shoes sported thick soles with the same resistances as his other clothing. On the front and back of the shoes were the same guards that were on the other parts of his body, and the shoe itself had no form of laces and had built-in soft inner soles for comfort during long missions where a lot of movement was needed. His gloves were made of the same material as his clothes, but the tips of his fingers had pads on them to aide with gripping objects and people if need be. On the knuckles of the glove were pointed forms of the guards which helped with the precision needed for his martial art.

Now the accessories.

Across his upper body, on the sides of his pants, beneath the guards on his shoulders, behind his legs, and his forearms were pockets. Ones like the few that were across his chest and on the sides of his legs held things like his first aide kits, food rations, and other things needed for emergency aide. The ones hidden stealthily beneath his guards, on his arms, and behind his legs by his shoes were his weapons of choice.

Weighted, small, clear marbles. Dozens of them. As they were spread out over his body evenly, even though they had weight to them, he could barely feel it and it didn't hinder his movements. It was the reason he didn't want them all in one place, as doing that would throw off his balance.

Why marbles? If he was going to need a weapon, he wanted something small, not sharp in any way, shape, form, and seemingly harmless at a glance. Each one no larger than two centimeters in diameter and completely see through. One wouldn't be able to see it as it was moving, and because they have weight, they pack just as much of a punch as he does when they're moving fast enough.

This was not his only weapon though, it was just the one preferred attacking with.

Even though he had all of this equipment, it barely felt like he had anything on him because of how lightweight the material was. He wasn't hot because everything was breathable, and despite the durability of his clothes, they were soft and comfortable.

All in all, Yuuma is very pleased with his hero costume. They got everything he wanted! One would think that, being a child as young as he is and being new to the hero-way of life, he would have done something childish and simple for his costume. Maybe something flashy like a cape or something colorful.

No.

Why?

Because he lived with his Aunt, who drilled into him the practical and rational tactic of stealth and preparation. Why would he dawn himself in something that didn't help him whatsoever except to look the part? No, he didn't want to just look the part, he wanted to function.

So, during his ten months worth of training, he planned out every part of his costume based on his experiences. Everything he could think of that could support him and improve his performance in the field. His aunt threw in her opinions here and there, like the hidden pockets for weapons, when they took breaks from training. And thus he ended up with a very detailed plan of his costume.

Of course their was always room for improvement as this was his first draft of it, but at the moment he couldn't think of anything he could add. There was always room for improvement, and hopefully during this exercise, if things didn't go south as he had a feeling they would, he'd be able to figure out things he could add for better performance.

"Where's Yuuma-chan?" Izuku asked, having gotten out of his daze about Uraraka's costume. Katsuki was also wondering where the brat was, but his mind was too focused on other agendas and admiring his own costume. They'd made everything he wanted.

"I'm here." He said, walking out to finally greet them. As he had a lot to check and prepare with his costume, he was one of the last to walk out into the mock city in which they were to be doing their battle trial. They all stared at him in slight awe as his costume was so tactical and battle ready, much more than theirs were. Some of them were even a little self conscious of the fact they didn't think to have a first aide kit on hand.

Was he truly younger than them, or experienced?

"Dude, you're costume is so manly!" Commented Kirishima, who sported no shirt with gear like shoulder somethings and a strange face guard. It was understandable to Yuuma since his quirk, Hardening, would have just ripped through any sort of clothing he would have worn over himself.

'What kind of costume would he be able to wear in the winter if everything rips?'

"Yeah! So practical. And stealthy! Like a ninja!" Exclaimed Ashido.

"Or military?" Shoji thought aloud, everyone nodding in silent agreement.

"You look great, Yuu-chan, kero." Tsu-chan complemented.

"It's a shame your face is hidden behind the hood and visor..." Uraraka commented.

"You have done well to embrace the night." Approved Tokoyami as he gazed at Yuuma dark costume. Just like Tokoyami, Yuuma was sporting everything in black. "Heroism in darkness."

"Thank you." Yuuma said, not entirely sure what he meant by that but taking it as a compliment.

"Mon Ami! How will you sparkle with such dark clothing?"

"I prefer not to stand out. You can sparkle enough for the both of us." Yuuma said, earning a wide smile from Aoyama.

"Oui! My sparkle can not be matched! Isn't this cape amazing?"

"Yep. Your sparkle and cape are amazing." Yuuma nodded, and the boy seemed to light up more with the compliments. He was in shining, twinkling armor with a glittering cape which he seemed to adore. Yes, Yuuma simply did not make any other comment on it and let him have his shine, pun not intended. "Everyone's costumes are great! Grape-san, why are you in a diaper?"

Stab!

The Grape said nothing, and Yuuma did not ask further because he honestly didn't want to know. But what was he staring at as if he hit the jackpot? He didn't like that look on his face, or him, or his costume, or him even being within the came breathing air as him but he refrained from that mindset to investigate the staring. That was when his eyes landed on Yaoyorozu's costume. If anyone could see his face they'd be able to see the deep shade of red it had turned.

"Y-y-yaoyoro-ro-rozu-san?! W-why is your costume s-s-so revealing?! I'm so sorry for looking! I didn't mean to look. I'm so sorry. I'm not a meanie like Grape-san!" He was prepared to pull off his overcoat and give it to her to cover her up in his panic, but the girl only chuckled even thought she too was slightly embarrassed her costume was so revealing and stopped him.

68%

"It's okay, Kageyama-kun! Although it is a bit... revealing. I had my design made like this because my quirk requires a lot of skin to be shown."

"W-why not have your costume be a sports bra and shorts? That would expose your most of your torso and back, your arms, and your legs, wouldn't it?" Yuuma was still avoiding eye-contact entirely, and he'd already flicked the grape to the other side of the group of students as he caught him ogling her and some of the other girls disgustingly.

"A wonderful suggestion. Thank you, Kageyama-kun!" She beamed. Yuuma was so pure and innocent. So cute. She was glad of the fact that he was putting in a lot of effort to make sure she was comfortable around him. For some reason the boy was very easy to talk to. She wasn't sure if it was because of his age or if it was his kindness, but it was always calming to interact with him.

"Y-your W-welcome." He whispered, still not looking at her as to not be disrespectful. A lot of the girl's costumes were very form fitting, and he wondered how they were able to make Hagakure's costume since they wouldn't be able to see the fibers.

He hoped that they didn't think she was naked, because she wasn't. Yuuma could just barely 'see' her thanks to his Psychic Sight, just barely an outline because of the energy around her. Very open and free it was. He couldn't make out any features and she was still see though, but he could tell that she was wearing something that had the same effect as her quirk did, which was to reflect and refract the light and be invisible.

Maybe it was made with her hair over a period of time? From what he could tell, it was very thin. It wouldn't be the first time a costume had to be made like that. The only visible parts where the gloves and shoes. Must be so that others have some way to know that she'd there.

'How would she deal with colder environments if her costume has to be so thin? The same with Yaoyorozu-san, since hers has to show a lot of skin. Won't they be cold?' His thoughts wandered as he looked upon everyone else's costumes of choice.

Ojiro wore a martial arts outfit. Very easy to move in, but not much else. Jiro had amps to project sound that went well with her quirk, very nice. Shoji's costume was a simple suit that gave ample room for his arms to maneuver. Tokoyami wore a cloak. Hm, why was it only a cloak? Did it have something to do with Dark Shadow? Maybe.

Todoroki's costume was weird. Why'd he cover half of himself with ice? That just looks heavy and unnecessary.

Stab!

What does having ice all over his body help him with? Yuuma could tell that only half of his power dealt with ice, the other half was different, warmer. Fire? Again, why was he covering his body in ice like that? Yuuma was sure that he had resistances to the cold but that just screamed 'impractical'.

Stab! Stab!

That just looked uncomfortable. How was he even moving in that?

Stab!

For some reason, Shoto felt like he was being Stabbed repeatedly by some unknown force and that it had something to do with his choice of apparel. What could this be? His mind began coming up with many different theories.

Yuuma decided to just let it be, and the class made its way to where All Might was waiting for them at Ground Beta. It was very similar to where they had their entrance exams. and then he got to Izuku and his mind stopped.

'...Who you look up to the most is very obvious, Izuku. And he is standing right in front of you.'

"Izuku..." Yuuma almost sighed. Said boy flinched at his name being called in such a tone. He turned, seeing the shorter boy intently checking out his costume. He looked between him, and then All Might who was trembling (trying not to out right laugh), and then him again. "...Sigh."

Stab! HE DIDN'T EVEN SAY ANYTHING!

The boy immediately flushed red with embarrassment as Yuuma continued to just shake his head. Yes, only Izuku would wear a costume like that, a green take on his favorite hero. From the hair to the smile, Izuku had somehow managed to mimic All Might via his costume.

Yuuma was not sure whether to be impressed or embarrassed for him.

"It's not worse than wearing a diaper." He purposefully and obviously pointed at the grape, who looked offended at being called out like that.

"Hey!"

"I'm sorry, Grape-san, but you look ridiculous." Yuuma said flatly.

Stab!

"Why are you so mean to me..."

"You do not deserve kindness, Grape."

Stab!

70%

"Ouch. That had to hurt. Young Kageyama, please be a little lenient on the poor lad."

"..." Yuuma deadpanned at him, and gave him no answer. It was like the staring into his soul. All Might didn't notice it, but the boy wasn't looking at him with any ill intent, quite the opposite in fact. He was worried, and was debating on asking him about what he'd seen with his weird quirk earlier. But once again, he pushed back the need. There was a time and place and it wasn't now.

One of Aunt Airi's many lessons was patience. Opportunity didn't show itself when one wanted it to, one had to wait for it, plan for it, and snatch it for themselves the moment it came. Hungrily, viciously, and without mercy.

So, he would wait.

Nervously sweat dropping at the young boy obviously glaring holes into him, All Might thought it best to just continue with the lesson. He was on a tight schedule anyway.

"Ehem." He cleared his throat. "They say the clothes make the man, young men and ladies. Be fully aware that from now on... You are heroes!" He took a moment to view everyone in their costumes, the same wide trademark smile on his face. "That's great, everyone. You all look cool! Now, shall we begin, you zygotes?"

'Zygotes?'

All Might seemed to take a glance at Izuku's costume before looking away, once again visibly trembling in amusement. Ah, he saw the similarities too. Yuuma, once again, wasn't sure whether to suffer from second hand embarrassment or be impressed with his friend.

He decided to be impressed because he was a supportive friend.

"Sensei!" A loud voice announced. Yuuma turned to discover it was a white engine knight. Iida-san? His costume was very cool, very effective looking. It seemed to go very well with his engine quirk. "This is a battle center form the exam, so will we be conducting urban battles again?"

'Good question.' Yuuma thought, also thinking along the same lines.

"No, we're going to move ahead two steps!"

'Move ahead?' Yuuma... wasn't sure how to feel about that. But teachers taught how they wanted, and All Might was the number 1 hero and he was teaching heroics so... maybe this was for the best?

"Most of the time fighting villains takes place outside, but if you look at the numbers atrocious villains appear indoors at a higher rate."

'This is very true.' Yuuma agreed.

"Imprisonment, house arrest, backroom deals—In this society full of heroes, truly intelligent villains hide in the shadows. For this class you will be split into villain and hero teams and fight 2-on-2 indoor battles."

"Without basic training?" Asked Tsu, dawned in her frog themed apparel.

"This is a real battle to understand those basics!"

'How will they know the basics if you don't teach them the basics, Mr. Might, sir?' Yuuma thought, his face a careful, unyielding blank expression.

"However," He continued, "the key this time is that there isn't a robot you can just beat up."

"How will wins and losses be determined?" Asked Yaoyorozu.

'How well the objective of each team is executed, maybe?'

"Can we beat them up anyway?" Obviously Katsuki.

'No, Katsuki-nii. You can not treat them like robots.'

"Will the punishment be expulsion like with Aizawa-Sensei?" A question from Uraraka.

'Most likely no, Uncle Zawa is just sadistic.'

"How shall we be split up?" Asked Iida, accompanying it with a robotic hand chop.

'Interesting question...'

"Isn't this cape crazy?" Aoyama lifted his cape which no one was paying attention to.

'Yeah, super crazy.' Yuuma answered mentally. He could see the nervous waves coming off of All Might as he didn't know how to deal with the bombardment of questions.

"I'll answer all of your questions!"

He proceeded to read from a script. Explaining the exercise, how the villains and heroes will win said exercise, and how the teams would be made. It reminded him of the obstacle course training he did with his aunt, even though it was fundamentally different in terms of goals.

Strangely, he felt a wave of excitement come over him. It was something he was mildly familiar with. Another thing he'd have to thank his aunt for the next time she called home. As she was going to be busy with her case, she checked in with them and their grandmother every morning before they left home for school and every night before they went to sleep.

But the way they were being paired with each other, even if it fit a real world situation where one didn't get to pick and choose their partners, he was really hoping two individuals wouldn't end up anywhere near each other. He knew that this was not going to end well for them if they did. If there is a God, please, please, do not pair them either with or against each other.

[A/N] ...no comment.

They did the random slots, and the results were this.

Team A: Izuku Midoriya and Ochako Uraraka

Team B: Mezo Shoji and Shoto Todoroki

Team C: Momo Yaoyorozu and Minoru Mineta

Team D: Katsuki Bakugo and Yuuma Kageyama

Team E: Yuga Aoyama and Mina Ashido

Team F: Koji Koda and Tenya Iida

Team G: Denki Kaminari and Kyoka Jiro

Team H: Fumikage Tokoyami and Tsuyu Asui

Team I: Mashirao Ojiro and Toru Hagakure

Team J: Eijiro Kirishima and Hanta Sero

'Yes, they are on different teams! I'm with Katsuki-nii it seems. I wonder who we'll be up against?'

"It must be fate! I'm counting on you!" Uraraka seemed especially happy she was paired with Izuku, who seemed to be panicking. 'Good luck, Izuku.' Yuuma cheered on his friend mentally. He made his way over to Katsuki, getting a nice glance of his costume.

He had grenades on his arms. Giant, imposing grenades. That looks lethal, and knowing Katsuki, that is exactly the point. Yuuma wondered how they were designed and their function, Katsuki was very smart when it came to things like this, so he knew it worked to maximize what he could do with his quirk.

If they were going to be indoors, Yuuma hoped Katsuki wouldn't let off a big blast. No, he wouldn't do something so insane. Katsuki has great control over the output of his blasts, so hopefully something like that won't be a problem.

Right?

All might got other boxes labeled 'Villain' and 'Hero' and dug his hands into them. The anticipation was almost palpable. "The first teams to fight will be..."

He pulled out the balls, raising them in the air for all to see. "These guys!"

'D' as the Villains, and 'A' as the heroes.

Izuku was sure that this was the end of the world and that the apocalypse was upon him. Uraraka didn't have the slightest idea of the mess that was coming, and Katsuki looked about ready to commit homicide with the feral, malicious grin that was adorning his face.

Yuuma looked on with a carefully placed, unyieldingly blank expression. He looked between Izuku and Katsuki, he looked towards Uraraka who could probably sense the tension, and then he finally looked to All Might who had no idea the series of events he may have possibly set in motion.

'Mr. Might, please say sike, sir.'

He didn't.

"Everyone else head to the monitor room." Everyone headed off... everyone except the teams that had been picked. Katsuki was glaring daggers into Izuku, who looked nervous. Yuuma watched silently from the background. It was like they were in their own little world, not even acknowledging he was there. Izuku was trembling, he was scared when he met Katsuki's burning gaze.

Why was he afraid of Katsuki? What had happened between them when he wasn't around? Yuuma was once again faced with those feelings from before. They were stronger than they were then and he didn't have enough time to calm himself down. In, Out. He saw when Izuku clenched his fist and built his resolve, sending Katsuki a glare back which caught the ash blond off guard.

And made him even angrier than he already was.

They made their way to where they were supposed to go with All Might's instructions, and Yuuma had to watch as Katsuki's rage built to untold amounts and Izuku gaining a look of both determination and fear as they made their way to their posts.

Neither noticed that a young boy was also present. Neither of them noticed he was reading them both while masking his own presence. It was like he wasn't there at all, a skill he learned from his aunt as another line of defense. So he was watching their short exchange, Izuku's fear, Katsuki's egotistical anger and... jealousy? Was it jealousy that fueled his anger?

Was their something that Izuku had that Katsuki didn't that made the latter hate him so much? But why? And how much could Katsuki had of tormented Izuku for him to be this scared of him? Why? Why were they like this with each other?

"What's going on?" The boys flinched back, having not noticed that the boy was behind them. He had a carefully neutral façade which didn't give away what he was thinking.

"N-nothing. It's nothing, Yuuma-chan."

82%

A lie. To his face. Again. Did they think he was dumb? Naïve? Blind?

"Villain team, head into the building. You have five minutes before the heroes infiltrate!" All Might bellowed, heading off with impressive speed back to the monitoring room where the rest of the class would be waiting and watching.

He'd giving each of them coms so they'd be able to talk to their teammate, and they both headed off to where the "bomb" was. They had a map which gave them an advantage and had freedom to move the bomb however they wished. They also received capture tape for apprehending the enemy team; they had to wrap it around their body fully in order for it to count as a capture.

They got there where the bomb was, and Yuuma could see that Katsuki was silently going through something in his mind. It had to be something dealing with Izuku, who he wished he wasn't up against for this very reason.

Yeah, he wanted them to be friends like how Izuku said they used to be, but he knew that mending that bond would take a lot of time and effort. It was too soon for them to be going against each other. He knew that this was something they'd have to work out on their own in their own way.

"Yuuma, that nerd has a quirk?" Katsuki finally said, breaking the silence they'd had since walking in.

"That's kinda obvious, Katsuki-nii. You saw it yourself, we both did." Yuuma answered matter-of-factly. Yuuma could see the waves of resentment and rage roll off Katsuki, and the his own frown deepened. "It bothers me that he didn't tell me without me catching him, but being mad about it will do nothing."

Silence.

"I can see why you'd be upset. I was upset he was keeping it from me too, but I understand when things are hard to explain. I... understand that feeling all too well."

Yuuma felt that same feeling from before, when he found out they'd been keeping him in the dark about how bad their relationship was. It made his eyes twitch slightly. What was it? He couldn't quite place it, it had been a very long time since he'd felt this particular emotion.

He didn't like it.

"Katsuki, I know you and him aren't on good terms, but please don't bring that into this exercise. We need to make a plan to protect the bomb." Yuuma warned. There is a time and a place to deal with emotions, and now wasn't one of them.

85%

'Does that mean he lied to me? All of this time, was he making fun of me behind my back? He tricked me!' Katsuki thought in silent, surging rage. His rage blinded any type of judgement he would have normally had. It didn't matter that Yuuma was talking to him right now or that he was making sense, right now his only agenda was that insufferable Deku.

Yuuma had no idea that his words hadn't been heeded and returned his gaze to the bomb in their possession. What could he do to hide it? The room was very spacious, with not much else in it, which made the bomb stick out like a sore thumb. He could just keep it floating on the ceiling, but this wasn't ideal. Who would want to hold a bomb?

Keeping Katsuki near a bomb was also not a good idea. Even if it's fake, Yuuma wanted to think of it like a real situation. One wouldn't keep someone with an explosive quirk near their bomb, that was irrational and quite frankly, very stupid.

But Katsuki was also very strong and a great offense is also a decent defense. Sadly, in this case, it wouldn't quite work. If Katsuki set off his quirk too close the bomb would be damaged and they'd lose.

Then there was the option of both of them going after the hero team, but that had disadvantages. One, they'd be leaving the bomb unprotected, and it wasn't like they had any suitable quirks to make up for it by hiding it somewhere in the room. Two, even if the hero team doesn't know where the bomb is, going to them gives them as much opportunity to win as it did them.

He didn't want to give the hero team any advantages. Even if they were his friend, they were on opposing side, and he was going to make it as one-sided as he possibly could.

Why would he give the enemy a chance to win? That's just dumb.

If they got captured, they lose.

If the bomb is touched by the heroes, they lose.

There is nowhere to hide the bomb and moving it from the room is reckless. If the heroes get close, it was possible to play a game of keep away until the timer went out. This would be very stressful, however, as defending something while also attacking something else was difficult. He'd suffered enough loses from his aunt to know this fact.

But that was only if they got close, and these were students, not a trained adult. Yuuma wasn't sure, but would he have an advantage in close quarters combat? What if Uraraka managed to touch him and make him float? He could get around it. If Izuku used that destructive quirk it would be a disaster.

But if he was smart, he wouldn't use it. He'd become useless if he did, and Yuuma wasn't going to try and force him to use it because of this fact either.

There was the option to go after the heroes, but that was irrational since they'd have to find them and this would take them time. Yuuma thought about placing his psychic barriers near the entrances of the room, but his range was very limited so he threw that idea out almost immediately.

Yuuma needed to talk with Katsuki about their plan, maybe he'd have more ideas? After taking these few moments going through his thoughts, he wanted to share them with his partner to hear his opinion. "Katsu—"

But Katsuki was gone. Having left the first few moments Yuuma started thinking up ideas about protecting the bomb. He walked out the room without a word.

...What?

Yuuma felt something snap in him. Had Katsuki completely disregarded him this entire time?

Did he forget that this was a team exercise?

Did he forget that they had to communicate?

Did he forget that he wasn't the only one upset about the situation with Izuku's quirk?

Did he forget he wasn't the only capable of getting upset?

Did he not even think to notice that Yuuma was trying hard to hold himself together? Everything that he was dealing with was starting to show themselves and he didn't want that.

The weird dreams he had almost every night, Ritsu being scared by something, his every growing emotions that were getting harder to keep in check, his own fears. His own doubts. Any loose pebbles that were in the room were beginning to float, any dust was starting to vibrate. Even the fact that they were staring off with something like this was ebbing on his mind. He was worried for his friends, he was worried about All Might's injury, he was worried about doing a good job, he was worried about Ritsu, he was worried about his Aunt, he—

He was tired of being worried.

"Now, let's start the person-to-person combat training with Team A and Team D!" All Might's voice echoed over the intercom. Katsuki had gone off who knows where and now the hero team, Izuku and Uraraka, were now on their way. They hadn't discussed anything with each other, Katsuki was just doing whatever he wanted. Yuuma was on his own defending the bomb.

'It's fine. Everything... is fine. Adapt to the situation.' Yuuma told himself. He had no time to worry about a rouge teammate right now. As much as he wanted to be a hero, he was a villain right now. If Katsuki was going to run off on his own, let him. He'd help him out as much as he could from this distance.

He closed his eyes, spreading out his psychic energy around him. A mental map of the building came into view. Since he only needed to view the building, he had more range with his quirk. It wasn't long until he was able to sense where Katsuki was, as well as all of his growing rage which Yuuma wasn't sure he liked in this moment. He was getting bad vibes from this, but hopefully Katsuki could control himself enough to not do something stupid.

Soon enough, Uraraka and Izuku had infiltrated the building, and Yuuma was able to detect them immediately since he'd memorized the unique feel of their energy. He tapped the commlink in his ear, getting in touch with Katsuki. "Katsuki, they're two floors below you. Don't do something stupid."

"WH—" He cut the link off, not wanting to hear anything from Katsuki at the moment. He'd keep an eye on them from where he was, but he wasn't going to go out of his way to reason and calm his rage and obvious grudge. Being kind and reasonable and passive all of the time... got tiring.

Yuuma was honestly tired.

Hopefully Izuku played smart and didn't use his quirk for this. As much as that would put them at a disadvantage, using it put him at a bigger disadvantage since he couldn't control it at all. Hopefully Katsuki, as rogue as he was being right now, didn't get himself captured. Hopefully this dreaded feeling that something was about to happen was just his imagination and he was worried for nothing.

Yes. This would be a normal exercise and they have fun doing it. As much as this was an assignment he wanted to do well in, it was a class for learning and growth. There was no need to not enjoy it, and he wanted to take everything he can from it. And they had the number one hero as their teacher, if anything did go wrong he would step in and stop it...

Right?

Using his telekinesis, he grabbed a few clear, weighted marbles from the hidden pockets in his costume. If he wasn't using his quirk, his aunt had him practice with a launcher he had made and placed on his right forearm. It was sort of like a crossbow, and the scope in his visor helped with aiming. He was good with it, but nothing beat his control with his telekinesis.

He hadn't opened his eyes, not once, as he was 'watching' everything that was happening with the hero team and Katsuki. Even if Katsuki didn't want help and wanted to run off on his own because of his own uncontrolled emotions like some child, Yuuma was going to help him.

Yuuma took a breath, and then another, and then another. If he was going to play the role of villain, then he was going to put all of his effort into it. He would protect the bomb, with or without Katsuki's help, and he would win this exercise. He trained for this, this... was his domain.

He'd make it his domain.

He just hoped everything wouldn't go wrong. That he wouldn't get swept up into his own emotions. He wanted to control himself. As scared as he was of letting this emotion out, it was getting harder not to feel it.

He opened his eyes, keeping himself alert to everything around him. Every change, everything tremor, everything around him. He was taught to take training seriously, to take care of his own, and to adapt to anything thrown at him. This would be a learning experience for him, as everything was.

"Since they stand against me, I will become a wall they can not overcome. Try to get pass me, Heroes."

Progress Until Breakdown: 87%

[A/N] Tell me what you think of Yuuma's choice of costume! Since Yuuma is one for usefulness rather than flashiness, I thought that tactical gear would be perfect for him. And I wanted to highlight the point that even though Katsuki and Izuku acknowledged the fact that they'd been subconsciously pushing Yuuma aside and away from their problems, that the change for the better wouldn't just magically happen. Change takes time, and hopefully I'm writing that fact well... I really hope I am.

Also, a little note on his abilities: The way he masks his presence is to simply reel in his energy. I thought "If he can spread it out, why not do the opposite?". And thus, a pseudo form of a stealth skill was born! The essence of a Mob!

See you next chapter!
