Growing up in a tavern  you cant help but develop a strong love for music and adventure, Makayla was of no exception to this fact. when Makayla was a baby her parents left her on the doorstep of a tavern owner and ex bardic adventure who welcomed her with open arms, of course he had no choice seeing as how when he opened the door all that was left was Makayla and an axe with a note that read {please take care of our dear Makayla we have no other choice and she is not safe with us.}  As a child Makayla saw a bounty of adventurers. Out of all the classes shes run into bards were always her favorite, they were always the most cheerful even in the most trying of times bards have always had a smile on their face. Makayla's father took notice of how much she admired bards and when she turned 15 he bought her a lute, she was exhilarated and immediately started strumming along to the music in the tavern. She was no expert of course but with a few years of practice she got good, so good in fact that a bard from the school of Lore decided to send her with a letter of recommendation. At the age of 17 Makayla was accepted to the school of Lore.
