Chapter 41

Dark.

And silence.

But at once, bright yellow-white light spread around.

With a loud bang.

The light, bang and shock pushed Arimia out of the box she was in.

Arimia jerked head forward, coughing. Her mouth and the windpipe were dried like a crop that had no rain from seven years.

The light turned into different coloured, blurred light blots. She blinked a few times. The light blots turned into objects. It was not hard for her to understand where she was.

It was just an abandoned room sunk in darkness,

She pulled her hands forward, but they made no move. She tried again, and a sharp pinching pain ran through her arms. Clenching teeth, she struggled to free up her hands. But every move only caused increasing pain.

She turned her head back, her eyes moved to the coarse, damaged barbed wire that had tied down her hands and had pierced into the skin. She shook her hands, but the pain when barbs pierced into her skin failed to earn at least a groan from her.

Turning her head around, she searched for something she could use to get rid of those chains. But there were no tools that could use to cut down the chain.

A few seconds later, a light of hope lit in her eyes.

She moved her hands closer to a pocket of her trousers and pulled her wand out. Pointing it toward the chain, she inhaled and closed eyes.

Break it down.

A blue light hit the chain, scattering the pieces around.

Arimia looked at the chains around her ankles and pointed her wand towards it too. As its pieces scattered around, she jumped away from them and stepped to the door.

Before stepping out of the room, she put her head out, checking whether the outside is safe to go.

The room she was in the same corridor, and it comforted her more than anything else. She walked – actually ran through the corridor and finally arrived at the door that leads to the centric courtyard.

Her mouth dried out as her eyes caught the scene in there.

Ansela stood in the middle of there, her body shaking like a drunken's while emitting a bright white light. Hafinna was holding her wand pointed at Ansela, with a dreadful smile on her face.

Arimia's mind fled through a fast flashback, through a memory she never wanted to remember again.

I won't let the same happen again. Arimia tightened her grip around the wand.

As a light green and yellow light released from Hafinna's wand, she jumped between Ansela and Hafinna, waving her wand fast. The air between them glittered, and the green-yellow light hit on the glittering surface and blasted it.

The shock pushed them back, increasing the gap between them.

Arimia bent backwards, pulling her hands to the sides, but her foot slipped.

Ansela held her hand tight and pulled her towards her.

"You okay?" She asked with a low voice and Arimia nodded.

"Let me fight with Hafinna and try to" Ansela swallowed the rest of the sentence and pushed Arimia to a passage. Arimia barely stopped her crashing with the wall.

She stretched out her arms as the wall of the hallway seemed to be gradually approaching. Her hands hit the wall and she immediately fell to the ground. Her knees hit the ground, and she bit her lower lip and stopped the squeal that was about to escape from her mouth.

A sudden electrical shock ran through her legs, staring from her knees.

A shadow was on the floor before her. She took her eyes along the shadow and stopped at a pair of brown boots.

She lifted head.

Blue jeans, dark green t-shirt, black, straight hair, plumpy pink lips, fair complexion, pointy nose, black shining eyes, thin eyebrows...

Arimia's jaw dropped. "Min Su?"

Min Su kept her lips pursed, her eyes pointed at Arimia emotionlessly.

"Min Su?" Arimia stood on her feet and got close to her. But Min Su pushed her back. What are you doing here?"

"Seeking revenge."

"Seeking revenge?" Arimia repeated. "Did Hafinna killed som-"

Min Su pulled by Arimia's T-shirt tight and pressed her to the wall. "Madam Hafinna is the one who helps me to seek Revenge."

"Min Su, are you alright? Hafinna is the one who-" Before she could complete the sentence, Min Su pulled a dagger and brought it closer to Arimia's chest. the etch of a half flame and half water drop that surrounded by a circle could send chills through Arimia's spine.

"If you talk another single word against Hafinna this will pierce into your heart!" She teetered, her warm breath hitting Arimia's cheeks. "I want to kill that bitch, Ansela."

"Ansela?" Arimia's eyes widened. "For what?"

"She killed Toby and she will pay for that."

"No, she didn't kill him!" Arimia shook head and a grown escaped from her mouth as Min Su hit her stomach.

"she did and if you're also taking her side, I got no choice." Min Su got the Mayaghat closer to Arimia's chest. Arimia tightened her grip around her wand and kicked Min Su with her knees. Min Su bent, releasing Arimia.

Arimia pulled her hand with the wand forward. "Barriers!"

The air between them glittered. Min Su pulled out a wand and pointed it towards Arimia.

The barrier stopped the stunning curse. Min Su continued to send curses and Arimia continued to block them.

"no need to fight." She yelled, blocking a stunning curse. "we are friends, aren't we?"

"We are no longer friends because you are helping the one who killed Toby." Min Su yelled back.

"she did not kill Toby, I swear on myself!" Arimia screamed.

"that much trust?" Min Su chuckled sarcastically. "Why are you protecting her what is happening between you two? are you two fiances?"

Arimia wetted her lips with tongue, blinking.

"You are silent, and may I take it as a yes?" Min Su shook head. A dark red light released from her wand and it moved to Arimia. Though Arimia tried to block it, it was still coming towards her.

"You disgusting lesbian bitches! You two should suffer and die!"

Arimia clenched teeth, her nails piercing into her palms. She wanted to curse Min Su, but...

She was my friend. She blinked, stepping back.

"Die, bitch!" Min Su lifted her hand with the Mayaghat.

Arimia's eyes moved to the pillar that was a few feet before Min Su. She inhaled deep, squeezing eyes and aimed her wand at it.

A dark purple light hit the pillar and cracks ran through its white-yellow surface.

Bang!

The slightly visible white light released from her wand and stopped the pieces of the pillar that was thrown towards her.

With a subtle creaking sound, dust fell above them. Arimia lifted head.

Cracks we are running through the wooden passage above them, the dust on it falling down.

For a reason even she did not understand, Arimia pointed the wand to Min Su. A blue, rope-like, light curled around Min Su, tying her down.

Arimia jumped out of the corridor and pulled her wand towards her. A collapsed Min Su was pulled towards her. Arimia held her and moved away from the passage as the creaking sound increased.

And then, the shock came up with a loud bang threw them a few feet back.
