Chapter 9. The List

Dad was now 100% Santa by now, he wore red often...he had a white beard and he spent a lot more time with me and Charlie

I still didn't tell dad about me and Bernard.

It was November 2nd and I got the job application as a waitress as I graduated high school a few months back.

I was finished cleaning the table at the restaturant I worked at, then my boss came out. "Y/N."

"Yes sir?" I turned around.

"Well done for today."

I nodded. "Thank you sir."

I hopped on my bike and went home.

I arrived at home and opened the door.

"DAD!? WHAT THE ACTUAL-"

"The Naughty and Nice List. I'm suppose to check it twice." He grinned.

I then found a present addressed to:

Y/N Calvin

I then ran upstairs while dad was busy checking the list. I opened the present and it was a Gingerbread Decoration and it was Gorgeous. It also had a note.

The note said:

To: The most beautiful Y/N

I know it's only

November/October buthere's a gift for Christmas And call me <3

Love: B

I smiled. "I wish to speak to Bernard!"

Bernard came in about 50 seconds.

"Hey Snowflake."

"Hello Darling." I hugged him.

"Did you like your gift?" He asked, smiling.

I nodded. "Yes! Thank you so much. I got you a little something." I walked over to my one of my draws. "So after work last week I went to get some cookies for dad. And I came across the mug." I showed Bernard it. It was a plain white mug and it said #1 Head Elf.

He chuckled. "Thank you so much Y/N."

I smiled. "Don't flatter yourself." I sarcastically said.

My dad came in and Bernard was terrified.

"Hey dad!" I smiled.

"Why on earth is Bernard here?" Dad asked.

Bernard gulped.

I mouthed to Bernard. "Should I?"

Bernard shook his head.

"Well, me and Bernard well...are really good friends."

Dad gave Bernard a cold stare. "Ok..."

"I'm going to the shop want anything?" Dad asked.

"Nope."  I smiled. "Try not to get called Santa again."

"When I am Santa? Hard choice."

As dad left. Me and my boyfriend took a sigh of relief. "Close one."

"Yup."
