Chapter One

"Oh I wish you would have been called in earlier." Alma Patton sighed, wiping her forehead as Judith entered the Rosa Lee Teabag shop to start her shift.

"Was it busy?" Judith asked her, noting only a couple of customers that were walking around eyeing several containers of teabags.

"We were absolutely swamped and I had no idea what to do."

"There, there, Alma." Judith chuckled lightly, patting her newest co-worker on the back. "It couldn't have been all that bad."

"Everyone kept asking me for all sorts of teas! Which one will help me sleep? Which one will reduce nightmares?"

Judith frowned at the requested teas as she slipped on her apron. "Those are the common ones normally asked for." she explained.

"But why?"

"Many find it hard to sleep because of the..well...post war." she whispered hoping no one in the shop overheard them.

"Oooh." Alma nodded her head. "That makes a lot more sense. I recommended Chamomile for everything."

"Everything?" Judith repeated staring at the blonde, seated on the stool, slouched over.

"Yes, trouble sleeping, constipation..."

"Okay," Judith waved her hand stopping the woman from going any further. "Chamomile is good for sleeping troubles, so you did good there, but for constipation, the go-to tea is Senna."

"Ugh, how do you know all of these? I can hardly remember what I had for breakfast this morning."

"Don't worry," Judith laughed to herself, " it takes a while to learn. I had Madame Caldwell teach me herself and it took me a good while until I was able to recall it all. It was like studying for O.W.Ls again."

Alma groaned loudly startling some of the customers. "I didn't do so great on my O.W.L.s either. I'm doomed."

"You're not doomed." Judith placed her hand on Alma's shoulder. "There's also a quick way to know all the teas and their benefits."

"Yeah? What is it?"

"This book right here called Teas and Their Benefits."

"Oh."

While Alma worked behind the counter filling customer's tea requests, Judith found herself sitting on a ladder sorting various kinds of teas that they carried for sale. Normally, it would go by much faster with the use of her wand, but considering Alma had smacked a woman in the face with a box of peppermint tea, employees were requested to sort by hand using no magic at all.

However, Judith didn't mind, she enjoyed sorting, it kept her occupied and often led to customers starting conversations with her while she was out on the floor.

With the new shipment of Jasmine tea, Judith was carefully stacking the boxes when she was interrupted by a voice. She glanced down from the shelf to see an older red headed woman, one she recognized from the King's Cross Station on the mornings when she boarded the Hogwarts Express.

The matriarch of the Weasley family.

"Sorry to disturb you dear, " the woman said. Judith noticed the bags under eyes, but the kindness shining through the bright brown irises. "But I was wondering if you could help me."

"Of course," Judith smiled warmly at her. "You're not disturbing me at all, what can I help you with?"

Judith was amazed at how strong the genetics were among the Weasley family, all of them bright red hair ,the brown eyes, and freckles sprinkled about. Several of the Weasley children had been her classmates while she was in school. She was in the same year as the Weasley twins, Fred and George. Tragically, she knew that Fred had lost his life during the Battle of Hogwarts as well.

She didn't have much interaction with any of the family members, most of her classes were among the other Ravenclaws and Hufflepuff students, but she did know the twins through Quidditch matches, where Renna had played Keeper under Roger Davies captaincy for a couple of years. The two would joke saying Judith was Renna's biggest and loudest fan in the stands. All the while, Renna had tried to encourage Judith to try out or at least play, but Judith really only found her interest in watching and yelling in the stands.

She remembered George and Fred as two terrific Beaters on the Gryffindor team, it was undeniable, even if she didn't like her team losing. So while, she hadn't known the family on a personal level, she knew of them.

It was also hard to miss the Weasley name with the Weasleys' Wizard Wheezes shop down the way from the tea shop.

"My son, he's been having so much trouble sleeping, with night terrors and overall stresses, there hasn't been much to help him. I was thinking about convincing him to at least drink some tea. Do you have any recommendations?"

"I do, may I see what you have so far?"

Judith grimaced at the selections before carefully taking one of the boxes.

"You're going to want to avoid Valerian root, it's been known to trigger some lucid dreaming and making dreams a lot more vivid. You wouldn't want that for someone suffering from nightmares."

"Oh no! I wouldn't! That's the last thing I want."

Judith placed the tea box back and scanned the shelves for the appropriate tea.

"I would suggest this one." Judith picking up one box. "I use this tea personally at night, it really helps me sleep. It's a mixture of Chamomile, spearmint, a hint of lemongrass and a few other leaves. It's not bad tasting either. I'm pretty picky when it comes to my tea, and this one is my favorite for nights when I can't fall asleep."

"I might just buy some for myself." Mrs. Weasley smiled at her.

"If you want I can give you a taste of it. I'm sure you won't want a full cup, not if you plan on being on your feet for a little while longer. And I might have some free samples in the back, so you can try it out and then buy it later on if you and your son like it."

'That would be lovely. Thank you so much." Judith felt a warm hand on her back. She looked over her shoulder and grinned.

"It's no problem at all. I'm happy to help."

After collecting the free samples from the back and getting Mrs. Weasley all set, Judith wished the woman a good day and sat down beside Alma.

"That was the Weasley mother wasn't it?" Alma asked her sorting through the change drawer.

"Yeah, it was. Brave woman. I can't imagine what she goes through, losing her son like that." Judith placed her elbow on the counter and rested her chin in her palm.

She sighed as her mind wandered back to Renna.

"The war took too many." she mumbled before heading to the back again.

When her shift ended, Judith was ready to go home and relax for a bit in the comfort of her flat. She wished Alma a good afternoon and headed out.

She hummed a little tune to herself as she tucked her face into her scarf as the cold air burned her cheeks.

Knowing she was more than capable of apparating to her flat to avoid the cold, Judith always enjoyed her walk from work to home.

Waving to a few other shop workers in passing, Judith liked to see more and more people returning to Diagon Alley. After the war, many didn't leave their homes in fear and others due to the fact that they were still mourning. But slowly, the wizarding community was coming back to life.

"Hello Monty." she greeted the Screech Owl resting on the railing outside of her flat. "Perfect flying weather for you, isn't it?"

Her owl went to nip at her but she quickly jerked her hand away.

"I don't have anything for you. I literally just got home from work, give me a break will you?"

She collected the envelopes of mail that Monty had dropped at her doorstep and walked inside to get out of the cold. The owl swooped in behind her and rested on the back of one of the chairs in the kitchen.

Judith left to her room to change in the loosest fitting clothing she could find to get comfortable. Returning to the kitchen area, she heard Monty screech loudly in the kitchen.

"What are you going on about now?"

But as the owl grew louder, Judith became concerned.

"Monty, what are you doing?!" she said rounding the corner when suddenly, she caught sight of a shadowy figure in the hall.

Freezing in the doorway, Judith's face paled as the figure began walking towards her.

"Wh-wh-who's there?" she called out. "Wh-"

She stopped when a familiar face stepped into the lighting of her kitchen and finally Monty settled down. Judith's eyes grew wide as she stared at the person standing before her.

"So, you can hear me and see me." the grin stretched across their face at her reaction.

Judith's legs nearly collapsed under her as she gripped to the door frame in pure shock.

"N-n-no, this can't be...y-y-you're dead."

"Correction...I'm Fred."
