Y/n was on a mission with Tengen in the woods. There was a huge mansion in the middle of it, and we heard that a demon was lurking around the area stealing people, apparently it got to the point where the owners children went missing.

"The servants kept disappearing night after night, there was always a claw mark on either the floor or wall. My children went missing last night! Please help us!" The man said bowing on the floor sobbing. 'This man is worried about is kids. Unlike my parents who didn't think twice about selling us' y/n thought while looking at the man.

"Do not be worried sir! Me and my tsukugo will look into it!" Tengen said with flare. "Oh thank you young man! I'll have room for you and the young lady to sleep until night fall" y/n and Tengen both nodded and followed two servants. Tengen followed the male and y/n went with the female.

"It's hard to believe such a pretty young lady would be a demon slayer" the girl said looking back at me. "Y-yeah I hear that a lot" y/n said not trying to sound rude. "Any man would fall for you the moment they lay eyes on you" "Ummm thank you?" The moment was getting awkward.

"Here is your room ma'am" she said bowing. "There is a change of clothes for you next to the bed" "thank you. And you can just call me Uzui" y/n took in Tengens name when she was fully adopted.

"Yes miss Uzui, my name is Layla" she walked off after she said that. Y/n walked in the room and saw a folded white yukata next to a futon. After she got dressed she lied down and thought of something

I felt something off about those two servants. Like . . .

Demon energy

No way that can't be right. Can it?

(Tengen pov)
*a few minutes before*
"Here is your room sir" he said bowing. "Why thank you" "hey by any chance, is that girl taken?"

I put my hand on his head and gave him a glare "sorry. But you don't have a chance with her" the guy was shaken with fear after that 'hah looser' I took my hand off his head and that was when I felt weird. He had a strange sound to him.

"Umm sir. . ." I realised I was spacing out. "Oh sorry". "Oh by the way my name is Nyx. I'll be here when you need me" with that he went off. 'I hear a strange sound coming from them. They are most likely not human. And if they are, then I feel like it's going to be a flashy fight.'

(Time skip to night. Still in Tengen pov)
We woke up to sunset and had our uniform on and ready. "So sir, what is the case?" I asked the owner.

"We had more servants in the past, but they went missing along with some of our clients. The culprit decided one night to take both my children. I had a few demon slayers in the past to come and take a look but they disappeared as well." The man was sobbing at this point.

"So that's why they ordered a hashira to come here" I said with a serious tone. 'This makes no sense, why would the culprit take the servants, then the clients, then when demon slayers got involved they took them too. And now their recent kidnapping was the owners children. What is it that I'm missing' I was puzzled until I felt a tap on my arm.

I looked at y/n, the one who tapped me, "come on we gotta go" she said standing up. I followed suit. Why do I have a bad feeling.

(Y/n pov)
Me and Tengen walked around the place talking to some of the people. It was all the same. We had gotten no where with anything, that was when I heard a noise through the hall. I got up and ran to the noise. "Y/n? Y/n!" I heard Tengen call out to me, but I couldn't turn back. It was like I was being pulled into something.

Then I blacked out.

I woke up to a waterfall sound . . .
Wait . . . waterfall? I woke up to what looked like a cave with crystals next to the waterfalls.

"I see you are awake" I looked up to find a man.

"To think a young girl would be a demon slayer" he said getting up. "I would love to know more about you but . . ." before I knew it, he was in front of me

"I'll just eat you instead"
