Chapter 1 - The glade

~L-Jay's view~

I was working in the glade when I heard it .... THE BOX!!!

"Why is the box back? Is there another person coming? I hope the person is nice.", these questions flashed through my mind. But I also remembered when I got to the glade.

~Retrospect~

I woke up with a jolt. Suddenly, I realized that I was in some kind of metal cage that was going up frantically. I screamed for help and pounded on the cage walls. I was scared because it was about to hit the top of the metal box. Curled up into a ball and squeezing my eyes shut, I sat down in the middle of the box.

But the cage stopped and it became dark...

After a short time, the hatch opened and sunshine beamed in my face. "Should I get out of this cage? Should I wait?" After a moment's thought, I carefully stood up and got out of the box.
I didn't see anyone. The only thing I saw was a sort of glade surrounded by walls. I looked around a bit, finding that there was a small pond in the forest.
After my exploration, I cleared out the boxes that had come up with me. There was also some wood, so I knew I had to build a hut. This I also did.

~1 month later; present~

I ran to the box. Sure enough ... there was a blond boy sitting in it. He looked pretty scared, so I carefully got into the box.

I sat down in front of the boy and said in a low and careful voice: "Heyy, everything is fine. You don't have to be afraid. I am L-Jay. Do you know your name?" After a moment's hesitation, he said, stuttering a bit, "N..No, no I d...d...don't know my name. Why do I not know my name?" "It's okay, your name will come back to you in a few days at the latest. But until then...let me show you the glade", I replied, holding out my hand to him and smiling at the blond haired man.

We walked through the clearing and I explained everything to him. Until we finally arrived at the lookout tower. I climbed up the ladder, turned around again at the halfway point and said with a big smile, "I hope you're not afraid of heights, greenie!" After a few seconds, the greenie made his way up as well.

Once at the top, I started talking, "Well...this is the glade. We'll have to watch what we have. But I'll tell you one thing...NEVER, really NEVER go behind those walls!!!" You could see some fear on his face, so he said no more.

After that I still showed the boy the sleeping places. The boy sat down in his hammock - since I had only built one hut so far - when suddenly he said something, " Oh my God, I remember my name. I'm Newt!" I was happy for him and you could hear it in my voice, "That's great!!! Let's celebrate it tomorrow! We should get some sleep, it's been a busy day. If you need anything, come to me. You know where my hut is. So good night, Newt!" "Good night," he replied.

I was already on my way out when Newt said something again, "Umm ... L-Jay wait a minute." I turned around, "Yeah, what's up?" Newt complemented with, "Thanks!" smiling at me. I smiled back and responded with, "You're welcome, it's no problem." And with those words I left the sleeping place, but one thing I thought to myself, "He's already cute...and nice too:)"I made my way to my hut and put on some comfortable clothes. Shortly after, I snuggled into my blanket and fell into the land of dreams.

~Newt's View~

L-Jay had already shown me around and was just taking me to my sleeping place. Then suddenly I remembered my name. I reported it to L-Jay and she was happy. "She's so cute when she smiles while being happy," this thought popped into my head. We said good night to each other and I thanked her. Afterwards I lay down and thought about the day, but L-Jay was also in my thoughts. After a short time I fell asleep with a smile on my face.
