Equestrians

Equestrians are the types of people who live for what the do.

The types of people who live for the ones involved in what they do.

The types of people who live for the feeling they get from what they do.

The horses that have taught them what they know.

The horses that have yet to teach them life's most important lessons.

The horses that challenge them.

The horses that treat them like their own foal.

The horses that attack them.

The horses that defend them.

The horses that hate them.

The horses that love them.

And that one special horse that gives them shelter amidst the storm.

That one special horse who has taught them what love really is.

That one special horse that they can tell anything.

That one special horse who may not be theirs, but has certainly chosen them.

That one special horse who has been with them through everything.

The feeling you get from jumping five feet.

The feeling of when you have a perfect ride on the chestnut mare.

The feeling of your first jump.

The feeling of your first time cantering.

The feeling from meeting your heart horse.

The feeling of tacking up.

The feeling of being on the horse you wanted for your lesson.

The feeling of leasing your first horse.

The feeling of your first show.

The feeling of buying your first horse.

The feeling of when the smell first hits you when you get to the stable.

The feeling of when your horse won't stop tossing their head.

The feeling of curry comb in hand.

The feeling of reins between your fingers.

The feeling of riding bareback and feeling all of your horses motions.

The feeling of being mad at your horse but loving them anyway.

The feeling of your horse losing a shoe in the middle of a ride.

The feeling of being covered in fur after a ride in early spring.

The feeling of nearly falling off but saving it just in time.

The feeling of losing a stirrup over a jump.

The feeling of your saddle slipping in the middle of a show.

The feeling of the annoying helper asking to ride your horse again and again.

The feeling of accomplishment of your horse looking perfect after a grooming session.

The feeling of a rude trainer.

The feeling of your lesson starting late because your trainer can't tell time apparently.

The feeling of falling in love with your lesson horse.

The feeling of getting first place.

The feeling of being in lessons with your best friend.

The feeling of being an equestrian.
