Chapter 011

Anastasia's POV

"AHHHHHHHHHH"

"Anastasia, wake up! You're dreaming!"

I woke up in a cold sweat, breathing heavily. The night before was quite vivid, and it felt so real it was like a dream, but it didn't feel so.

I looked around the room, finding nothing unusual, as usual. Still, I couldn't help but remember how it all began.

"It seems you're finally awake." A woman's voice broke my reverie. I turned to find Elizabeth leaning against the doorway with her arms crossed.

"You look awfully tired," she remarked. "I wonder what you have to be exhausted for. Is that the type of work you do? " She asked, stepping fully into the room. You nodded, and he raised an eyebrow.

"What happened?"

I sigh. "She looked like me in every way. She has red hair, but she really looks like me. At first, we five were exploring the island to find a way out, but when I was walking I felt Xian, Zuko, and Idan weren't following me, so I turned around and they were really not there. I saw people there, so I asked them if they were going in the forest or if they had seen Xian, but they didn't respond. I decided to go to the forest to look for them, and then she appeared. She grabbed my wrists, then she realized and gave me a strange smile. Another one is that I woke up and heard screams. I followed the noise and saw a woman. I asked her what happened and she said she just twisted her ankle and I decided to help her. She gave me a weak smile after passing out, so I took a hold of her and was surprised when she turned to look like me. She gave me a scary look, and that's why I screamed. Now I wish I'd told someone else that because I ca remember anything after that, but now I want to remember the dream and know more about this woman. " I finished explaining everything to her. It all made perfect sense to me.

Elizabeth's face fell and she sighed. His eyes flickered around the room again, as if trying to avoid eye contact. "So that's what you've been up to every day."

"What do you mean?" you asked.

"Every day, you've been in the forest looking for a way out." "She said softly, taking a step forward."

"That's what I've been doing everyday since yesterday?" I simply asked, waiting for him to continue.

"Well, I'll tell you one thing: it never ends well. "She muttered under his breath, turning away from you. My brows furrowed, and I stood still for a moment, processing what she'd told me.

"What did you say?" I called, causing her to turn back around. Her lips curled upwards slightly.

"Nothing," he replied, brushing by me.

I walked down the hall towards the kitchen, where Idan was seated at the table eating breakfast. Idan jumped when he noticed you standing near him.

"Oh hey, you alright? Did something happen last night? " He questioned me, pausing his eating.

I shook your head."Nothing happened. "Nothing weird anyway."

I sat on the chair across from Aang at the table and started eating. "Good morning!" I greeted Zuko as he came down the stairs to join you. He grunted back and joined the two of you at the table.

"Have any of you guys heard anything from the others?" Idan asked, shoveling some food into his mouth.

The four of us ate quietly while I tried to figure out how to broach the subject with me.

"Any luck with your search last night?" Zuko mumbled as he put on his mask to hide the scar on his cheek.

"I haven't found anything yet, but we're still looking." Idan sighed, placing his hand over his forehead.

"Maybe we could get some fresh fruit?" I suggested, hoping to distract Aang and Zuko from the conversation that's surely to come. Both boys glanced at each other, unsure of what to think.

"Sure. "Maybe someone can come too." Zuko conceded, turning his gaze back to me.

"I don't see why not. If nothing comes up, we'll stop and go home. "Idan added, getting up from his seat.

"Yeah, let's get going guys," I said, grabbing my bag and heading upstairs.

As soon as I entered my room, I threw my things on top of my desk, and then I saw a notebook on my bed. As soon as I opened it, however, it wasn't filled with drawings. Instead, I've got multiple notes stuck to the pages. There were random doodles, notes scribbled on scraps of paper, and a few torn pieces of sheet music scattered over the whole area. My eyes scanned over the page, trying to make sense of what was written, but to no avail.

"Something wrong, Tasia?" A voice startled me, and I quickly slammed the book shut. Looking up, I saw Zuko holding my door open, leaning against the frame.

"Nah, I'm good." I replied dismissively, tucking the notebook under my bed.

"How was your day?"

"Pretty boring."
