we see tom walking around the neighborhood to get more familiar with his new surroundings in his new home in america, but he stopped walking as he sees a car parking next door and sees a woman getting out with some bags, but as she was about to drop one bag, tom ran towards her and caught it as he said

tom: woah, be careful there.

he said to that woman, who is revealed to be jacob's mom, carol mcfoley

carol: thank you, are you new here?

tom: yeah, my friends and i moved in next to yours a couple days ago.

carol: well welcome to the neighborhood, what's your name?

tom: name's tom.

carol: my name is carol mcfoley, who are your friends that you mentioned?

tom: their names are edd, matt, and tord, they're also my roommates.

carol: ok, where were you from before you moved?

tom: england, or to be exact...isleworth.

carol: oh i remember that place, my husband and i went there to go to our honeymoon, it was a great place back then.

tom: really, is he at work by any chance?

he asked as carol lowered her head and began to explain that her husband died in a plane crash, though he saved as many lives as he could. after she finished, tom felt sympathy for her loss as he said

tom: oh, i'm so sorry for your loss.

carol: it's fine, my son jacob missed him the most, along with his sisters katie and marcy, he tried not to forget about john since the whole...wait do you know about the whole world merging incident?

tom; at first we didn't until an imp taxi driver told us on the way to our new house next to yours.

carol: well, that's good since you know.

tom: also, i think my friends and i should get to know about your family more, like, maybe join you for dinner tonight.

he said, making carol smile at tom's idea as she said

carol: that's a good idea, but then again, thanks for helping me.

tom: you're welcome. well see ya.

he said as he went back to his new home and carol went back inside with the bags she had

(eddgang's house, tom POV)

we see tom enter the house and sat on the couch. 30 minutes later, edd and the others arrived after getting some stuff as edd said

edd: hey tom, did you sit in the house all day?

he said as he placed his bag of stuff he bought and tom said

tom: no, i walked around for a bit and met our neighbor next door. her name's carol mcfoley, she's also a mom.

tord: that's good.

matt: yeah, i agree with tord.

tom: and she also invited us for dinner next door, we're meeting her family tonight.

he said, making edd, matt & tom shocked at what tom said as they look at him as matt said

matt: i'm sorry, what did you just say?

tord: she invited us for dinner?

edd: that's...something that no one has ever said to us before.

matt: yeah, we never been invited to anything before.

tom: well true, but this is different. we can go if you all want to, but we have to behave ourselves, ok?

he said, making everyone realize his point as matt said

matt: ok we can go, what do you say edd?

he asked as edd thought about it, it's true that they never been invited to dinner or at a party before back in england. but since they moved to america to start a new life, it is a start at something new as edd smiled and he said

edd: ok, we're going, but we have to behave ourselves like tom said.

tord: i can do that.

matt: same.

tom: me too.

edd: ok, let's get ready before...wait, what time did this carol tell you to meet at after she invited us?

tom; i think it's around 6 p.m.

edd: ok, we need to get ready before 6 p.m. starting now.

he said as edd and the gang start getting ready for tonight as the screen went dark
