Chapter 5

Jesse walked out from the backseat and said "hello, Please come with us so that we can treat your bruises?

Jesse's offer to help didn't go unnoticed by Xsmy and his personal chaffeur, Bovi.

Xsmyv looked up, and for a moment, she was mesmerized. Jesse was a striking figure, undoubtedly the most handsome man she had ever set her eyes on. His presence was both commanding and intriguing.

On the other hand, Jesse was not surprised by the intensity of her gaze. He had caught a glimpse of her during the day she had presented her proposal, and even then, he had been impressed by her composure, eloquence, and knowledge. Now, seeing her up close, he couldn't help but be curious about why she had been walking absentmindedly in the middle of the street.

The unexpected encounter was about to lead to a new chapter in both of their lives, one that neither of them could have predicted.

As Bovi helped Xsmyv up and picked up her phone, she informed Cecilia that she was fine and had assistance. Bovi then escorted her to the hospital that was conveniently nearby.

Meanwhile, Jesse placed a call to Felix, who hurriedly rushed to the scene, fearing that something had happened to his cousin. However, upon arrival, he was taken aback to find Jesse standing upright, relaxed, with his arms folded and legs crossed, showing no sign of injury or distress.

Felix was perplexed and asked, "Jesse, did you text a doctor who was supposed to be in a surgery room in about 15 minutes to meet with you?"

Jesse regarded his brother with a quizzical expression. He couldn't fathom how Felix had overlooked the lady with the bruises and assumed there was no issue.

"What happened?" Felix inquired.

Ignoring Felix's question, Jesse instructed, "Treat her." It was clear that he intended to ensure Xsmyv received the care she needed.

As Felix led Xsmyv to one of the rooms and applied ointment to her bruises, he continued to exchange glances between his brother and her. He was curious about the situation and wondered what had transpired.

Xsmyv, on the other hand, remained quiet. Her thoughts were still consumed by the ongoing family turmoil and her uncle's condition. She knew she needed to check on her uncle, but she also understood that returning to her family home might not be easy, given her aunt's hostility. She was so preoccupied that she didn't immediately register when Felix asked her for her name.

Jesse, though, observed the situation keenly, his interest piqued by the mysterious young woman who had suddenly crossed his path. He couldn't help but wonder about the circumstances that had brought her to this moment.

Xsmyv was brought back to the present when Felix shook her gently. She realized that her bruises had been cleaned and treated.
"Thank you sir. i will be going now"

Felix smiled as he watched her exit the room, and Jesse couldn't help but notice the smile that played on his brother's face seeking for gossip.

As Xsmyv walked away, Jesse's face displayed a mixture of curiosity and intrigue. Felix, always the inquisitive one, couldn't resist asking, "Jesse, who is she? For you to come down here yourself, there must be something."

Jesse's response was straightforward, "Felix, sometimes I wonder if you are a doctor or a gossip. It's almost 15 minutes. You have a surgery and a family honor to uphold."

With that, Jesse turned his attention back to his immediate responsibilities, leaving Felix to contemplate the enigmatic encounter with the young woman.

Xsmyv walked out from the treatment room downstairs. as she was taking a turn to go upstairs, she met her aunt and cousin. Her attempt to avoid her aunt and cousin seemed to be in vain, as she encountered them while taking a turn to go upstairs in the hospital. She muttered to herself, "So much for trying to avoid them."

Unfortunately, Shante noticed her and approached her with a confrontational tone. "Xsmyv, how dare you show up here again? Have you gone out to disgrace our family by picking a fight with people? I hope they won't come after us for compensation."

Shante's voice was loud, and her accusatory remarks attracted the attention of passerby. Jesse and Bovi, who were walking out of the hospital, overheard the commotion and turned their attention toward the scene.

Shante proceeded to narrate to anyone who cared to listen how problematic her sister was, insinuating that Xsmyv had caused problems and incurred injuries due to her behavior, which would lead to substantial compensation costs for their family. The situation was growing increasingly tense and public.
