"What was that?" Jungkook asked you as soon as you both exited the office.

"Later please" you insisted, still very much shocked by the new information

Jungkook gave an understating nod.

It was very difficult to focus on work but you somehow managed to do it with the help of Jungkook. Soon it was time for the lunch break.

"Let's talk in cafeteria." You suggested, arranging all the files.

"So... um... you see, I...

"Y/N" Jungkook emphasized

"Fine. I sneaked into Seokjin's house last night." You revealed

Although Jungkook knew this fact very well, he pretended to be surprised.

"What? Why?" He asked

"Yesterday, while we were talking to Seokjin, I realized something was off, so I decided to meet him last night. Trust me, breaking into his house wasn't my initial plan." You tried to convince him.

"But then someone else approached him before I could and it looked like Seokjin was scared so I followed him." You continued

"Even after knowing it could be dangerous?" Jungkook asked in a serious tone.

"I... I was worried for him." You mumbled

"Y/N, you shouldn't-

"But it was Namjoon" you cut him off. "That was when I heard them talk about Leader being the one behind all this." You continued

Neither you nor Jungkook knew what to say now, resulting in an awkward silence between you too.

You were about to say something when Jungkook raised his hand and held it open infront of you.

"What?" You asked

"Your phone" he said

Without questioning further, you unlocked your phone and handed it to him.

"What are you doing?" You asked, watching how he was concentrated on doing something.

"I've saved my phone number." He informed, handing the phone back to you. "Next time when you decide to do something stupid like this, contact me." He said.

Last night, Jungkook had asked Yoongi to hand him one of his phones he used to contact his informants, as he didn't have one.

"Why?" Yoongi had asked, confused by Jungkook's sudden request for having a phone, to which Jungkook had replied with "I just think I'll need one."

"Excuse me? Why should I?" You asked, offended by the way he called your move stupid, even though, deep down you knew he wasn't lying.

"Because I'm your partner." Jungkook pointed at himself. "We both decided to do this together, so you are supposed to inform me everything." He reasoned

"Look at you talking like you are the senior here." You scoffed

"Y/N, this is isn't about who is the senior. You could've gotten in danger?Namjoon could've caught you? I don't trust that man-

"He almost did." You whispered, hanging your head low, knowing Jungkook was right here. "But Black Knight saved me." You uttered, raising your head, sounding enthusiastic.

Jungkook was taken aback by your sudden outburst of excitement.

"Holy shit, Jungkook. You almost made me forget the most important part." You gasped upon realizing. "I met him, HIM. Do you understand how big it is?" You asked, your tone becoming louder and louder with each word

Jungkook almost wanted to giggle at your reaction.

"OH MY GOD!!! I met the man of my dreams, Jungkook." You banged your fist of the table.

Jungkook's eyes blew wide in shock after hearing that.

You were about to scream again when you noticed how some people were giving you awkward stares.

Clearing your throat, you turned to face Jungkook, who looked like he had seen a ghost. "I'm sorry for that." You laughed

"It's... okay." Jungkook uttered, taking a sip from his drink.

"Not gonna lie, he was kinda....... hot, you know?" You revealed, making Jungkook choke on his drink.

"Are you okay?" You gasped upon seeing Jungkook cough repeatedly.

"Yes, I.... just give me second." He uttered

You observed him calm down slowly with concerned eyes.

"He was what?" He asked in an order to confirm he didn't hear it wrong.

"Aaah you might think I'm out of my mind but I just.... i don't know how to explain it but there was something about his gaze that almost killed me." You said, fanning yourself.

For some reason, Jungkook wanted to record your words and hear it every single day in the morning. It was first time in his life, he heard someone call him hot. It was so amusing for him. He wondered how you'd react if he told you that he is Black Knight.

All this thoughts made his lips to curve in a smirk.

"Why are you smiling?" You asked

"Um.... it's nothing." He cleared his throat. "Tell me more about him." He then demanded

"Of course." You grinned. "So, you see, he saved me last night.....

All those words were blur to Jungkook as his gaze was fixated on your face which displayed utter happiness and excitement.

"...... yeah, that's it." You clapped your hands, making Jungkook draw himself out of his thoughts.

"But I thought you had a crush on Taehyung." Jungkook then teased.

"Aaah I still do, it's just..... HOLD ON."

"What happened?" He asked

"Taehyung. We have to tell him about this new information we got." You widened your eyes upon realizing.

"Shall we?" He wanted to confirmed

"Of course. He deserves to know." You said, picking up your phone to call him but Jungkook was quick to stop you by grabbing your wrist, thus halting your action.

You looked up at him with a confused face.

"Namjoon told you to keep his relationship with his brother a secret." He reminded you. "If you talk to Taehyung, you eventually will have to reveal the secret."

Oh

"You are right." You uttered, placing the phone back on the table.

How did you fail to realize this fact?
You wanted to slap yourself for almost revealing Namjoon's secret.

In that moment, another realization hit you like a truck.

"That means we won't be able to tell this to anyone." You gasped

You were so busy in digesting all this information that you didn't realize the fact that in order to keep Namjoon's secret safe with you, you have to stay silent.

"Not only that, we can't say this to anyone as it will bring Namjoon's life in danger." Jungkook sighed.

"Right. They threatened to kill him, if the secret comes out." You noted

All of this was still very much shocking to you. You had  no idea how things turned like this but you knew one thing, you couldn't take risk here as it was life and death you were talking about.

"We have to find a way though." You said. "We can't just stay silent and blame the wrong person for the murder. We can't keep Taehyung in dark after knowing everything. We promised to bring justice to his father."

"I know but we have to take every step with great care." Jungkook exhaled

"Do you have a plan?" You wanted to know

"No, not yet." Jungkook shook his head

"I can't think of any way too." You sighed. "Let's just take some time to think." You then suggested

Jungkook just hummed at that.

Yoongi was sleeping peacefully, when he heard some sounds coming from the living room. Groaning in frustration, he got up and ruffled his hair.

"Why are you still up?" Yoongi asked with his eyes still half closed

Jungkook didn't seem to notice his presence as his gaze was fixated on the TV screen.

"Several people have gathered here in front of the police station for a strike." Jimin's voice was heard, making Yoongi turn his head to take a look at the news

"What do you have to say?" Jimin asked one of the person from the crowd.

"We are here to demand for justice. We want to know why the cops are still silent. Why haven't they caught Black Knight yet? How can they let a criminal like him wonder around in our city?" The man said, sounding furious.

"I can't walk around freely in this city knowing that a killer like him is still alive." A lady came to the mic even though Jimin didn't ask her.

"As you can see, fans of the famous actor Kim Taehyung are very furious after the actor revealed that Black Knight was the one who killed his father. They are demanding-

Suddenly the TV was shut off

"Stop that." Yoongi sighed, making Jungkook turn his head to look at him.

"Looks like I woke you up." Jungkook smiled but something like pain was visible in his eyes.

"Do you want me burn this TV to ashes?" Yoongi then asked

"As if that will stop anything" Jungkook scoffed

"Wanna talk?" Yoongi wanted to know

Jungkook gave a weak nod. Yoongi quickly approached the other male and took a seat beside him.

"Just say what you have in your head." Yoongi said

"I don't wanna be like this, Yoongi."

"Like what?"

"Like I'm becoming weak. Don't I look like a weakling to you?" Jungkook asked

"Not at all. You are not weak, Jungkook. You are the strongest person I know and there's no doubt in that. You have faced every single problem of your life so strongly. I have seen you grow stronger with my very own eyes." Yoongi said

"I've never had this much people hate on me. Even though, I was used to this world calling me a criminal, it hurts to listen to them call me a murderer. " Jungkook revealed.

"Don't let their words affect you, Jungkook. You know you haven't killed anyone, you know you are innocent right? Then just ignore them for your own good." Yoongi suggested

"I wanna prove myself innocent."

"I know and I know you'll be able to do it soon. Just wait a little, hm?"

"Dad... do you think he's proud of me?" Jungkook asked

"Of course, Jungkook. I know Appa is supporting you from wherever he is. Now cheer up." Yoongi smiled

It was hurting Yoongi to see Jungkook doubt himself. He could still remember that little kid who had promised to be a good man to his father, a kid who had stood strong in the toughest situations.

"I'll be the man you wanted to make me, Dad. I'll always take care of Yoongi. I won't disappoint you." Jungkook had promised his Dad.

Jungkook just hummed and rested his head on Yoongi's lap, trying to fall asleep.

"Shouldn't have came here." Yoongi teased, watching Jungkook sleep like a baby. "Who can say someone like you is Black Knight?"

"Shut up." Jungkook chuckled, making Yoongi smile.

"Jungkook?"

"Hm?"

"Take a break from everything for a while. It'll be good for you." Yoongi said

"I-

"Don't say no." Yoongi interrupted, already knowing what Jungkook was about to say. "It'll be safe for you to stay away from public's eye, just for a few days. You don't have any plan to prove your innocence anyways. Maybe staying at home will make you come up with something." Yoongi tried his best to convince Jungkook.

"Okay" was the last thing Jungkook said before fully falling asleep.

Ever since you entered the building of your workplace, you didn't see Jungkook, making you wonder where he was. Just then you remembered you had his phone number now so you quickly fetched your phone out of your pocket and called him but unfortunately he didn't pick up.

"Hello Y/N" Hosoek approached you.

"Hello" you greeted back

"Are you looking for someone?" He asked after seeing you wonder your gaze here and there in hopes of spotting someone.

"Jungkook" you answered

"I haven't seen him anywhere." Hosoek informed.

"Did he inform you about taking a leave?" You asked to which Hosoek shook his head.

"So I finally have my friend to myself?" Jimin's voice was heard from a distance, making you turn your head in the direction of the voice.

"What do you mean?" You chuckled

"You haven't talked to me in a while." Jimin pouted

"I'm sorry. I'm just busy and a little stressed." You reasoned

Hosoek greeted you a goodbye and took his leave

"I'm gonna blame this on that brat." Jimin grinned, clearly talking about Jungkook

"He isn't a brat" you chuckled. "Actually he's very helpful."

"I can't see you talk about any other guy like this." Jimin started to act dramatic. "Shouldn't have made him your partner."

"You are so dramatic, Jimin." You snickered

"Anyways, are you busy right now?" He asked

"Nope" You shook your head

"Let's chat a little then." He suggested and who were you deny? So you uttered a small "okay" and followed him.

After talking to Jimin for a while you were heading towards your desk. It felt good to talk to him. He always knew how you relieve your stress and make you feel at ease.

You didn't tell him much about your current problems though as it was necessary to keep it a secret until you and Jungkook came up with something.

Suddenly your phone rang, making you think it's Jungkook who called back.

Taehyung♡

The device displayed the contact name. You quickly cleared your throat and took some deep breathes before answering the call.

"Hello" you greeted, trying to sound as sweet as possible.

"Hello Y/N. How have you been?" Taehyung's deep voice was heard from the other side.

"Am I hearing that right? Is THE KIM TAEHYUNG wondering about how I'm doing these days?" You gasped dramatically

Taehyung chuckled at that. "Yes, he is, as he should." He replied

"Don't do that." You almost whined

"Do what?" He chuckled yet again

"Don't make me feel special or I'll start flying." You joked at which he laughed

"Are you free right now?" He then asked

"Yes, I am. Why do you ask?"

"I was wondering if we could meet." He revealed

You almost let out a shriek after hearing that.

"To talk about how you are doing with my father's case, you know?" He elaborated

Oh, right

"Of course. Where do you want to meet?" You then asked

"I'll text you the address" he said

"Sure. I'll be there in 30" you replied

"Okay, see you then, bye"

"Bye"

With that he ended the call and you finally allowed yourself to let out a tiny scream, excited to meet him alone even though it was about work.

Just then your phone buzzed, indicating Taehyung had texted you the address.

You were about to leave the building when you received another call.

Jungkook

You answered the call right way

"Hey"

"Hey, Jungkook. Why aren't you here today?" You quickly got to the point

"Um... actually I'm sick." He answered, coughing a little at the end.

"Oh. Then I think it's good you took a leave."

"Hmm. I wanted to inform you that I won't come to work this whole week. I'll probably see you next week." He said

Your face fell after hearing that.

"Are you okay? Is the disease that bad?" You asked, worrying for him.

"Not really. It's just I'm feeling a little weak and work these days is really stressful." He said

"Hmm. I understand. Please take care of yourself." You requested, feeling bad for him.

All of this work was new to him and he already was forced to deal such situations. You were just hoping he wasn't too stressed because of this.

"Will do. How's work goi-

Just then you realized Taehyung had asked you to meet him and you just had 30 minutes to get ready.

"Jungkook, I'm in a hurry right now. Got a date. I'll talk to you later. Rest well."

With that you ended the call not even realizing you had just called your meeting with Taehyng a date.

You really needed to stop voicing your delusional thoughts.

"A what now? Hello? Y/N?"
