Chapter 35

Finally parting from the clouds, the bright afternoon sun shined its rays onto the hidden land of fairies, Alvaria Kingdom. No matter where one went there was lush forestry for miles and miles.

Within the grand royal palace of Alvaria Kingdom lived the First Queen of Fairies.

{'This is an intriguing find, indeed.'} She thought, an alluring smile blossoming on her face. She hadn't expected this when she had ordered her aide to do a background-check on an old friend's daughter. Then she recalled performing that ritual on the winner of her wine brewing contest.

Closing the file, her fingers leisurely and rhythmically tapped against the glossy dark brown desk of her study. It had been made from a magical tree that produced nearly indestructible wood. {"Everything adding up couldn't have been just coincidences. All of this was planned.'} A certain high being instantly came to her mind as the perpetrator. Then her smile grew in magnitude. {"Bring wine from the collections that Egeria brewed."}

The aide who was standing against the wall of the royal study responded before he left. {"As you wish, your Majesty."}

Her line of perception travelled out of the window, sweetly murmuring. {"Ellen Morley and Ashnah Morley, hmm?"}

Her amethyst eyes widened, dropping the test tube. The rate of her heartbeat abruptly picked up, pounding against her chest, her body tingling. Then she suddenly returned to normal. It was as if nothing had ever happened.

Hearing the shattering sound of glass, Cannenta asked. "Are you alright, Doll-face?" She had just returned from having lunch with her mother and younger sister's family.

"Y-yes." The brunette glanced down to the mess she had made. "Just a small mishap." She inwardly sighed in relief knowing that it was not any harmful substance within the test tube she had been holding but purified water. Then Ellen slowly placed her hand on her chest, over her heart that was now beating at the pace it should. 'But what exactly..... was that feeling? And did .... someone called Ash's and I names?'

Meanwhile at the same time, in a certain carriage on the eastern outskirts of Rafferty City, a tiny sneeze was heard.

Concern instantly filled Anzor's eyes. "Are you catching a cold?" He knew should have waited a few more days or probably weeks before allowing Ashnah to leave the Alice Estate. This was just so the doctors could watch Ashnah's health for a little more to be on the safe side.

Ashnah smiled and said, trying to ease her father's worry. "I rarely catch colds, daddy. Plus, I have a feeling I sneezed, because someone was talking about me." Both statements what she had stated were true, especially the last. For some reason she had felt like someone had called a name.

Taking his daughter's hand, he moved to feel her pulse and observed for any abnormalities. He sighed in relief finding nothing out of the ordinary. Anzor placed a hand on her head. "I checked just to make sure. You're in top health."

"Right?" Ashnah agreed with a cute head tilt. "But daddy, how is papa Al like?" She asked, recalling of the previous times she had inquired about him.

Ellen nervously laughed. "Y-your Papa Al.... he's....he's.... how about I invite someone to make you your favourite treat, cotton candy?!!!"

-

Panic had filled her eyes. "My apologies Lady Ashnah, but I have some errands to run for your father." And with that, her nanny Krynn had sprinted away.

-

"You're asking about him?!!! Are you trying to get me killed?!!!" Benjamin asked.

-

Hot tears filled Maria's eyes. "I will tell you about anything but him?!" She cried. "Sorry! Sorry!! I can't help you! Really sorry!!!

"....Let's just say that Papa Al is very unique." Answered the Archduke.

Ashnah's amethyst eyes narrowed. '...Suspicious.' Not to mention Maria who always provided her with information, her own father didn't desire to release anything on this 'Papa Al'. She had wanted to ask Cannenta but Cannenta had received an invitation from Countess Payne.

Seeing his daughter's eyes narrow like so, Anzor quickly added. "...But it's not a bad unique."

Before Ashnah could say anything, something caught her attention. Outside the carriage, they were passing the white lily field she had seen in her dream.

Realizing that he could use this as a way to change the topic, the silver head said. "That lily field was your grandmother's favorite place. If one wanted to run into her, they would always wait in this lily field to do so. Mother would always visit it once per night."

'...Her favourite place.' The seven year old thought.

"Do you want to check it out?" He asked that it piqued her interest.

Examining the flower field as she walked through it, Ashnah picked a lily. Even without asking Maria, she was certain that the dream she had last night was a memory of her grandmother's.

Slowly opening her hand, she released the lily into the gentle wind that played with her clothing and dark brown hair. The soared along with the northern current of the wind.

Then she heard a familiar buzz, that she would never forget.

Ashnah's face quickly paled as she felt adrenaline pulsed through her veins. She ran.

Even while she was trying to get away from the bee, it was persistently following her.

Because it had rained last night in this area, there were a few small muddy puddle within the large white field. Ashnah ended up slipping down onto the ground from running into one of them, scraping both of her knees.

The bee was centimeters in front of her face. She found it difficult to even speak and her breathing became harder. The brunette felt tears filling her eyes as her body trembled. 'No!!!'

Then a hidden magic within the field activated.

"Ashnah!" Anzor exclaimed. Enhancing his pace with lightning magic he headed for her.

The flower field glowed, gravity became stronger and before Anzor could reach her, Ashnah vanished within a turquoise light.
