Twenty-Seven

I could tell this was going to be a 'fun' day when I had trouble choosing what car to go in. Jason absolutely refused to go in the car with Dick and they wasn't enough space for all three of us on Jason's bike-not that Jason would even let him on the bike. Looking between Dick and Jason, I couldn't decide.

" Jason, can we please just ride in Dick's car." I pleaded. Because if I had to choose I would most definitely ride with Jason just because he has a bike. But I didn't want to hurt Dick's feelings.

Jason narrowed his eyes at me, then groaned. Looking up to the sky, like a little kid. " Fine."

" Thank you." I was just slightly annoyed. They didn't seem this agitated with each other before. Did something happen between them?

I sat in the seat behind Dick, letting Jason take the seat behind the passenger. Poor Dick was up there by himself. " You left me alone?"

" Well, it's either Jason can sit behind you or he sits beside you." I shrugged and waited for the car to start.

" Fair point." Dick looked at us expectingly.

" Are you gonna go or are you use just sit there?" Jason rolled his eyes.

" I'm waiting." Dick said, very impatiently.

" So are we." I give him a pointed look.

" Seat belts." He finally explained. Both Jason and I groaned. Then grudgingly pulled the seat belts across and snapped them in, " Thank you."

Dick looked forward and pulled out of the circle drive. After a small drive we made it the bowling ally. It looked a little rough but over looked pretty safe for a bowling alley in Gotham. The outside was painted bricks with a metal covering to protect the door. On the inside it was retro themed. Triangles with different shades of blue were on the wall. There was an arcade tucked into the corner on the right back corner and with the shoe rack and food stands on the left.

" Alright, welcome to Gotham's Alley." There was a high schooler sitting tiredly at the desk. She was previously working on her math homework, which was open on the desk in front of her, " What are your shoe sizes."

After we gave her our sizes and got the right shoes we went to lane seven. Dick, being the oldest and most responsible, put our names in the board. Dick went first, then Jason, then me. " Yas!"

" You're cheating." Jason playfully glared. The boys both groaned at my fifth spare.

" I am not!" I defend while laughing.

" Nah, she's just better then you." Dick joked and got up to finish his turn.

" At least I can fight." Jason backed up.

" That has nothing to do-" Dick cut himself off, " What?"

I laughed nervously, trying to clear the air. What the actual hell went on between them. When I first met Jason they just seemed to have a normal sibling rivalry. Got along most of the time with the exception of a few fights. Not they are like toddlers fighting over the same toy, " Come on, let's just finish the game and get something to eat."

Jason glared at Dick while Dick rolled his eyes. This childish banter was starting to get annoying and almost gave me a head on the way here. I definitely had one now, Jason walked up to Dick," No, man, what were you going to say?"

" How does fighting have anything to do with bowling?" Dick pointed out.

" Exactly, they don't go together, so let's stop." I try to step in between but get stopped by Jason.

" No, this is between us. And bowling has everything to do with bowling." Jason continues on with Dick.

I sigh and block them out, sitting back on one of the many chairs around our lane. Taking in everyone else in the bowling alley, they seemed to be having fun. Good for them.

There was a couple having a date two lanes down and a birthday party at one of the tables near the food stands. My stomach grumbled at the sight of the pizza on the table. I looked at the boys to see them mid fight and didn't look like stopping anytime soon. Sighing, I got up and made sure I had my wallet. Did I really want to spend money right now? Even for food.

But my head was getting worse and I at least needed a bottle of water. After telling another high school my order, I got my hamburger and a water. I looked back at the two oldest Wayne's and decided not to go back yet. I didn't have to step in quite yet since they weren't punching each other and I didn't want to get close too to them with the arguments.

So I sat as small table by myself, watching the fight. Ready to step in, if need be. As I sipped my water my headache slowly went away. I saw Jason push Dick and I got ready to step in, but sat back down as I say Dick take a step back in a defensive manor. At least he has public decency.

" Right, Percy?" Dick looked to the seat where I had sat before, " Percy?"

Both he and Jason started to look around. I almost started laughing since they were turning in circles trying to see where I was. And it wasn't like I was hiding from them or even tucked away. I was basically right in front of the them. " For being the sons of the worlds greatest detectives, they are pretty bad."

I took another gulp of my water, ready for another head ache. Finishing off my hamburger I walked to them. " Is it my turn?"

" Where the hell were you?" Jason asked. His brow furrowed.

" I thought you had been kidnapped!" Dick pulled me into a hug while Jason agreed.

" I can take care of myself," I said, " Plus, I was just right there."

" Stop lying." Jason rolled his eyes.

" I'm being serious." I furrowed my eyebrows.

" Wow, great detective skills, Todd." Dick taunted. I stared at him in shock, but Jason beat me to it. I sat down, not wanting to get in the middle of this and started to place my normal shoes on.

" Me? You didn't see her either." Jason was about to punch him. I could see it in the way he clenched his fist and inched his feet into a fighting stance.

" How much was bowling?" I asked Dick, stepping between the two males.

" Like twenty bucks, why?"

I dug through my wallet and pulled out a ten, " Here's my half, plus some for gas."

I started walking to the shoe stand with my bowling shoes. Handing the shoes over, I flashes a smile and walked out. The boys tried to follow me but had to switch shoes. Despite the constant travel and the conversations around me, it was quiet. My ears could relax without the constant bickering.

It became very clear to me, that I had no idea where I was going. I didn't pay attention on the way here and had only lived here for two months. " Great."

I tried to look at the street names but that didn't help at all. Soon, two foot steps came running after me. " Percy!"

" Perc! Wait!"

Jason and Dick ran after me, not even out of breathe. I pinched my eyes close, I really didn't want to deal with them. Jason turned me around, gripping my shoulders, " Why the hell did you walk out like that. It's not safe here in Gotham."

" I needed fresh air." I mean it wasn't a complete lie.

" You could have told us." Dick berates.

" Ah, yes." I pull away from Jason's grip, " And I could have listened to you argue like children. You guys can never just talk like normal people. Something is up with you two and I don't like it. I really don't like hanging out with you two if you keep yelling at each other. It's not fun and it gives me a headache." I rub my head. It almost made me dizzy.

" I'm sorry, Perc." Jason looked sad.

" I had no idea." Dick pulls me into a hug. I was slightly hesitant to hug him back but I sighed and gave in.

" It's fine." I step away and start walking again.

" Wait, at least let me give you a ride." Dick felt very bad, it was written all over his face.

" Fine." I sighed but followed them back to the bowling alley parking lot. Jason was unusually quiet, but at this moment I couldn't do much more than just put a hand on his forearm. He looked back at me, with glossy eyes. I furrowed my eyebrows then clutches his arm.

It was quite the rest of the walk and car ride.

Sorry the middle is part is bad. Most because I'm tired and I wrote like two sentences then came back an hour later. And I would have updated last night but I walked five fours in Dallas yesterday and kinda crashed when I got to the hotel room.  Sorry.

Also, any requests? I think I'm gonna have Percy be like the den mom to a couple over heroes.
