Ashton's Pov

Life is a mystery, sometimes you just got to work with it. Sitting in my office I couldn't help but remember my beautiful mate. I sigh feeling my heart ache remembering those memories.

'Alpha King' Gregory my beta said, Gregory is my best friend from childhood.

'What is it Beta Gregory' I asked turning around in my seat. 'There has been reports of multiple rogue sightings at the west border' he said.

I took off running towards the west border when I spot my warriors and beta staring in front of them in shock and confusion. I couldn't help but to look in shock and confusion myself.

In front of me stood a child no less than 2-3 years old covered in dirt with dried blood on her skin looking at us in fear. 'Help her' said a voice in the back of my head.

Gregory took a step forward to help the child when she stepped back in fear causing me to growl at Gregory. "Leave her" I commanded. I took some steps forward to which she took some steps back.

"Hey little one I'm not going to hurt you" I said in a soft voice, shocking myself and everyone around me. "My name is Ashton and I just want to help you can you walk towards me slowly?" I asked. She took some steps towards me when she suddenly ran into my legs hugging them tightly and shaking.

I picked her up and ran towards the pack hospital.
'Dr.Stone' I mind linked the pack doctor who is a good friend of mine. 'Yes Alpha' he responded, 'I am bringing a small rogue pup for you to check up on' I said. 'I'll start preparing for your arrival Alpha' he responded as I cut the link.

I reached the pack hospital under 15 minutes and was running towards the pack hospital with the child in my hands. I reached the room and was about to hand her to doctor when she held on to me tightly and started whimpering. "It seems she doesn't want you to let her go alpha, so just hold her while I do the check up" Dr.Stone said. "Okay, but just make sure not to hurt her" I said.

He began checking up on her while I was holding her in my arms. "Alpha" Dr. Stone said. "Yes Stone" I responded. "She has 2 broken rib bones and a fractured arm. I am going to prescribe her some antibiotics to help with the pain" he said.

I nodded my head not wanting to answer him because of the anger I'm feeling. I then looked down at the small child in my arms. "Hey little one can you tell me your name and how you got here?" I asked her softly not wanting to scare her. "Auwowa, I not kwnow how I gets here" she responded back softly to me. " Aurora that's a pretty name for a pretty girl" I said.

"Whats ous 'ame mwister?" she asked me in a tiny voice.
