Her eyes glided through the sea of words in front of her, after reaching the end her hand would turn the page over eager to know what happens next, a little thing that (Y/N) loves the most especially since she was an author. She can write you anything, a poem, a song, a story with her skillful writing, in game she is merely a supporter but her second role is a kiter. She isn't picked much in games and only volunteer in playing duo matches, having a handful of free time she spends most of it in the library reading whatever chases her eye the most, one book isn't enough for her to read a single day a pile of novels would sit next to her as she comfortably read by the couch.

Currently, the library is one of the few places hunters and survivors can interact with one another if something special is coming like a new season or a festival of some sort, all residents in the manor get to enjoy what ever the event is which pleases her. "Well that's an awful lot of books there you have," without turning her head she knew who it was, covering her mouth using the book to hide her smile and blush she recollected herself letting out a soft sigh "Morning Joseph."

With a grin, the photographer then sat next to the writer looking through the pile of books she gathered "It's unbelievable that you can finish all these in one sitting," she chuckled at his comment "It should be a talent then," (Y/N) joked with a giggle slightly hiding her face with the book "If it is, you'll take that gold medal home a million times," he added finally settling with a book to read.

He heard her soft giggles as she buried her head more on the book she held, noticing the familiar cover art of the novel in her hands he sighed "That's really your favourite," he pointed out while leaning against the couch admiring the maiden in front of him. "It is! The way the author wrote the characters and the plot is so fascinating," she stated closing the book "I wonder if I could write something like this..." with slight dissatisfaction in her voice she muttered (mainly telling it to herself).

He was taken a back from what she whispered, he had read a few of her works and was always blown away on how well-written it was to think such bright talent she had she never saw it. "You already can, mon chère. The poems you write are truly amazing," he enthusiastically admitted giving the author a slight blush painted on her cheeks "Besides..if they were not good writings, why do you have readers?" He added with a wink, she hid her face with the novel she still is holding in attempts to hide her huge blush around her face.

His presence itself made her flustered, now here he is complementing her works made her feel jubilant, her face was truly red by now and she couldn't find a way to secretly hide her face other than burying her face onto the book. "You told me that yourself," Joseph continued slowly lowering the book, revealing her redden face to him "If the author wrote it bad, no one would read it. Yet, here you are with so many readers," he explained smiling. At this moment (Y/N) had calmed down, her yet-to-be red face now settled with still slight pink on her cheeks. "I did told you that..." averting her eyes anywhere from Joseph, he is way to close from her face the thought of it makes her face heat up again.

In his eyes (Y/N) is like his princess, his entire world so seeing her doubt her own talent made his heart shatter, he wanted to show her that she is more than enough. Pulling her closer to his embrace he wrapped his arms around her, his face on her shoulder "Joseph..?" His grip around her tighten, he had always loved her though he couldn't confess to her; he wanted to make her smile in her darkest days, he wanted to show her his vulnerable side of his, she was there when he needed her and vise versa. The thought of confessing is nerve-wracking for him but what pains him more is the fact his a hunter, their roles in this manor is different from each other, he is (sort of) dead in someway already is this really okay?

Tears started to stream down his aqua-colored eyes, he finds it so unfair! He wished he met (Y/N) sooner not in this filthy manor, he wanted to show his feelings, he wanted to shout it to the entire world he loved her, he wanted to tell her he loves her so deeply, not being able to hurts him much more than being stabbed on the chest. "Joseph," her voice cracked a bit due to worry as she felt the tears stained onto her outfit dropping the novel she held in the process, she called out again this time shaking him a bit expecting an answer only to no avail sighing she just started to pat his back gently with a soft hum to comfort him in someway.

Their moment was cut off when they both heard the library door open, someone came to inform Joseph that his match was about to start before heading back out, (Y/N) wiped his left-over cheeks which made both their hearts flutter "I know you'll be able to do it! Goodluck," she cheered standing up too, she didn't wanted to ask him his reason with crying in fear it might trigger him. "Aren't you going to read?" Joseph asked with a puzzled face as both of them existed the library "I'm going to watch your match 'cause I know you'll succeed!" She gave him a genuine smile, he just chuckled as a response as they both head towards the lobby.

Once the moon rolled by, Joseph found himself at the hunter side of the manor as usual, around this time (Y/N) either had probably slept or (most likely) brought the novels, she is interested in, in her room to continue reading. Before he could open the door of his room a voice of a lady called out "What are you going to do now, Joseph?" Violetta worridly asked fidgeting her fingers, she knows about Joseph's feelings towards (Y/N) but haven't told anyone about it and only kept it towards herself, Joseph just sighed taking note of that she knew even he doesn't know what he'd do now. A hunter loving a survivor so dearly is unheard of besides does (Y/N) see Joseph the same way he sees her? Love is such a complex thing, so easy to think about but when you are experiencing it, it becomes a roller coaster of feelings.

"It wouldn't hurt to try to confess right, Mr. Joseph?" The soul weaver insisted to the photographer still unsure with what she had just stated "Yet again...it's easier said than done," she added with a sigh. "I'll think about it Violetta," with that he waved her goodnight as she head towards her own room with him entering his, no matter how hard he tries to fall into slumber his mind would just jolt him back awake. Waking up every minute or so made him more irritated to go back to bed, grunting he made his way towards the library. A place he thinks would be perfect for him to collect his thoughts, some survivors and hunters would be at the garden but he needed to be in a place where tranquility lingers.

The sound of the door closing echoed through-out the library, going through each of the bookshelves he stumbled upon his beloved sleeping peacefully on the couch with a book on her chest. (Y/N) also couldn't sleep comfortably in her room, her urge to continue reading more and more books grew the more she tried to shove it away which lead her to the library but after sometime of reading she clearly slept while doing so. What made Joseph chuckle was she even brought her blanket, makes sense since during night time it's cold yet again she could had just wrapped a shawl around her shoulders to keep her from shivering. He caressed her cheek before organizing all of the novels scattered around he adored that sometimes, (Y/N) could act like a child from time to time.

When he was fixing her blanket, she tugged his sleeve "I can't properly sleep alone.." she informed with a yawn "Alone?" He repeated baffled "I thought you've been having a nice sleep," Joseph admitted taking a seat next to her while she wiped the tear away her eye from the yawn "No..I would sleep but then wake up not long after," she explained feeling more drowzy. Feeling her eyelids get more heavy each second she also felt a hand on her head making her head rest onto Joseph's shoulder, he started to pat her head gently "I won't leave you (Y/N)," he stated humming a small song before she completely dozed off she managed to mutter out "I love you, Joseph." Hearing that his face heated up, looking at (Y/N) she already started snoring already deep into dreamland. He just sighed and gave her a smile, kissing her forehead he also confessed "I love you too, (Y/N)." Resting his head on top of her's they both slept peacefully with a smile.

The morning sun illuminated the world, Fioana sprinted towards the library in attempts to find (Y/N), this will be one of her few matches with (Y/N) today, she was nevertheless ecstatic, she get to play in a match with the author but a half of her is worried since she isn't in her room. Opening the door she saw two figures on the couch, she giggled at the sight of the author and the photographer cuddling each other as they both slept "Fiona!" Emily yelled with the priestess shuushing the doctor "What? Where's (Y/N) she has a match-" before she could explain Fiona cut her off "Can you fill in for (Y/N)?" Still with a puzzled look Emily nodded, Fiona started shoving Emily away from the library's door "Huh-Fiona why?"

She just smiled to Emily looking back still seeing the two in deep slumber "I'll explain later, hurry now!" Closing the door behind (Y/N) snuggled closer to Joseph with a small smile on her face, Joseph was awake the entire time (actually), seeing her move closer he placed another kiss on forehead "You heard her you have a match," (Y/N) pouted at him "Few more minutes," she insisted hugging his arm "I'm glad you heard what I said before I slept," (Y/N) whispered to herself with a smile.

A/N: people do sleep while reading a book, I am one of them. I slept on the couch while reading School for Good and Evil and Red Queen in the middle of the night multiple times...
