Ever since that day she said yes and tackled me to the ground with excitement I knew she was the one, after a year we moved in which each other which took me awhile to ask before she caught my drift, even when I'm with her I still get nervous, she's beautiful and I can't help it..

As we walked into the school together I saw some students look at us, well the new ones, I always liked New students it gives me time to stuff their minds "Hey Mr Diaz, long time no see" as I stop holding on star's hand I noticed it was Jane, I didn't recognize her because she looked liked her mom but with red hair

"Hey, wow you look like your mom, where is she by the way?" If I knew any better I knew she was going to be "The New principal, guess skeeves couldn't take it anymore" Janna said as she had a evil smirk "So does that mean your daughter is the assistant?" "Oh no, she's the New music teacher, the assistant is a girl you used to have a major crush on, Jackie would you come in?"

As I turn I saw Jackie with longer wavy hair and dressed in a tight black pencil skirt and a teal blouse "Oh hey Marco, who's this?" I was speechless and confused I thought she left for another school? "I'm Star Butterfly, the art teacher and his girlfriend of 3 years, nice meeting you" "Same..well I'm gonna roam the halls, later guys" she left only hearing the clicks of her heels

"Marco?" Star asked shaking me "Are you alright?" Janna took the opportunity and plastered a smug look on her face "I forgot, you never got to meet Marcos crush, he liked her when we were teens and when she used to be the music teacher, he never had guts to ask her out because he'll panic so bad he'll end up being a giant fool, isn't that right Marco?" I stayed silent and moved out of her office

"I think you went to far..Marco wait" I kept my head down and I felt warm hands wrapped around my waist "Hey, what's wrong? Did you used to like her? If you did then I'm okay with it, for the record Janna married my ex Tom, their daughter is just like them so don't let them or anyone push you around okay?" I smiled and looked at my cute girlfriends I kissed her head and we went onto class..

As lunch time rolled around Jane came in with a bag from Taco Bell "Wanna join? I see your girlfriend has a class now" I smirked "Yeah, now she does tell me how's the music teacher business?" Jane let out a shirt laugh before looking at me "It's pretty tough keeping freshman in check, I'm sorry for putting so much pain in your life when I was their age" I chuckled "It's okay, when you were a senior you got better" as we continue I heard a knock and Jane went running into a man's arm

"Dad, what are you doing here mom said your not allowed in her workplace" he chuckles "Well it's your first day so I wanted to know" as I look at him I noticed Star slowly moving from the door, I looked back at the man "Are you Tom?" He glares at me and walks closer "Yes, how do you know that?" "Well my girlfriend told me you used to date" he raised an eyebrow

"Who?" "Star butterfly?" He smirked and nods "Oh, her yes we used to until she broke up with me because of my horrible temper long ago, but it's in the past, how long have you two been together?" "About 3 years" "Wow, that's pretty long, have you thought of proposing?" I tried but each time I choke on the words like before "Dad, he's not good at asking, it's quite painful actually" I groan

"It's just I have a difficult time asking girls important questions especially if I like them a lot" the two started laughing and now I know why Star said Jane is the mixture of the two "Hey man, if it makes you better take her to a restaurant and put a ring on a bread stick, worked with my proposal" I make a face "No offense man, but I don't want to copy your proposal, I want something to prove that I love her enough so she can say yes"

he looked at me and Jane and shrugged his shoulders "I have no ideas, I gotta get to work if you want help here's my cell number but don't call me every 5 seconds or I will literally come here and crush you into dust, by princess see you later" as Tom left I heard my door close and I see my girlfriend looking scared almost "What was Tom doing here?" "He was seeing me Ms Butterfly, I never knew you two used to date?"

"Yeah long time ago, what did he say to you?" I can't let her know about the marriage proposal "He talked about you guys and asked how long we've been together, I'm curious about how long you two dated?" "We dated a year and a half, then we broke up" I nodded "Okay, good to know.." as the bell rang Jane left leaving me with Star sitting on my desk looking down "You okay?" "Do you love me?"

I jumped a bit when she said that, of I did "Yes, every moment of my life, why?" She sighs and leans closer "Would we ever get married?" I nodded "Eventually, and have kids only if you want any" she giggles and kisses me before students enter the class "Okay, I'm heading out for lunch want a cookie?" "Yes please, chocolate chip" she nods and leaves and I see familiar faces and a couple new ones "Welcome to English 3, I'm Mr. Diaz and I'll be teaching all semester"

As the weekend hits, star is out at her yoga class and it gives me time to go buy her a ring, as I get to the jewelry store I found the perfect ring, the band is gold with white diamonds in a shape of a heart, as I purchased it I smiled, this was a huge step for us and for me because I'm going to spend my life with the girl I truly love, the girl that will eventually have my kids..

As I made it home before Star did I hid the ring in my closet that she never entered and thought on how to do this? As I looked out my window I noticed the new park that they opened, a light bulb went off and I laughed as I relaxed I heard the door open "Marco, I'm home!" As I greeted her with a kiss she gave me an odd look "You okay there Diaz?" I nodded "Never better, we should go out to eat" star smiled "Are we eating at a diner or a restaurant?" "Restaurant, so dress nicely.." she giggles and heads to the shower, I'm not proposing now, I'm going for tomorrow if my confidence doesn't fail me

As we reach the restaurant we sat a table and she took in the scenery, she was in awe loving every minute of it "So what's the occasion?" "Starting the school year without any pain, and to our 3 year anniversary, love you babe" she smiled a bit but it fades when she drinks her wine "Love you too" the night went silent and when we walked home, well I had to carry Star her heel broke and I carried her bridal style she was giggling and touching my chin which I grew facial hair, as I placed her on the bed she let's out a loud sigh

"I thought you were going to propose to me..I was so excited about tonight..but I just have to wait.." I climb onto the bed and looked down at her "I will propose to you when you least expect it, I have the ring hiding but I want to wow you" she blushed and smiled "You have the ring? And now I'm super excited about it, I can't wait" she pulled me down so I could kiss her "I love you Marco" I looked at her ocean blue eyes as they held love in them "I love you too Star"

the next morning I was tangled with stars body on me, as I looked around I see clothing all over the place and I move slowly out of bed and get my sweats on and started cleaning the house a bit, as I did I made breakfast for us both and I kept thinking on how I'm gonna do this? As I drank my juice I heard a soft yawn, looking forward I see star in my red hoodie and her her hair in a messy bun "Morning babe" she kissed my cheek and sat by me "Smells good" as I watched her eat a smile came across my face, I could recreate how we met into a proposal

"Marco why are smiling to yourself?" I shake my head "Nothing, I just thought of something for classes" "Nerd..but still love you" I nod and walked towards our shared bedroom and sat on the bed, I could do it in the morning when we don't have class, she's usually preparing? I looked over to my closet and smirked, it needs to be perfect no stuttering or being nervous, you asked this girl to be your girlfriend, now it's time to ask her to be your wife.

The following Monday, I held the ring in my coat pocket and she kept glancing at me "Your acting stranger than usual, is this about the proposal? Marco don't over go with it, I can wait okay don't push it" I smiled "It's okay it's not that, I think I forgot my classroom keys, you go on I'll be back"

she giggles and keeps walking and I wait until she's preparing, as a 20 minutes go by I walk with a bouquet of roses, I entered and saw her have a big grin "Aw Marco this is so lovely" as she accepted the roses Jane and a couple of our old students came in with giant cards and sayings we said to each other for years and I slowly got down on one knee and pulled the ring but only to fall into a pipe, I curse under my breath as o reach for it and grab it, I tug back but I'm stuck "Mr Diaz?" I put a smile on my fave

"Well, this is awkward, I'm sorry Star I wanted this to be perfect but being clumsy I let the ring fall inside a pipe and getting myself stuck as well" star put down the roses and kneel down and kissed me "Yes" "Y-you want to marry me?" She nods "Of course I do, let me call the janitor don't move" she leaves and my old students looked down at me "Hey, at least she said yes, I'm getting married!" They laugh and hug me "Congrats, it took you awhile but you have the woman of your dreams" I nodded

"I do, thanks guys for being there for me" they share a nod or two before Star returns with the janitor that has a saw and I whimper at the vibration that's going to be shooting up my arm "Don't move" "No problem I won't" after an hour and people watching I was free and I still held the ring "Wow, that a pretty ring" "of course, for a beautiful girl, love you Star" I slid the ring on her finger and earned some Aw and clapping she kissed me and I held tighter

"I'm getting married, I'm gonna take your last name babe" I nodded "You are aren't you excited?" "Yeah" "Yeah?" We laughed and separated for our classes, all day I looked across the hallway looking at my beautiful fiancee, going back to when I had a crush to when I asked her out to now, her becoming my wife "Mr Diaz, will you two have kids?" I shrugged "Maybe in the future, who knows right?"
