A Bright Future (Star)

I looked across the horizon and took in the kingdom of Mewni, a sight for sore eyes. Ever since magic was destroyed and the monarchy fell, the kingdom faced a worrying economic depression, unlike anything we had ever faced before. The people of Mewni had relied heavily on magic, and without it, many lost their jobs and their very way of life. Luckily the newly formed Earth Union agreed to help the mewmans with better technological advancements and guidance of how to lead this struggling nation. The money from tourism didn't hurt either. Within six months they were back on track.

The question of who was to lead had still been left unanswered. Last week the first election in Mewni history was held. People held campaigns, speeches and also put numerous annoying adds on TV. Many people threw campaigns in an effort to get as many nominations as possible. Among the following was Eclipsia, Lady Whosits, Buffrog and Sir Lavabone. The election was held in the Magic Sanctuary which the sea monsters had helped salvage. Mum and I were key figures in helping set up the election. I breathe out slowly, my breath coming out as fog. Words couldn't describe how relieved I was, that my mum wasn't running. After the war, mum decided that she needed to let go so she could spend more time with the family. I'm secretly glad that in a few weeks when the election results will be announced I'll finally be able to cut all ties to the Mewni government.

Since Echo Creek was literally now touching Mewni, many mewmans had begun going to school there. Because of all the work needed to reshape Mewni into a kingdom that could function without magic, I haven't been able to get free of responsibility. My family still retained a considerate portion of their wealth, so they had me employed multiple tutors so I could catch up with the rest of my year group. Their money paid off, I still had trouble with maths, but for everything, I'm or else getting there. Just one more day to wait. Till I finally can have a normal life with no wars or pressure to lead. After finally being able to actually think with a clear head about what I wanted to do next, I'd finally found my calling. What I really wanted to do was serve as an ambassador between Mewni and Earth. I'd already gotten a taste for it when I spent all that time with my mum going over negotiations and debating over contracts. As an ambassador, I would be able to meet new people, make a difference, put my opinion out there, yet the pressure wouldn't rest so heavily on me like it used to. In other words, it was perfect.

I finally finish my maths homework from my tutor and set it neatly onto the counter. After the events of I'd moved back into Butterfly Castle which had been rebuilt with the royalties I'd received like Marco, in return for permission to make merchandise for me. It turns out that destroying magic and consequently the barrier keeping the dimensions apart, is a quick way to become famous and make enemies... Holding onto my hardened resolve, I slowly muster my scattered nerves long enough to say, "Hey Google, call mum."
