Chapter 22: Here We Go Again

"Do you want a smoothie?" G-Dragon asked as we stood by the food cart. He wanted to grab a smoothie after I had suggested that he and I should talk.

"No, I already had my lunch a few minutes ago," I replied.

"Okay," said G-Dragon. He turned to the young lady who was at the cash register and ordered his smoothie with a huge grin on his face. I noticed him wink too. The young lady gave him cute googly eyes, winked back and went right away to prepare his smoothie.

I rolled my eyes at the pair. It was clear to see that they were flirting. Just when I needed a distraction, my phone beeped. I took my phone out of my purse and found a message from Lee. It read:

"Derrick's brother has left. Zoey still has the teddy. Nothing to worry about."

"Thank goodness," I muttered to myself. I made a mental note to talk to Derrick later on about his brother.

"Thank goodness about what?" G-Dragon asked.

I turned to look at him and I could see he already had his smoothie. He was looking at me as he sucked on his straw.

"Nothing important," I said, putting my phone away.

"Has anyone ever told you that you're so mysterious?" G-Dragon asked as he and I slowly walked away from the food cart.

"I get that comment a lot," I replied.

"Should we head back to the others?"

"You and I still have to talk." I looked at him with an eyebrow raised.

"But we've talked, haven't we? And we are doing so right now."

"Seriously? You're just like Zoey."

"How?" G-Dragon stopped to look at me as he sucked on his smoothie.

"You both don't take me seriously."

G-Dragon sighed. "Fine. You got me. I thought not talking about the matter at hand will help us get distracted."

I looked down at my feet. "The others expect us to talk and work things out. And I think they are right."

"Have you tried talking to Zoey?"

"You know her. She's really difficult and I couldn't get near her yesterday. She even moved out of the room and hasn't talked to me since."

"If you ask me, I shouldn't even be talking to you either."

I put my hands on my hips. "Because you're still upset with me too?"

"Pretty much, yes."

G-Dragon went ahead of me and I followed. I wasn't surprised by his response.

"I'm guessing Daesung told you his side of the story," I said as I caught up with him, remembering Daesung.

G-Dragon didn't say anything at first as he sucked on his smoothie. "Yes, he did."

"And...? Aren't you also going to hear me out too."

G-Dragon turned to look at me. "No."

This was going to be a whole lot difficult than I thought. Just like Zoey, G-Dragon was also stubborn.

"Fine, I get that you don't want to listen to me."

"I'm glad you realise that." He turned to look at me with a jolly smile on his face. "Now, can we head back to the others? I think I want to go home."

I didn't persist. I nodded my head instead. I felt awful that I had failed to try and work things out with G-Dragon just like that. Maybe now clearly wasn't the right time.

We walked in silence heading towards the entrance. As we bypassed the Chinese restaurant Zoey and Derrick's brother were dining in earlier, we noticed that the others weren't any where nearby.

"Where are they?" G-Dragon asked.

"I have no idea," I said as I looked around.

"They must be around here somewhere."

"Let me try and call Lee."

I took my phone out and called her. She answered immediately.

"Hey, Lee, where are you guys?" I asked.

"Oh, uh, we left the mall," Lee answered.

"What!" I covered my mouth as I realised that my voice echoed around the place.

G-Dragon looked at me with a surprised look on his face. I turned my back on him.

"Don't be mad, Sam, but it was Taeyang's idea that we leave you guys behind," said Lee.

"Are you kidding me?" I whispered over the phone. "G-Dragon doesn't want to listen or talk to me."

"Ya, Taeyang figured he would do that. That's why we all decided to leave."

"And if you think this will work out, you're sadly mistaken. How about Zoey? Did she leave for the hotel?"

"No, she stayed behind with Seungri and TOP. So, you might want to be careful. In case she sees the two of you together."

"She will throw a jealous fit that's for sure. Anyway, just so you know, you guys are terrible friends."

"Just trying to help."

I quickly cut the call and turned to look at G-Dragon who was shaking his now empty smoothie cup and threw it away in a bin nearby.

"So, where are they?" he asked, not looking at me.

"They left."

"They what?" G-Dragon looked like he couldn't believe what he was hearing.

"You heard me. They left without us. Though, Seungri, TOP and Zoey are still around."

G-Dragon sighed. "This is just great. When I want to be alone, I get dragged here to the mall just to talk to you. And now, Zoey is around and just like I don't want to see her, she probably doesn't want to see me either."

"Look, I don't care, G-Dragon. It's pretty clear you don't want to be here. Maybe you can get a taxi and leave. I'll stick around and see if I could find the others."

I quickly turned around and headed further into the mall. To be honest, I wanted to be as far away from G-Dragon as possible. I was tired of his whining and I was pretty pissed that he wasn't willing to listen to me. But then again, I couldn't blame him. I just wanted to be alone.

"Sam, wait!"

I felt him grab my hand and I stopped in my tracks. I turned around and G-Dragon was right next to me. I looked down at where his hand held mine. His touch sent chills down my spine that I felt really weird. I pulled my hand away from his grip.

"What?" I asked as I tucked a strand of my hair behind my ear and not looking at him.

"I..eh," G-Dragon hesitated. I looked at him as he scratched the back of his head.

"What is it, GD?"

"Don't go yet."

I was so confused I could slap him right now. "What?"

"I just realised that I need to look for something."

"Like what?"

"I'll know it when I see it."

I was more confused than ever. What did he mean? A moment ago, he didn't want to talk to me, and now, he wanted me around. What for? He was so unpredictable and that's what annoyed me even more.

"Okay, I'll stick around," I said. "But what is this thing you're looking for? I'm confused." I wondered what he could be looking for. Maybe he said that for me to stick around for a little while.

He didn't answer my question. "Let's go shopping for clothes first."

"Huh, I already did with Lee. And aren't you supposed to be looking for something?"

"This time, you'll be the one helping me out with my shopping." He totally ignored my question, again. I rolled my eyes at him.

"I don't think a fashionista like you will need my help." I had a stern look on my face.

"We're both involved in fashion, aren't we? I don't think that will be a bad idea."

"No." I looked at G-Dragon and I still couldn't figure out what made him change his mind all of the sudden. And I wasn't going to ask about it either.

"So, shall we go?" he asked looking at me with eager eyes.

"Sure," I said. I had a feeling shopping with G-Dragon was going to capture a lot of attention and we would be all over social media. Anyway, I was ready for the worst, especially from Zoey.

So G-Dragon and I went on our shopping spree, going in stores filled with designer clothing. And just as I had feared, everywhere we went, our fans followed too.

Which ever store we went to, fans would be waiting outside because the store's security would block the doors, which was kind of helpful, but it was still a challenge when we had to get out of the store.

We were in one of the stores and I was waiting outside the men's dressing room waiting for G-Dragon to come out. I was looking at fancy dresses when my phone rang in my purse. Thinking it was Lee, I got the surprise of my life.

"Hey, Collins," I answered sounding as innocent as I possibly could, knowing why he called.

"What are you doing at the mall?" Collins asked.

"I came here shopping with G-Dragon," I answered.

"You know your faces are all over social media, right?"

"Ya, I figured," I said as I looked towards the large display window hiding behind some clothe racks. There was still a huge crowd waiting outside.

"You know people will start to think that you two are now dating."

"Well, I don't think think so. We're just shopping. Not going on a date."

"That's not what the fans think."

"They can think all they want. G-Dragon and I aren't dating."

"I know. Just be careful and don't do anything that will make the fans think that you're, okay?"

"Got it. See you later."

I cut the call and when I turned around towards the men's dressing room, G-Dragon was looking at me.

"Who was that?" he asked.

"Collins," I answered as I looked him up and down. "Our faces are all over social media. He was just worried."

"Oh."

"You look awesome by the way," I said with a smile.

He wore a red fancy looking leather jacket with a black designer shirt and black designer jeans.

"You think so?" He asked as he went to look at himself in a full length mirror.

"Ya, all you need are some cool shades, a fancy looking snapback cap and your outfit is complete," I said as I stood behind him.

"You're right, I do look amazing," he said with a grin on his face.

"You're a fashionista after all. Are you going to buy the outfit?"

"I'm thinking twice about it. It's cool but I don't think I'll need it."

"Well, you're the one buying this time around, so, I have no say."

"Take a photo of me in this outfit and post it."

"Huh?" I thought I didn't hear him right.

"Take a pic," he said as he turned to look at me.

"I thought you weren't going to buy the outfit."

"Just because I'm not going to buy it, doesn't mean I can take a pic."

"Fine." I rolled my eyes and took out my phone from my purse.

G-Dragon was well known for his golden touch. What I mean by this is that, wherever he goes shopping and buys something, everyone would want to get the same item he bought.

"Say cheese." I held up the phone to take the pic.

G-Dragon posed, with his fingers raised giving a peace sign. I took the photo.

"Take another one," said G-Dragon after I showed him the pic.

"Why? You look just fine," I said, already posting the pic on Instagram.

"For real?"

I wasn't looking up at him when I answered, "you don't need another picture taken because you always look great. With or without designer clothes on."

"All done," I said as I looked up from my phone. I almost held my breath as I took a step back. G-Dragon was standing really close to me that he had frightened me.

"What are you doing?" I asked, shaking my head.

"Nothing, I was just wondering if what you were saying is true," G-Dragon said. This time he spoke so softly.

I cleared my throat as I looked away. "About what?"

"If I look good all the time just as you say I do." He stepped closer.

"Well, I'm..." he took another step closer and I took another step back. "I was very sincere about what I said. You always look good."

"How sure are you that you aren't lying to me? You're one pretty good liar."

He took another step closer, I took another step back and I felt my back lean on something hard. I was leaning on the clothes rack with nowhere to go.

"I'm telling you the truth, GD. I mean, you look good or I can say handsome, all the time. You should know that since your fans, especially your female VIPs say that about you all the time."

"And because you say that, you're my fan, right?" G-Dragon had a mocking smile on his face.

He leaned in closer and his hand was on my side holding the rack so that I wouldn't think of escaping.

"Well, I have to admit, I am." I gave him a nervous smile.

"I'm glad," G-Dragon leaned closer and this time our bodies touched. I could feel his breath on me as he leaned to the side, closing in on my neck.

"Ummm," I closed my eyes as my heart beat faster and his breath on my neck and my shoulder tickled my skin. "GD.... I...."

"Ssh, don't say another word, my little kitty," he whispered as his finger found itself on my lips.

"But we aren't supposed to be so close...not here."

"Why not? You know how I feel about you."

G-Dragon moved his face closer and I could tell he was about to kiss me. I could feel his other hand wrap around my waist and draw me even closer.

I looked him in the eye and my heart beat so fast. I don't know where the need to kiss him came from and I wanted to so badly. Looking at him stirred up all these feelings that drove me crazy. But right now, something in me didn't feel right.

"Ji Yong, wait," I laid my hand on his chest and pushed him gently away from me. We stood a foot apart from each other.

"What is it?"

"You know this isn't right," I said, as I looked him straight in the eye. "Right now, I'm so confused."

"Confused about what? Is it about my feelings towards you?"

"Well, ya." I looked down at the floor. I don't how he guessed right. Must have been the look of confusion in my eyes.

G-Dragon's hand slipped away from my waist and he took a step back even further.

"What about it?" he asked.

"I mean, I don't get what I'm doing here," I said as I walked around him, away from the clothes rack. "Before we came here, you didn't even want to talk to me. And when I told you to leave, you decided to stay and say that I stick around with you. This is all so confusing."

I turned to look at him and I could tell that he had been listening to me the entire time. I continued to say, "I want to ask you something."

"Go ahead," he said.

"Are you really mad at me or not?"

G-Dragon looked confused at first but he understood, nonetheless.

"I am still mad at you, Sam," he answered. "But I'm also as confused as you are about my feelings towards you."

"What?"

"I'm so mad at you because of what happened with you and Daesung. I'll admit that I'm jealous, but...."

Before I realised it, G-Dragon had appeared so close to me in a flash and had his arm wrapped around my waist and pulling me closer to him. How did he get so close so fast?

"......I realise that I love you too much to stay mad at you."

My heart pace quickened. I stared wide eyed at him, not believing a word he said. Maybe he was joking around again but as much as I wanted to believe that, I know he was being truthful this time.

"GD, I....." I hesitated. "Wh......what did you say?"

"You heard me, Sam. I love you too much to stay mad at you forever. As much as I want to, I just can't. I know you said we can't be together, but being mad at you is the only way I can stay away from you."

"But aren't you mad that I might not feel the same way about you like you feel for me? I mean, I kissed Daesung the other day. How could you say you want me after all that?"

"I don't know and I really don't care. I know you like me more than you like Daesung. I could tell by the way you look at me."

I blushed, slowly shaking my head. "You can't be too sure about that, Ji Yong."

G-Dragon gave me a smile and he leaned his forehead against mine. He looked me straight in the eye.

"Maybe that's another reason why I'm so mad at you. You aren't ready to accept the truth that you love me more than you think."

I was shocked by what he said. But that sent me thinking. What if he was telling the truth? Was I really in love with him and I just didn't want to accept it? But what about my feelings for Daesung? Weren't they real?

G-Dragon took a step away from me, his hands on my waist dropping to the side. He backed away from me slowly, heading for the dressing room.

"Once you figure all this out, maybe then this feud between us will end," he said.

He quickly went in the dressing room to change and I was left standing alone in silence, thinking about what had just transpired.

I rubbed my forehead as I walked around in circles. How was I going to convince G-Dragon that this love story wasn't going to work out? For goodness sake, I don't know how many times I was going to tell him the same thing. If we ever dated, all that was going to be short term and that's it.

What was I going to do now? I didn't expect G-Dragon to get too attached to me that he would say that he loved me. As much as I didn't expect to hear him say that, my heart was still beating so fast and I felt like I was flying so high, never to touch the ground. But that was the bad part. I didn't want to fly too high, because in one way or another, I was going to crash down hard.

What if he was telling the truth about me having deep feelings for him? Come to think of it, I hadn't really taken my feelings for G-Dragon seriously. But that's because I've always tried to see him as a friend and nothing else. And that was when Zoey liked him so much. I'm not really sure about now.

I shook my head at the thought of taking G-Dragon more than a friend. I didn't want to. I didn't want to get too attached. I still had to keep Collins' golden rule in mind and as much as I wanted to break it, I was too good not to. Or maybe I already have.

Arrgh! How did I get in this situation in the first place?

I sighed in frustration and I didn't hear G-Dragon getting out of the changing room.

"Hey, what's wrong?" G-Dragon asked.

"Nothing," I said as I looked down at my feet.

"Are you upset?"

I didn't answer at first, thinking of what to say. "It's nothing. I was just thinking."

"Okay. Um, I think we can go now."

I nodded my head and looked away. We both went to the store's counter. The fans outside the store gave out a scream when they saw us and I felt like covering my ears to block out the noise.

"Wait a minute," I said as I looked at the counter where the clothes' price tags were being scanned. I took the red leather jacket he had tried out just a few minutes ago in my hand. "I thought you weren't going to get this."

"I decided to take the jacket," said G-Dragon.

"Nice. For a moment, I thought you made the wrong decision."

G-Dragon looked at me and I also turned to face him.

"I never make the wrong choices over something I like," he said with a smile.

I knew when he said "something he likes" meant me. I blushed and looked away. The two ladies by the counter giggled. That statement was going to be all over the net if these ladies had the chance of writing what happened. Which I hope they wouldn't.

After paying and leaving the store with such great difficulty, G-Dragon decided to go to another store. I was so tired that I wanted to refuse but I couldn't. Right now, the attention we were receiving from the fans behind us was frustrating and I already had a long day because of all the fuss over Zoey and Derrick's brother.

Just as we were about to enter one of the stores, coming out through the door was TOP, Zoey and Seungri with shopping bags in their hands. Uh-oh. We all paused as we looked at each other.

"Hey, guys," said G-Dragon trying to hide his fear upon seeing Zoey with a smile. "I didn't expect to see you here."

"Oh, uh, we also came shopping," said TOP. "If we knew that you were coming, we would have done so together."

G-Dragon and I tried our best to smile but with Zoey looking at you with an angry questioning look on her face, it proved to be hard to do so.

"How come you two are out shopping together?" Zoey asked.

G-Dragon and I turned to look at each other, and then back at Zoey. TOP and Seungri were looking else where, knowing fully well that this was not a type of conversation to be involved in.

"Uh, I met G-Dragon when I came here with Lee," I said. "She had to leave. She wasn't feeling too good."

"I was wondering where Lee was," said Zoey, looking behind us and noticing the group of fans. "And what's with all the fans?"

G-Dragon and I looked behind at the fans who stood at a reasonable distance and waved happily at us. We waved back and went back to looking at Zoey.

"You just know fans," said G-Dragon. "They follow me every time I'm around without any bodyguards."

"Are you sure?" Zoey had her eyebrow raised. "I know fans follow their favourite idols everywhere they go, but this is a huge crowd, don't you think?"

"Ya, you're right."

Zoey smiled at G-Dragon and when she turned to look at me, that smile disappeared. I could see jealously written all over her face. I shouldn't have agreed to stick around with G-Dragon.

"For you two to be hanging out together, looks like you have resolved your issues," said Zoey.

"No, we haven't," G-Dragon and I said at the same time.

If the fans had known what our conversation was all about, they wouldn't be chattering so happily to each other after hearing us answer Zoey at the same time. And saying the same words!

Zoey gave the fans a questioning look. "What's up with them?"

"Nothing." Again, we replied at the same time.

Seungri and TOP winced in silence. Luckily, Zoey didn't notice. And the fans were loving how G-Dragon and I were replying and saying the same words at the same time, again.

"Weird," said Zoey shaking her head. "Anyway, should we leave you two to carry out your own shopping or do you want to join us?"

Good. This was my only shot at escaping from all this.

"G-Dragon can go on ahead with you guys," I said. "I'm beat. I had a long day with Lee and I was just helping out with his shopping."

"Come on, Sam," said Seungri. "Just stay for a little while. I can take you and Zoey to the hotel afterwards."

Zoey and I in the same car was not a good picture in my mind right now. I could just book a cab and find myself back.

"No, Seungri. I'm really tired."

"Then I'll take you," said G-Dragon.

There was an "awwww, so sweet" behind us, coming from some of the fan girls. I looked behind me and whispered to them to keep their voices down.

"No, there's no need," I said looking at G-Dragon.

"Ya, GD, there's no need," said Zoey. Then she lowered her voice. "It's not like you and Sam are dating anyway. And as far as I know, you two aren't in good terms. Which reminds me, why are you two hanging out if you had argued?"

"I don't think asking that question is appropriate," said TOP.

"It is to me," said Zoey. "I just want to know now what's going on."

It was clear to see that Zoey was still jealous. She must be very upset because just yesterday, she broke up with G-Dragon and today, he is hanging out with me like nothing ever happened. I couldn't blame her for how she felt. Any girl could feel the exact same way seeing her ex with another girl just after their breakup.

"Look, Zoey," I said. "GD and I are here together because we had to talk."

"Talk about what?" Zoey asked.

"About what happened yesterday."

"Oh." Zoey's eyebrows raised. "How is that working out for you?"

The atmosphere around changed all of the sudden soon after Zoey had asked that question. I could hear some muttering from the fans behind us and it seemed like they noticed it too. As if knowing that this conversation now got personal, some slowly started to disperse. Thank goodness.

"Not good, I'm afraid," I said, answering Zoey's question.

"I figured," said Zoey with a smirk. "I wonder why you're even trying. I'm glad you haven't tried to talk some sense into me. Because I wouldn't listen to you either."

"Looks like you know that the both of you are stubborn," I said, looking at G-Dragon then at Zoey. I was slowly losing my temper.

"Can we not try to talk about this here?" TOP asked. "This is getting awkward."

"Don't worry, I was just leaving," I said as I gave G-Dragon some of the shopping bags I helped him carry.

"Sam, wait, don't go," said Seungri.

"No, don't try and stop me this time." I quickly turned around and headed back the way I came. And the others never tried to call me back.

I reached the escalator and I couldn't help but think that Zoey was right. What was the point of even trying to convince them anyway when they weren't going to listen to me? Zoey wasn't convinced that I had only been trying to protect her and G-Dragon wasn't willing to give up on his love for me. I couldn't be with G-Dragon because if I ever did, that would make Zoey hate me even more.

I shouldn't have stuck around when I was fully aware that Zoey was around. I was stupid, that's for sure.

I was by the entrance of the mall when I pulled out my phone and just as I was about to call Lee to come pick me up, a black SUV came to park right in front of me. I almost dropped my phone when the door to the passenger's side flew open.

"Need a ride?"

It was Collins. I was so glad he was here. I quickly went in the SUV and the vehicle drove off.

"Why are you here?" I asked, looking at Collins.

"Looks like I knew you needed a ride," said Collins.

I raised an eyebrow at him. He looked at me and then looked forward. When he still felt my eyes on him, he turned to look at me and sighed.

"Fine, you got me," said Collins. "I came here because of what your fans were posting about you and G-Dragon. I don't want another problem in our hands."

I smiled. "Was that so hard?"

"Pretty much. I don't like to act like a protective dad, you know?"

"You're doing a pretty good job at it, Collins. You came right when I needed you."

Collins gave a grunt and I burst out laughing.

"Looks like you ditched G-Dragon," said Collins. "Mind telling me what happened?"

I remembered the encounter with Zoey. "I just had to leave. Too many fans around."

"You know that when the two of you are together, you create a commotion, especially in your fans' heads."

"You're right. But it's also because G-Dragon and I bumped into Zoey."

"Even Zoey is at the mall? Why didn't you tell me?"

"Wasn't necessary, till now."

"I'm guessing you two still aren't talking to each other?"

"Yep."

I wondered if I could tell Collins what was going on, but I thought that it wasn't necessary.

"Whatever difference you guys have, I hope you will be able to resolve it soon," said Collins. "We'll be working on the music video and I feel that may hinder things."

I nodded my head. Collins was right. And I felt so bad that I had failed to try and resolve things with Zoey. And with those photos of G-Dragon and I posted on the internet, it was going to be a whole lot harder to talk to her. Luckily, Collins had no idea that I had to resolve things with G-Dragon too.

"Aren't you going to ask why we argued?" I asked looking at Collins.

"No," Collins shook his head. "I know it's none of my business and I know you don't need me to resolve it. You're adults. And besides, there is you."

"Me?"

"You're good at solving problems, so I have no worries."

I looked at Collins and my heart was screaming just to tell him the truth. But I turned away so that I wouldn't open my mouth to tell him. I have always known Collins trusted me way too much. That's why he made me the leader. But right now, I felt bad that I couldn't resolve this one problem with G-Dragon and Zoey that I felt I wasn't good enough.

And besides, if I told Collins what was going on, he would realise that I also broke the Golden rule. And breaking the rule, meant breaking his trust.

We arrived at the hotel and as soon as we got out of the SUV, I told myself that I had to think of something fast. Tomorrow, we would be finishing up on the choreography. So I have till tomorrow to make things right. And I still have Derrick's brother to deal with too.

If I had to start working on new plans, I had to start now.

As Collins and I walked up to the entrance of the hotel, I felt I was being watched and stopped right at the glass doors of the hotel. I looked behind and saw no one. I looked around the rose bushes right next to the short stairway of the entrance and still saw no one.

I then remembered the mysterious person who sneaked up on me in the dressing room at our fan signing event and the time I was at YG alone finishing up on the lyrics of the song. I had completely forgotten about him. Could it be he was the one spying on me right now?

"Sam, what are you looking at?" Collins asked as he was already halfway across the lobby, heading to the elevator.

"Nothing," I replied, catching up with Collins. Looks like I still had a lot pending and finding out who was spying on me was one of them.

Collins and I got in the elevator and went straight for our floor. I pulled out my phone as soon as we got out of the elevator. I made a beeline for my room, waving at my brothers in the lobby who waved back. They were still playing video games.

When I got to my room, I closed the door and called Derrick.

"Hey, any news?" Derrick asked as soon as he picked up.

"Your brother and Zoey met today at the mall," I said.

"Do you know what's going on?"

"No. But I know whatever is going on between them, the teddy bear that your brother sent us holds the key."

"My brother sent a teddy bear?" Derrick sounded surprised.

"Ya. I needed a little help to stop Zoey from giving the teddy away. But I know that they might meet tomorrow."

"We have to stop them, then."

"That's if I find out what's in that teddy bear first."

"How are you going to do that?"

I paused for a moment and I thought of the easiest way possible.

"I think I have an idea."
