Y/N POV

I'm sitting on a bench, gazing at the birds that seem so carefree. How will I break the news of my departure to my friends? Why did my parents suddenly decide this? Are they keeping something from me?

I feel a tap on my shoulder, causing me to flinch slightly. Turning around, I find my friends standing there. I ask them when they arrived.

Y/N: Hey, when did you guys get here?

Kook: We've been here since you arrived.

Y/N: Why?

Jimin: We wanted to talk to you.

Y/N: You could've just called me, you know.

They exchange incredulous glances. Have I done something wrong?

Lisa: We called you multiple times, but you didn't respond and just walked here. So we followed you.

Y/N: Is that so? 

I respond with a soft voice, but they still hear me.

Jisso: What's going on with you?

Y/N: What do you mean? I'm perfectly fine. 

I chuckle nervously, trying to brush off their suspicions.

Jin: No, you're not the Y/N we know.

Y/N: How can you say that? I'm still your friend. I'm the same Y/N.

Namjoon: Our Y/N would always stand up for herself when someone insulted her, but you didn't react when Jessy insulted you in the cafeteria.

Suga: And even now, you're acting differently. You didn't turn around when we called your name loudly, echoing down the hallway.

A lump forms in my throat. They've observed every little detail. After all, they're my best friends. They're bound to notice changes in my behavior. Can I really keep my troubles hidden from them?

Jhope: Look, even now, you're lost in thought.

Y/N: It's nothing, guys. I've just been stressed lately.

Jennie: Stressed? Why?

Y/N: Uhh... exams. Yeah, exams.

Kook: But—(interrupted)

Jisso: You can go now, Y/N.

I glance at them one last time and walk away. I'm certain they've sensed something's amiss with me.

Taehyung POV

When she attributed her stress to exams, my suspicions grew stronger. Jungkook spoke up.

Kook: Why did you tell her to leave? She was lying. Our exams just finished.

Jisso: I'm aware of that. She's keeping something from us.

Jimin: I'm genuinely worried about her.

Lisa: I miss her old cheerful self.

We all nod in agreement, watching her retreating figure.

Next day - School Hallway

Y/N POV

I'm now waiting near Taehyung's locker. 

I haven't informed my friends about my impending move to London. I just want to speak with him one last time. 

I'm going to confess to him one final time before I leave. I also want to know the real reason he rejected me. Even though I have some idea, I want him to explain it himself. 

I see him approaching, so I approach him quickly.
