First Mission

"Cam."

"What?"

"Director Fury wants to see you."

Cameron nodded at Hill.

"Gotcha!"

He held up a piece of chocolate pie.

"Want some?"

Hill shook her head.

"No thanks."

Cam shrugged.

"Your loss."

He finished off the rest of the pie and headed towards Fury's office.

When he arrived he found that the door to Fury's office was painted a bright, sparkly pink.

Huh. I never knew Fury to like pink.

He entered the office, only to find it completely pink.

Pink fuzzy carpet, pink fuzzy heart shaped lamps, pink fuzzy heart shaped puppy lamps.

There was glitter, sparkles, it looked like a unicorn threw up in there.

"Uh. I love what you've done with the place sir."

Cam approached Fury's now pink desk.

"Do you seriously think that I did this?"

Fury shouted.

Cam shrunk back.

"Sorry sir."

Fury sighed.

"This is so humiliating."

"It sure it sir."

Fury glared at him.

"I mean... It's awful.... Sir."

"Right. Listen, there's been some suspicious activity going on at the old Avenger's Tower. I want you to take a few agents and some Avengers to go check it
out."

"Sir, with all do respect, the Avenger's Tower is abandoned."

"That doesn't mean that no one's in there."

"Right. Sorry sir. Who would you like me to take?"

"Steve will choose your Avengers. But I want you to take Lyra, and Alexia."

"The noobs? I mean-"

Fury stopped him.

"Just take them with you. Steve will be waiting with his Avengers."

"Will Captain Rogers be coming with us?"

Cam asked hopefully.
All SHIELD agents dreamed of working with the Avengers. Especially Captain America.

"No. Just the "noobs" he chooses. Now go! I have people coming in to clean this place up."

"Yes sir."

Cam left the blinding office and went to the Garage, where all the cars were kept.

There was a seperate place for the jets and what not. But Cam didn't understand why they didn't just keep them all in one place.

He spotted Lyra and Alexia talking with Jane, Conner, and Del. Steve was there as well.

Steve noticed Cam and waved him over.

"Are you Cameron?"

"Yes. And let me just say that it is a honor to meet the Captain America in person!"

Steve laughed nervously.

"Well, you shouldn't have much to do over at the old tower. Just do a quick search of the place. I've lent you Jane and Conner. Del was told by Tony that she had to go."

Del snorted.

"Some punishment. We get to go on a mission to the Avengers Tower. I've learned my lesson!"

"This isn't your punishment for controlling your father's and Fury's mind."

Steve told her.

"They just want you guys out of the way while theu get your actual punishment ready."

"Then why am I going?"

Conner asked.

"For once I didn't do anything."

"This is your pretest Conner. If you do well on this mission, you'll get to take the final test and become a full member of the Avengers."

Steve told him.

Conner's mouth dropped opened.

"Shut your face hole. Are you serious?"

Alexia nudged him.

"Better not mess this up!"

"Of course I won't! I'll be an Avenger before I know it!"

"Remember Wanda's initiation?"

Lyra asked.

"All she had to do was step out a door."

"Yeah. Lucky."

Conner rolled his eyes.

"Anyway. Del and Cameron, you two will be responsible for these four. Understand?"

Cameron nodded.

"Of course sir!"

Steve smiled.

"Alright. Good luck guys. Remember, it's probably nothing serious, but be prepared for anything!"

Steve began walking away then paused.
He turned to Conner with a nervous expression.

"Where's Skyler?"

Conner shrugged.

"Dunno. I haven't seen her all day."

"Oh no."

Steve ran off leaving everyone standing in confusion.

"What was that all about?"

Jane asked.

"No idea."

Lyra replied.

"Alright guys!"

Cameron announced.

"Let's roll out!"

"Copyright!"

Conner shouted.

Alexia snickered while Cameron rolled his eyes.

Why do I get stuck with all the crazy people?

Steve searched frantically for Skyler but he found no sign of her.

The last thing we need is Skyler wandering around by herself.

He found Nicole talking to Tony and asked them if they had seen her.

"Nope. Sorry Cap."

Tony shrugged.

"I think I saw her with Iris earlier."

Nicole told him.

Steve nodded.

"Thanks!"

He ran off and found Iris with Loki.

Steve froze.

Loki was laughing at something Iris said.

He was actually not being a creep.
Which was creeling Steve out.

"Uh, Iris?"

Steve approached.

"Hello Steve."

Iris smiled while Loki's smile vanished.

"What do you want?"

"Loki. Be nice!"

Loki shrank back.

"Yes darling."

Darling?!?!?

Steve couldn't believe that Loki had just called someone darling.

"Did you need something Steve?"

Iris asked.

"Right. Have you seen Skyler?"

"I saw her leave with Anthony, Elizabeth, and Annette. They were going to the X-Mansion."

"Skyler with a bunch of mutants? Bad bad bad bad bad idea!"

Steve ran off leaving Loki and Iris.

"He seemed nervous."

Loki said to Iris.

She shrugged.

"He needs to take a vacation. He works too hard in my opinion."

Another chapter! Let me just say that this was a challenge to write! Wattpad was being dumb and it kept kicking me out and deleting what I wrote.

So annoying!

So yeah, I guess I now have two different story lines started. Oh well. Guess I can't resist.

People from the LOTR chat will get what I'm saying.

There might be another chapter today but I don't know.

Also, I need everyone to choose:

Team Captain America
Or
Team Iron Man

Don't ask. Just comment.

I'm out
