Chapter 6 - I Know Who You Are

The radio inside Diane's car was on the Daily Bugle's channel, as the noticeable voice of J. Jonah Jameson was speaking about the recent events at the Gala.

"You know what really grinds my gears? Spider-man! You see, I always thought that Spider-man was a menace, but as of today I realize I was wrong...He's more than a menace! Because ladies and gentlemen, I've just found the secret sixth member of the Bad Guys, Spider-man! I said it here, I said it first! I've got a source. Look at these photos!" He stopped talking as it seemed like someone had interrupted him.

After a few seconds of complete silence, he spoke again, "Okay, some of you can't see the pictures, so here's some light description. You want more? Subscribe to the Daily Bugle, accept the cookies and don't use adblock! You got one of them, where Spider-man is celebrating birthdays with criminals, fist-bumping criminals, shaking criminals hands, making cute cats videos with criminals, who does that? Well, a criminal like Spider-man does that! I always knew of Spider-man's true colors, but now everyone can see it in 4k and 60 fps! So I hope with all the provided proof, Spider-man will be finally arrested for good, or else I can't even imagine what diabolical plan he's planning next!"

Diane changed the radio channel to another one, letting go of the radio's wheel on the next channel. She put her paw back on the steering wheel. Spider-man was sitting on the right passenger seat of the car, he was slightly moving in his seat, trying to find a comfortable position, since he is not used to sitting in a car with his suit on.

Diane spoke up, "Looks like you were thrown under the bus."

"Yep. Looks like I was." Spider-man agreed with Diane, he turned his head to her, "You really think Marmalade is behind this?"

"It seems pretty logical that he is behind this. Just the way he acted after Green Goblin's attack, it's definitely suspicious. I just don't have any proof of it and why he is doing this." Diane explained.

"I'm sure we will soon find out." Spider-man said, and as the conversation finished, he went back to finding a way to comfortably sit.

Diane had a quick glance at Spider-man, hearing the constant squish sound of his seat, she wondered what he was doing.

"You okay?" Diane asked Spider-man.

Spider-man stopped, seeing that Diane might be annoyed by his constant moving around his seat, "Yeah, sort of. I'm just not used to sitting in a car with this suit on."

Diane let out a smile, "I can relate." She then thought about her words, and quickly flustered a correction to her words, "I mean, I understand why you would feel uncomfortable."

Spider-man nodded, as Diane briefly sighed in relief from seeing Spider-man not catching on to her words.

"I know this is an improvised road trip, but where are we going?" Spider-man asked Diane where they were going.

"Wolf gave me an address, I suppose it's their base." Diane answered.

"So that's what he wrote on his tie?" Spider-man asked Diane about the written content in the tie.

Diane nodded, "Yeah."

"Nothing more?" Spider-man wanted to know what exactly was written on the tie.

Diane shook her head, "No, just the address. Why do you ask?"

"To know, I mean it's not usual, someone writes something in a tie to give it to someone else." Spider-man explained

"Uh-uh..." Diane nodded with a grin, turning her head to Spider-man as they faced each other for a few seconds.

Spider-man pointed to the road in front of them, "Could you...watch the road?" He asked Diane.

"Yep." Diane turned her head back to the road, "Eyes on the road, Spider-man."

Inside the Osborn's mansion, Norman was in the living room, standing right in front of the fireplace, his two hands holding on the top of the fireplace's wooden rail. He looked down at the burning wood.

He didn't understand the purpose of his visit to Marmalade's mansion, he learned more about the meteorite, which would be something to keep his eyes on, but he still couldn't figure why he asked to join Marmalade in the end. He heard the Green Goblin's voice speak to him, right behind him where the Green Goblin's mask was held to the top side of a chair, the mask faced Norman.

Norman spoke to the mask, "I don't get it, we had the chance to kill Marmalade, why did we join him instead?" He asked the Green Goblin.

"Oh we will kill him, but not right now." The voice started to explain their plan, "Mario and the board members were just lap dogs, wastes of air, but the Governor and Marmalade are the big dogs, they deserve deaths similar to their corrupted careers."

Norman turned back to the mask, letting go of the rail as if he had lost the strength to control his arms, "Tell me. What do I do?" Norman asked the Green Goblin.

"Marmalade: Betrayal. A stab in the back, when he expects it the least." The Green Goblin told how they will deal with Marmalade.

Norman slowly went on his knees, "And the Governor?" Norman asked the Green Goblin.

"She broke you, Norman. So we will break her...And how do you efficiently break someone?" The Green Goblin told how they will deal with the Governor, but paused to let Norman answer that question.

Norman crawled closer to the mask, "How?" He asked the Green Goblin, nearly in a begging tone.

"The cunning warrior attacks neither body nor mind." The Green Goblin left out a clue.

"Tell me how!" Norman screamed, he wanted the answer to come from the Green Goblin.

"The heart, Osborn." The Green Goblin declared, "First, we attack her heart."

Norman stopped, thinking about it. How could he attack the Governor's heart? Who was she closest to? And then, it hit him, he knew there was only one person she considered her friend, Angel Maguire. He had watched the gala from afar, both of them holding each other so close, there might be more than friendship between the both of them.

"You mean the photographer?" Norman asked, he then looked down, hesitating to follow that plan, he didn't want to harm Angel, since he had nothing to do with his suffering, "But...he's innocent."

"You're right, he's just an innocent nobody, so why bother caring about him?" The Green Goblin asked Norman, not wanting him to bother to care about Angel.

Norman looked up at the mask, he was right. He couldn't let a nobody derail his plan, his ambition to get back to the top. The voice started laughing, as Norman followed the laugh, and then they started laughing in sync.

Harry was also inside the mansion, he was still shocked to have seen the deaths of every board member, he was trying to get it off his mind. His wish had been answered, as he started hearing laughs from the living room upstairs. He looked up to the closed door leading to the living room. The laughing continued, as Harry recognized the voice, it was his father.

"Dad?" Harry asked, loud enough to be heard to the living room, "Dad, is that you?"

The laughing stopped, and after a few seconds of silence the door opened and Norman got out of it, Harry noticed he seemed rather calm for someone who was just laughing hysterically for a good minute.

Norman looked down at Harry, "Harry, you're back." He said as he put a hand on the wooden staircase's railing, "Are you alright?"

Harry nodded, "I'm...Yeah I'm fine, no injuries."

"I'm so sorry. I wish I was there with you." Norman told Harry, but Harry just sighed and looked down. Norman started to walk down the stairs to join Harry, "But their deaths made me realize how important you are." those words made Harry look up to his father, who was now in front of him, "I haven't always been there for you, have I?"

"You're busy. You're an important man. I understand." Harry told Norman.

"That's no excuse." Norman said, he put a hand on Harry's shoulder, "I'm proud of you. I've lost sight of that somewhere but I'll make it up to you, Harry. I'm going to rectify certain inequities. And I will need your help, because you're my son, and I know without a doubt you will succeed as my successor."

Harry slowly nodded, trying to keep his composure and not tear up from the words he always wanted to hear from his father, "I will dad, I promise."

Norman went to hug Harry, which he gave in instantly. Harry put his arms around his father's back leaning his head to his shoulder, he closed his eyes to enjoy the close contact with his father. But Norman just gave him slow and calculative pats on the back, looking blankly in front of him.

Meanwhile, Diane and Spider-man had arrived at the address Wolf gave to Diane. She parker her car at the city's canal, they looked to their right and saw a tunnel, Diane drove the car inside of the car until stopping right in front of an elevator, they both got out of the car and went inside the elevator, Spider-man clicked on the button to go up as the elevator's doors closed and the platform started being lifted up. In the background, Bad Guys by Billie Eilish started playing.

After waiting for a bit the lift stopped and the doors opened. They looked in the room, seeing that everything the Bad Guys had stolen over the years was laying all around this room. Diane thought about Wolf's words when he gave her the tie. He really tried to give everything back. He tried to do good.

The Bad Guys were being taken to the S.U.C.M. Prison department by boat, after the travel in the frenetic waves, the boat had arrived at the prison. The Bad Guys were escorted inside the prison by officers, they entered the long corridor, heads down, still shocked and frustrated by being captured and betrayed by Marmalade, except Snake, he was looking in front of him, feeling nothing but anger.

"I can't believe we got double-crossed by a tiny rodent." Shark spoke up, shaking his head.

Snake looked up at Shark, "Oh, we got double-crossed by a rodent all right, but, uh, not a tiny one."

"What?" Shark asked Snake what he meant.

Snake started explaining, "This was supposed to be us conning Marmalade." Then an officer grabbed him by the neck and dragged him to the reception desk, "It turns out it was Wolf conning us." The officer forced Snake to take out every object that was inside of him to the top of the reception desk, the hardest one to remove was the rocket launcher, after finishing up, Snake turned his head to Wolf as he asked him, "Does that sound familiar to you, Wolf?"

"Why-why would you think that?" Wolf asked Snake, as an officer was scanning him with his metal scanner.

"Oh, I don't know, maybe because you just sabotaged the biggest heist of our lives." Snake retorted, putting his face close to Wolf, "I think you owe us an explanation, buddy."

Wolf sighed, "Okay. You're right. This what happened..." He got pushed to the height measuring wall, "Back in the museum, I just tried to steal an old lady's purse." Wolf paused as an officer gave him the mugshot sign, he posed for the picture and regained his composure right after the flash, he continued to explain, "Classic snatch and grab."

"Tried to? Since when do you try to steal something and not just steal it?" Tarantula asked Wolf, as she got her leg prints copied to a paper.

"I was trying to steal the purse when the old lady fell and..." Wolf paused as an officer gave him the prison's orange suit, he cleared his throat looking shamefully to the side, as he told the others in a whispering tone, "I kind of helped her."

"What?" Snake asked Wolf to repeat himself, as he got his mugshot taken.

"I kind of helped her." Wolf repeated, putting on the prison outfit.

"But then you stole her purse." Piranha said, as he also got his mugshot taken.

Wolf chuckled, "No, I didn't." He buttoned his orange shirt as he explained, "I saved the old lady, and she hugged me, and my tail wagged, and I didn't know what it was." He looked down grabbing his tail, "But it felt, uh, you know...good."

Everyone gasped from Wolf's words, except Snake and Tarantula.

"Ah. But then you stole the purse." Piranha, still not understanding that Wolf didn't steal from the old lady.

"No!" The others screamed at him in unisson.

Snake turned back to Wolf, "You know, I heard what the pig said to you about cutting us loose."

Shark leaned back, "Wait. Like, "us" us?" He asked Snake as he looked at the others.

Snake nodded, "Yeah, but not all of us." He turned back, looking at Tarantula who was at Shark's shoulder, "Tarantula was with them too."

Piranha scratched the back of his head, "But she didn't try and sabotage the plan." He pointed out.

"Maybe, but back at the gala I did see them talk about something, seemed pretty serious."

"You were watching us?" Wolf asked Snake.

"Of course I was." Snake said, turning back to Wolf, "I was waiting for you to look at me, I needed your help back there with the Chief. So what was the reason you didn't? Was it about cutting us loose?" Snake asked, waiting for an answer from Wolf or Tarantula, but he got none, "Of course, it was."

"It wasn't that." Tarantula told Snake.

Snake turned to Tarantula, "Then tell me what it was." He demanded an answer.

"At that moment I just thought that we shouldn't steal the Golden Dolphin, and we should...you know...turn good." Tarantula explained, avoiding eye-contact with Snake.

Piranha and Shark looked at Tarantula, not believing what she just told them. Wolf just sighed, knowing this little argument won't end well.

Snake chuckled, "Oh wow. I always thought your whole fanaticism about Spider-man was annoying, but now I think it's a problem."

"He's different from all of them, but the people still love him." Tarantula pointed out.

"Well, here's something you don't seem to get..." Snake paused as he slithered closer to Tarantula, "He's human. He may have spider-like abilities, but he is still just a man, it's in the name. You think you can become like him? Let me break your dream, you can't. Say, we try to save people in a burning building and then they see one of us, they prefer to jump into the flames rather than approach us."

"Come on, Snake. That's enough." Wolf told Snake to stop, trying to put a paw to his back to calm him down.

Snake pushed Wolf's paw away with his tail, "I'm just stating facts. No matter what we do, everyone will always fear us."

"What about at the gala?" Wolf asked as he looked at everyone, "You guys felt it. the clapping, the cheering. We were more than...than just scary villains. They loved us."

"Oh, yeah? If they loved us so much, how come we're in prison for a crime we didn't commit?" Snake asked back, without letting Wolf reply back, "You know what? I'll give Marmalade this. At least he sees the world for what it is: A place where some people are scary and some people are scared."

"Oh, yeah?" Wolf asked Snake, he then revealed, "Well, I'm sure Tarantula will agree with me on this, but I'm tired of being scary. I'm-I'm tired of being an outcast. Maybe I don't want to be a-"

Snake interrupted Wolf, "What? A Bad Guy?" Snake asked Wolf, showing his fangs, "Don't want to be a Bad Guy anymore, huh? We already know Tarantula's answer, but I wanna hear yours. So, Say it, Wolf." He waited for Wolf to answer, but once again, he got none, "Yeah, I thought so." He looked back at the others, "And me, Shark and Piranha, your lifelong friends? We're just holding you two back?"

At that moment Wolf lost his temper, "Yeah, maybe you are!" He screamed at Snake.

Snake leaned back, as the others gasped, not expecting Wolf would actually admit they were holding him back.

Snake snarled and instantly jumped back at Shark's shoulder where Tarantula was, jumping in with his mouth wide open showing his fangs. Tarantula jumped up as Snake landed on Shark's shoulder, he closed his mouth as soon as Tarantula landed on top of his head.

"Did...Did you just tried to bite me?" Tarantula asked Snake, looking down at him.

"Yeah I did, what are you gonna do about it, hero?" Snake asked back.

Tarantula showed off her legs, "Well, I got eight legs going directly to your eyes."

Before both of them could start beating each other up, Wolf separated them as he grabbed on Snake with both his paws, "Guys! We don't fight each other!"

"Oh yeah?" Snake asked Wolf, pushing his face close to his, "Then why are you choking me?!" Snake asked Wolf as he choked him with his tail in return.

They both fell to the floor, as two guards were running towards them, Wolf and Snake started fighting, as the two guards tried to take them apart. After some struggling, the two guards were able to separate them, "Hey, hey, hey!" One guard warned them, "Prison is no place for fighting."

Suddenly, one guard just fell down in the middle of them, everyone stopped what they were doing and looked down at the guard, wondering why he fell off.

The guard on the floor weakly pointed up, "Tell that to him." He said, groaning in pain.

Everyone looked up and saw the Crimson Paw, boots on the metal railing, they jumped down on it and landed perfectly on the floor, even pausing for a cool pose. Then they got up and looked back at the two guards holding Wolf and Snake.

Wolf chuckled, "What?" He was surprised to see the Crimson Paw out here of all places.

Then guards started appearing from all sides, bursting out of every door from the prison, running and yelling towards the Crimson Paw, ready to attack them.

The guard that arrived the closest to the Crimson Paw, held his baton back and slammed it down to the Crimson Paw, but they dodged easily, going right behind the guard as the guard hit the floor with his baton and lost balance, not expecting the Crimson Paw to dodge his attack.

The Crimson Paw ran around the place as another guard tried to attack them with a baton, but once again they dodged the attack, this time jumping high in the air, landing to the floor the guard tried to swing the baton again, once again failing to even grasp the Crimson Paw, they ran back to the other guard who hadn't time to hit them, as the Crimson Paw ran around them and grabbed their black tie, holding it back, they held the guard in place by holding their boot down on their chin, then they started rapidly swinging the boot in both sides of the guard's face, until stopping and kicking the guard in his face, pushing him back to a cell's wall.

A guard used that small window of opportunity, to put him on Crimson Paw's back and put his baton to their neck, trying to restrain them. After a bit of struggle, the Crimson Paw elbowed the guard's waist, the pain was too much for him as he let go of the baton, the Crimson Paw lifted the front of the guard's shirt and put it around his face, blinding him, they easily pushed him to a nearby cell.

The guard from earlier rushed towards the Crimson Paw, baton raised high up, the Crimson Paw easily held her arm and threw her the other way. They ran to another guard trying to approach them, at the last second the Crimson Paw fell to the floor and leg-swiped the guard, making them fall. The Crimson Paw then rolled around the floor to the next incoming guard, they jumped up and landed on the guard's arms, the guard held them confused as the Crimson Paw put their finger to his lips, shushing him. Then they slammed their knee to the side of his face, they held his face with both of their hands and pushed them to the opposing wall, landing near the Bad Guys, they looked at the guard sliding down on the wall, eyes wide open, shocked at the display of the Crimson Paw.

Another guard came running, passing to the side of the Bad Guys, but as they turned to look at the guard, the guard quickly launched the wall near them. Yet another guard tried to fight the Crimson Paw, they dodged every attack, until going to the back of the guard, forcefully putting his arms onto his back and then putting their boot to his back and shoving him to another guard, coming towards them, they collided and fell to the floor.

Another guard came in, but he was prepared as he had two batons, one for each hand, but the Crimson Paw was still superior, kicking every incoming blow from the batons, they jumped up ready to kick the guard in the face, the guard seeing it coming, decided to put his arms around his head ready to protect himself, the Crimson Paw just casually landed back, putting their hand into the guard's belt handle and removing the belt from their pants, the guard looked down and saw his pants sliding down, letting everyone see his white underwear. The guard tried to run away, putting his pants back up as the Crimson Paw kicked him in the butt, launching him into the nearby cell, as his boots fell off near the Crimson Paw. Two other guards watched him fall inside the cell, they were hiding inside of it, mentally uneased on wanting to fight back against the Crimson Paw.

Wolf and Snake shared a look, as the two guards holding them watched fearfully, the Crimson Paw just destroying every other guard in the prison.

"Run!" The guard holding Wolf shouted to the other.

They both ran away as quick as they could heading to the exit, the Crimson Paw kicked the boot near her up in the air, it rolled around itself for a bit until landing on the tip of the Crimson Paw's boot, she threw the boot higher in the air, as she then kicked the boot in the air, launching it the the guard closest to the exit, hitting her in the back of her head, the boot bounced on her head to the other guard's face, they fell to the floor at the exact same time as the boot.

The Crimson Paw then put those two guards inside the cell with the others, as they slided the metal barred door closed, not needing to lock it, knowing the guards wouldn't risk it. They turned to the Bad Guys and slowly approached them, the Bad Guys were starting to back away from them, not knowing what was their intention.

"W-w-wait, wait. Ho-hold on." Wolf tried to verbally stop the Crimson Paw from potentially attacking them.

The Crimson Paw stopped, and then they removed the lower part of their mask that covered their face until their nose, as the Bad Guys were able to have a look at them and then see who the Crimson Paw really was.

They gasped, "Diane?" They all asked in unison.

"But how do you know how to do all of that kick-kick-punch-punch?" Piranha asked Diane, mimicking a double kick and punch.

"Wait a sec, you're the Crimson Paw?" Wolf asked Diane, "The queen of cons, acrobatic Swiss army knife. Stole the Zumpango diamond twice. Once for profit, second time just for fun. Never identified, never caught, never got sighted by the heroic web-crawler."

Diane chuckled, "Guess I'm still the best bad guy the world has ever seen." She then looked down and saw a cut in her arm, "Ugh. At least I used to be."

Unbeknownst to them, Spider-man was watching them from afar, crawling to a wall in the shadows. When Diane told him to just sit back and let her handle the situation of the Bad Guys, he thought she meant the likes of diplomacy, not forceful diplomacy. He decided it was best to jump down, so he did, landing right in between Diane and the Bad Guys.

The Bad Guys backed away, not expecting for Spider-man to show up too. Diane cleared her throat, hoping that Spider-man wouldn't take this revelation too badly.

"Spider-man!" Tarantula was happy to see Spider-man again, "You're here to help us too?" She asked Spider-man.

Spider-man nodded, "Uh, yeah." He then turned to Diane, "But first, I need to wrap my head around a few things."

They stayed silent, as Diane looked at Spider-man like a kid would look to their parents when they did something bad.

"Spider-man!" A guard screamed, putting his arm in between the cell's bars as he pointed to Spider-man, "I knew the rumors were true-"

Spider-man shot a web at the guard's mouth, shutting him up, "Hey, kiddo, let mom and dad talk for a minute, will you?" Spider-man looked back at Diane, "You were the Crimson Paw all along?"

Diane nodded, letting out a small nervous chuckle, "Yeah...I should have told you earlier, but I didn't really know which was the best moment to tell you that." She paused for a bit, and then asked Spider-man, "You're not gonna go against me, right?"

"What? No." Spider-man shook his head, "It's just I'm shocked, I really didn't expect you to be the Crimson Paw, I didn't expect this at all. You really Shyamalaned-me."

The prison's alarm started ringing loudly, as the lights switched off to a flashing red light covering the whole prison's interior. Diane quickly covered the lower part of her face. A door got opened by multiple guards rushing to the middle of the prison.

"Stop right there! You're under arrest!" One guard shouted, pointing his baton to the Bad Guys, Crimson Paw and Spider-man.

Spider-man whispered to Crimson Paw, keeping eye contact with the guards, "What's the next part of the plan?" He asked her.

"Getting us out of here." Crimson Paw whispered, also looking at the guards.

Spider-man whispered to Crimson Paw, "I will distract them, you get out with the others." He then started approaching the guards, he spoke to them putting his hand in front of him, "Don't worry guys, I've got this."

"No." The guard shook his head, "We've got you."

Spider-man lowered his hand, "What?" He asked the guard for an explanation.

The guard explained, "You're under arrest for working with The Bad Guys, and we've got confirmation you're working with the Crimson Paw too. So that makes 2 criminals for the price of 1..." The guard then stopped, and started counting everyone that Spider-man was working with. He corrected himself, "I mean...6 for the price of one."

Crimson Paw put her paw to Spider-man's shoulder, "Don't worry, after this I will help you clear out your name."

Spider-man sighed, "You know, seeing the police hate me, brings me back to the old days."

"Were they good?" Crimson Paw asked Spider-man.

Spider-man chuckled, "Nope."

Then Spider-man shot a web string to the front guard's baton, he pushed the web string back, forcing the guard to let go of the baton as Spider-man caught the baton and kept it in his hand.

"Last warning, guys." Spider-man warned the guards to not fight.

The guard didn't hesitate, "Charge!" He shouted to the other guards.

Every guard started rushing towards Spider-man and Crimson Paw. Spider-man shot a web string up in the wall, he offered his free hand to Crimson Paw, she grabbed his arm and shoulder, and Spider-man jumped up with the help of the web string, the guards stopped running looking up at both of them, Spider-man and Crimson Paw landed in front of the railing, Crimson Paw jumped off the railing, landing her boot into a guard's head, she started jump-walking to the nearest guard's head, hard enough to make them fall down.

One of the guards held their baton back, ready to throw it at the Crimson Paw, she threw the baton, but the Crimson Paw dodged with the help of Spider-man shooting a web string to her back, he jumped towards the opposite railing, as Crimson Paw used the web string to help jump up to that railing. Spider-man crouched down, his back to the railing, as Crimson Paw landed on his knees.

"You just gonna camp there?" A guard asked, angry at their tactics, "Cheaters!"

The Crimson Paw and Spider-man shared a look, ready to prove them wrong. Crimson Paw jumped back, diving to the guards below her, who were not expecting her to jump down so soon, she slammed her back into the guards making them fall like her, a guard rushed to her, ready to attack her while she was down on the floor, but he was quickly stopped when Crimson Paw double kicked his stomach while she was still on the floor.

"This is for you, Bonesaw." Spider-man said, before jumping down to the swarm of guards below him. In the fall, he put his body sideways, elbow down first, he dove down to the swarm of guards as he slammed his elbow to one of them, they all fell from him. Spider-man then got up, seeing a few guards still up, and then were all lined up together, he pointed his hands towards them, and webbed them up to the wall behind them.

The guards were all down, or webbed to a wall, then another group of guards came through the opposing door, it was their turn to fight against Crimson Paw and Spider-man.

"Lots of guards, for such an empty prison." Spider-man pointed out.

"It is the most secure prison in all LA, after all." Crimson Paw pointed out in return.

The guards rushed towards them, Spider-man shot two web strings to the guard leading the charge, the webs got stuck in his legs, Spider-man pushed back the web strings, making the guard lose his balance as he went up and forward, Crimson Paw grabbed him mid-air and threw him to the incoming guards, pushing them back.

But soon enough more guards came, and they surrounded both of them in a circle. Spider-man and Crimson Paw put themselves on each other's back.

Crimson Paw looked back at Spider-man, getting an idea, "I know, put a web to my paw." She told Spider-man.

Spider-man turned to Crimson Paw, "What?" Spider-man asked Crimson Paw for the reason for such a weird request.

"I've got a great plan, you'll love it." Crimson Paw told him to trust her.

Spider-man, still a bit confused, shot a web string to Crimson Paw's...paw. She smiled from under her mask, as she grabbed the web string with both of her paws and started swinging it around, even his spider-sense didn't see it coming, he started getting swung around by the Crimson Paw, the turns were getting quicker as his body was getting slammed to the circle of guards, knocking them back without a way to counter-attack, and soon enough the guards were all down.

Crimson Paw slowly stopped swinging and when the momentum was low enough, she pushed the web string back to her, pushing Spider-man close to her.

"Cool, right?" Crimson Paw asked Spider-man what he thought of the plan, as she removed the web string from her paw.

Spider-man looked down as he pointed a finger up, "Very cool, just not too much of a fan of being one of the victims."

But their discussion got cut short, as another group of guards entered the room from another door. Spider-man looked to his left to an empty cell.

"When you said you would help me clear out my name after this, do you also mean I won't have to repay anything back?" Spider-man asked Crimson Paw.

She looked at him, knowing he was about to destroy something. She shrugged, "Go wild, I was planning to blow up this place if you weren't here." She then detailed, "You know, as a distraction."

"I see." Spider-man nodded, "Well, this too will distract them for a while."

Spider-man turned to face the empty cell, and shot two web strings at the cell's door. He then started pushing them back, after a bit of a struggle he was able to unhinge the door from the cell's bars, he then faced back the guards as he was ready to throw the cell door at them.

The front guard quickly turned her head back to the other guards, "Move back! Now!" She ordered them.

They ran back behind the door they entered through, as Spider-man was waiting for that moment and threw the cell door right in front of the door, the door slammed down near the door, Spider-man let go of the web strings and shot multiple webs all around the cell door, until it was stuck to the wall and door.

The guards tapped on the cell door, trying to remove it, but it was unmoving.

"Move back. Now." One of the guards repeated the words of their front guard with a mocking tone, then they got in an angry tone, "Now, we're stuck!"

The Bad Guys stopped leaning on the wall and joined with Spider-man and Crimson Paw.

"I didn't expect a team up between Spider-man and the Crimson Paw, but I'm not disappointed." Wolf said.

"Yeah, yeah, yeah. You guys are so great. Can we go now, before more of them show up?" Snake asked them.

Crimson Paw nodded, "Right, follow me."

They got out of the prison without too much trouble, considering every guard was either knocked out or behind the barred cell's doors. Outside the prison, they walked up to the dock where Diane's boat was parked to the side of it, they went in the boat, then Diane drove them away from the prison. The Bad Guys looked back at the prison, relieved they didn't spend too much time there.

Diane spoke up, "Safe to say, I'm still the best bad guy."

"Now that I am considered as a bad guy, I would say you've got competition for the top spot." Spider-man said, sitting on the left side of the boat.

"Unlikely." Diane said, "I mean, you never caught me."

"We never met." Spider-man pointed out.

"That's the point." Diane pointed out in return.

Wolf turned to the conversation, "Hey, wh-why did you save us anyway?" Wolf asked both of them.

Diane looked at Wolf, "After the gala, I knew something wasn't right, so I did some investigating, and that meteor..."

Wolf interrupted Diane, "I know. Some kind of cosmic mega-super-antennae thing."

Diane agreed with Wolf and then explained, "Right. If conducted through an array of ionized crystals, it will generate a massive psychokinetic field the size of a city." She stopped, seeing she went a bit too much in the ramble, "Oh my gosh, did I interrupt you? Were you gonna say that?"

Wolf looked to the side, "Uh, I-I was gonna be a little more technical, but you got the gist of it." He turned to Spider-man, "And what about you?"

"Well, if you need to know the details..." Spider-man then pointed to himself, "I'm Spider-man and my job is to save lives."

Tarantula agreed with Spider-man, "Damn right." Then she jumped on his right leg.

Wolf turned back to Diane, "Will you give me a serious answer?" He asked Diane.

"It's simple, he really wants to help you guys, unlike Marmalade." Diane told Wolf.

After a bit more driving, the boat had arrived at shore, Diane had got out of the boat first followed by Wolf, Spider-man and Tarantula.

"Marmalade needs to be stopped, but we can't do it alone." Diane told the Bad Guys, she stopped near the place her car was parked at, "You know his compound better than anyone."

Spider-man put his hand up, "I was there too." He reminded them.

Diane shrugged, "You didn't sleep there."

"Good point." Spider-man agreed with Diane.

"You can count on us." Wolf told Diane, he turned back to the others, "Right, guys?" He asked them.

While Snake, Piranha and Shark did get out of the boat, they were going in a different direction.

"There is no "us."" Snake told Wolf, as he turned back, "We're through, Wolf. Done." Then he copied the French president, Macron's accent, "Finito."

"Because of that little tiff back there?" Wolf asked Snake with a smile, pointing to the prison, "Come on, man, that's what we do. You serve, I volley. That's our little dance."

Snake slightly shook his head, "Not this time." He then started to slither away.

Wolf's smile faded out as he looked at Snake leaving. He looked at Piranha "Piranha?" Piranha gave him an angry stare in response, then he walked away with Snake. Wolf looked at Shark, "Shark?" Shark hesitated, looking back between Snake and Wolf, but then he decided to follow Snake and Piranha, "Guys?" Wolf asked them, but they didn't turn back.

Snake noticed Wolf didn't say Tarantula's name, he looked back and saw she had joined Wolf with the others.

"You want to know why I hate birthdays, Wolf? Do you?" Snake asked Wolf, looking up at him, "When you grow up a snake, nobody shows up to your party. Birthdays are a constant reminder that out there I'm just a scary, good-for-nothing monster." He looked back, making a finger shape with his tail, pointing it up, "But nothing compares to having the one guy...the one guy I thought I could trust stab me in the back." Then he glared at Spider-man, but his words were meant for Tarantula, "What's the point of getting acknowledged by someone who acknowledges everyone? That's not friendship, that's not respect, just business. And I ain't getting fooled by it." He turned back, starting again to slither away, "Come on, guys. Let's get out of here."

Piranha and Shark followed Snake, leaving Wolf and Tarantula behind with Diane and Spider-man.

Back at Angel's apartment, the spider inside of it was chilling in its web up in the ceiling. Suddenly, the left wall of the apartment broke apart, broken leftovers of the wall fell inside the apartment, as fire was starting to spread inside of it. Inside the propagating smoke, a laugh could be heard, the Green Goblin on his glider slowly emerged out of the cloud of smoke.

He stopped laughing, "Huh?" He looked around the apartment and noticed that Angel wasn't inside of it.

He was about to head back, thinking that Angel might be in the Daily Bugle, but then he noticed something that caught his interest, the closet. Its right door was still sort of intact, the mirror on it had a few shattered pieces, the left door was on the floor, and the Green Goblin had his view inside the closet, seeing a particular suit, he jumped down from his glider and walked to the closet.

He grabbed the suit and looked at it further, a simple long sleeve red shirt and blue pants, but what caught his interest was the graded red spider symbol on it, exactly the same as Spider-man's symbol. He looked up and saw the spider on their web, unmoving. He put the pieces together and thought that Angel could be Spider-man.

No. It was too far-fetched, this was just a coincidence, he must probably like Spider-man that's all, how could someone like him be Spider-man? It didn't make any sense.

But then again...

No one would suspect someone like him to be Spider-man, the perfect hideout. If the person behind Spider-man was more ambitious or had a better life, then they wouldn't hide it. There was no doubt in Norman's mind, Angel Maguire was Spider-man.

He turned back to the closet, half of his helmet was shown in the shattered mirror, "He's not just innocent." Norman heard the Green Goblin's voice talk to him.

Norman took off the helmet, grabbing it down with his two hands. He looked down on it as the front of the helmet faced him, "What do I do now?"

"Spider-man is all but invincible. But Maguire, we can destroy him." The voice stopped as Norman looked around at Angel's apartment, small, dirty, broken, "Or imagine if we tamed him. Then Spider-man would join us."

Norman said nothing in response, simply putting the helmet back on his head. He jumped to the glider and flew away.

Then Mr. Ditkovich kicked the door open, he looked around, seeing the miserable state the apartment was left in, "Oh, I will totally add this damage to the rent!" He then looked at the giant gaping hole in the apartment's wall, "But maybe he's got more important issues than this."

Inside Marmalade's mansion, the meteorite was on top of a round machine, in contact with the meteorite the machine threw blue shockwaves at the meteorite as it shined a bright blue, the meteorite expelled faded blue waves. Marmalade turned on a helmet that had two lightbulbs that shined the same blue as the meteorite.

"Now, this is what a true bad guy looks like." Marmalade declared, putting the helmet on top of his head. He waved his hands in front of him to an average guinea pig sitting in a round glass cage. The guinea pig's eyes turned blue as they then got up and started mimicking Marmalade's movements, "What do you say we have some fun?" Marmalade put his hand on the control stick, moving it up to from low to high settings. The shockwaves became more intense and the meteorite shook wildly, Marmalade laughed maniacally as the blue waves reached further out to the entire city.

Every guinea pig from all around the city had their eyes turned blue, they all started leaving their homes, owners and cages, they moved around together in the streets, creating a giant swarm of guinea pigs.

Meanwhile, Diane had just parked her car in front of her house. She looked to her right and saw Wolf leaning his head and arm to the window, still affected from being separated from his friends. Spider-man and Tarantula were sitting in the backseats of the car.

"Hey. You okay?" Diane asked Wolf.

"No, I'm not okay. I'm very, very un-okay." Wolf admitted, "Just left the only friends I have ever had, so what am I...what am I doing?"

"I understand that, Wolf." Spider-man spoke up, "Having to leave everything behind, it's not easy at all. You just have to hang on and continue to move forward."

"Besides, you never know what happens next, this isn't the end of the road, you might not expect it but one day your friends may come around." Diane agreed with Spider-man.

Wolf looked at Diane, "You think?" He asked her.

"Yeah." Diane slightly nodded, "I was the best thief in the world. Fast, fearless, inventive. I just had one thing left to steal."

"The Golden Dolphin." Wolf supposed, "So you went after it."

"I didn't just go after it. I had it." Diane revealed, "And a clear escape route. But...All I saw in the end was the tricky fox that they always told me I was. It changed everything. So, now, instead of hurting people, I'm helping them. I'm still me. I'm just me on the right side. You're doing the right thing," Diane looked back at Tarantula, "both of you. And someday your friends, if they're real friends, I think they'll understand." Diane looked back at Wolf, as she changed the subject, "Now, come on let's get you inside. You two look like you just busted out of a prison."

They chuckled as suddenly a guinea pig fell from out of nowhere and to the top of the car's hood, they gasped as the guinea pig walked up to the car's roof.

"Guinea pigs?" Diane asked, watching the guinea pig walking to the car's roof.

Then it hit them, "Marmalade!" They all said in unison.

"Let's bounce." Wolf told everyone.

Wolf and Diane got out of the car, as Tarantula went for the door's handle, but she stopped when Spider-man spoke to her.

"Hey. Just...you okay, right?" Spider-man asked Tarantula.

Tarantula turned back to Spider-man, giving him a honest smile as she extended her closed palp to him, Spider-man was glad that Tarantula was doing okay, they did a fist-bump and Tarantula crawled to Spider-man's shoulder afterwards, then they got out of the car, joining Wolf and Diane.

Diane unlocked the entrance of her house and entered inside, followed by the others. They looked around the house, it seemed pretty average for the governor and former Crimson Paw.

"So this is the hideout of the great Crimson Paw." Wolf said, he then saw Diane clicking on the microwave's buttons, "Snack break? Okay, oddly timed, but you do you."

Then the fridge slid away, revealing a lift behind where the fridge was before.

"Identity verified. Welcome, Diane." An automated voice spoke through the lift.

Diane went inside the lift, giving space for the others to go in too, the lift started going down as Diane forgot a detail, the music playing in the background was the Spider-man official theme (lift remix.) Everyone turned their heads to Diane as she avoided eye contact with them, chuckling nervously.

"Well...I mean...You know, it's quite catchy." Diane admitted, stuttering a bit.

"You've got great taste." Tarantula told Diane.

Diane was relieved it didn't take too long for the lift to go down, it stopped in a dark room as she stepped out of the lift, the lights inside the room started to light up as the walls on the side slided separately vertically. Everyone looked around in awe at Diane's hideout.

"Whoa! Holy moly!" Wolf said, putting his paws on top of his head.

"Okay, this is awesome!" Tarantula said, looking at all of Diane's gadgets.

"So, you're the Bruce Wayne." Spider-man told Diane.

Diane laughed, "Yep, got my very own Batcave." she stopped, thinking a bit, then pointed her finger up, "Foxcave." She sat, leg crossed, on top of the table at the end of the room, "It's so good to be home."

"Are you kidding me?" Wolf grabbed a grappling hook gun and showed it off to Diane, "Laser-sighted zip line?" Wolf put back the grappling hook gun to the wall and crouched down near a metal box, "The XM-2400 radar jammer? No way."

"I actually prefer the earlier model." Diane admitted.

"Agree to disagree." Wolf said, he then picked up a lipstick, "Uh, this stuff is nice, too."

Wolf was about to roll the top of the lipstick, but Tarantula stopped him, jumping to his shoulder, "Wait!" Wolf looked at Tarantula, she pointed to the lipstick, "I know this one, it's a blowtorch."

Wolf looked back at the lipstick,"What?" he rolled the top of the lipstick, "No way-"

Flames started coming out from the top of the lipstick, Wolf held his head back, it was really a blowtorch.

"Yeah, that's a blowtorch." Diane nodded, "Also, not really your color."

Wolf turned the lipstick the other way and put it back down.

"This is the Ionic Sword." Spider-man said, pointing to the Ionic Sword that was on the wall.

Diane nodded, "Yeah."

"From Oscorp." Spider-man said.

Diane nodded again, "Yeah."

"Which you stole it from." Spider-man said as he turned his head to Diane.

Diane didn't nod immediately, but she gave a slight nod afterwards, "Yeah..."

"Should've known it was you." Wolf said, walking to Spider-man's side.

"I've never used it." Diane revealed.

"You stole it just for fun?" Tarantula asked Diane.

"Yeah. It was quite easy actually." Diane answered, leaning back, "It just proved me how unreliable Oscorp's security was."

"Back when we tried to steal the Golden Dolphin, I hacked their security system in just a few minutes." Tarantula reminded them of the events in the Good Samaritan Awards.

"And let's not forget the whole thing with the Green Goblin." Spider-man added.

Diane nodded in agreement, "Right."

"Would you know anything about him?" Wolf asked Diane if she knew more than them.

Diane thought for a bit, "Except the fact he wants to kill us, not as much as you." Diane replied, then she got off the table, "For now, we should focus on Marmalade."

They all agreed with Diane, walking up to her side.

"All righty, Marmalade. What are you up to, you fuzzy little weirdo?" Diane said out loud, typing on the table, lighting it up and an interface with a keyboard and images.

"Can I just say, you've got a really cool setup." Tarantula told Diane, looking down with interest at the table.

"Thanks." Diane thanked Tarantula, "It's just a bit not user-friendly compared to your average computer. But it is cool."

Tarantula scoffed, "I'm sure I could get used to it."

Diane chuckled, "Who said you could use this?"

"You're right." Tarantula nodded. She then whispered to Wolf, "After this, we definitely gotta steal this."

"Guys, I'm right here." Spider-man told them to calm down on their thieves' antics.

Diane continued to type on the table's keyboard, "We need eyes on the city. Let's see if we can hack into the government's surveillance satellite."

The screen in front of them showed the Earth viewed from space with the satellite all over Los Angeles being highlighted on the screen.

"But you're the governor. Couldn't you just ask?" Wolf asked Diane.

"Yeah, but..." Diane agreed with Wolf, but then spluttered and replied, "The paperwork." After waiting a bit, the screen zoomed to view only the city, it also showed a few circle highlights all over the city, "I am definitely picking up on suspicious activity here. Those are guinea pig heat signatures. Marmalade seems to be controlling them. But to do what? There are no obvious targets."

They started thinking why was Marmalade using all of these guinea pigs, then Tarantula remembered Marmalade told them his goal when they got arrested back at the gala.

Tarantula spoke up, "Marmalade told us he wanted to make the greatest heist in history, maybe he's moving these guinea pigs all around where there's lots of cash."

"He did receive lots of funds for his charity." Wolf reminded them of Marmalade's charity fundraiser.

"So, he's gonna steal the money raised in his own name?" Diane asked them.

"It's the greatest heist the world's ever seen." Wolf was sure stealing the charity's funds was Marmalade's plan, "$1 billion inside trucks, on their way to charities all over the city."

"We need to cut off Marmalade's communication with his guinea pig army." Diane declared.

"If there's no signal..." Spider-man started saying.

"There's no heist." Tarantula finished Spider-man's phrase.

"We have to steal the meteorite." They all said in unison.

"That was very cute, that thing we all just did there." Wolf smiled, leaning his arm to the table.

Then Diane threw Wolf a black suit, he caught it as Diane said, "Put on your big-girl pants. We're gearing up."

"Without me." Spider-man said.

Diane threw him a black suit too, "Hold on, you too."

"I'm already geared up." Spider-man pointed out, trying to give the suit back.

"We'll need to be prepared to infiltrate Marmalade's base." Diane told Spider-man it was important to put that suit on.

"I'm good at infiltration." Spider-man said, showing the suit to Diane again.

Diane lightly shoved the suit back to Spider-man, "I suppose so. But let's not take any chances with that bright red and blue suit of yours."

Spider-man sighed, "Fine."

Diane turned to Tarantula, who was on top of the table, "Now for you..."

"If you don't mind, you could give me half a sleeve." Tarantula told Diane.

Diane nodded, "Okay, let's see." Then she took one of her suits from the wall and ripped one of the sleeves out and put it on the table, "There you go."

Spider-man had just finished putting the suit on, hood included, as only his spider-suit's gray eyes were visible, "I don't look good in these."

"Says the guy dressed up as a spider." Wolf told Spider-man, putting his suit's hood on his head.

Tarantula looked up at Wolf, pointing up at him with a piece of the sleeve in her palp, "Hey! His suit is cool." Tarantula disagreed with Wolf.

"I appreciate it. Positive feedback is always nice." Spider-man thanked Tarantula for the nice comment about his suit.

Wolf rolled his eyes, "All right, Spidey. You look nice in those."

Spider-man then saw Diane putting the Ionic Sword to her back handle.

"I thought you said you didn't use that sword." Spider-man told Diane.

Diane looked back at the sword, "I won't use it. It just looks cool."

"I would say it's impractical, but I can't deny it does look cool, so I won't complain." Wolf admitted.

"Yeah." Spider-man agreed with Wolf.

Wolf scratched his chin, pensive, then pointed his finger up, proposing an idea to Spider-man, "So think about a spider-sword-"

Spider-man interrupted him, "Did you ever see a Bat-sword?" He asked Wolf.

"I know the bat-ladder exists." Wolf told Spider-man.

"What's your deal with Batman?" Diane asked both of them.

Wolf and Spider-man shared a look with each other, then looked back at Diane, shrugging in response.

"It's done." Tarantula declared, her suit looked exactly like her old hoodie, minus the logo, "And I even made pockets with the leftovers." She put her palps inside the front pockets.

Diane saw that Tarantula had used the entire sleeve, "Not any waste, huh? Nice." She put her paw in front of the table and Tarantula jumped on it, then she crawled up to Diane's shoulder.

Diane made the last preparations, taking with her the grappling hook gun.

Wolf looked at her grappling hook gun, "I wouldn't take that. Those things rip your pants right off." He advised Diane against using it.

"Yeah, you gotta be careful with those. You don't want that to end up in the back end of a one-liner joke." Spider-man agreed with Wolf.

Diane rolled the gun in her paw, "Huh. Next time, try wearing clean underwear. Just in case."

Then the entire left wall slided down, as they saw Wolf's car was in Diane's garage.

"Wha..." Wolf was shocked to see his car in Diane's garage, "You stole my car?" He jumped on the car's hood, happy to be reunited with his car, and looked back at Diane, "Respect."

Everyone got inside Wolf's car.

"Let's do this." Wolf declared, pressing the accelerator pedal.

The car sped through the garage, going up the ramp, and in the end of the ramp it jumped up and out of the garage as Wolf drifted back to the road and drove in the direction of Marmalade's mansion.

Meanwhile, Snake, Piranha and Shark were in their hideout's lift, waiting for it to arrive at the base. This time no background music was playing, they just stared down in complete silence.

The lift stopped as the doors slid open, and the Bad Guys realized in horror that their base was empty, everything they stole through the years was gone, they couldn't contain their gasp.

"All our stuff?" Piranha asked in disbelief.

They all started running all around the hideout, to confirm their fearful doubts that everything they had was now gone.

"Where is everything?" Snake asked, looking around the hideout.

"No, no, no, no, no." Piranha repeated in panic.

"It's all gone." Snake exclaimed, realizing that their stuff was indeed gone.

"My disguise closet!" Shark jumped back from seeing his disguise closet being with only empty hangers.

Snake thought about why their stuff suddenly disappeared, then he remembered back at the gala Wolf had written something on his tie and gave it to Diane, maybe he had written the address of their hideout.

"Wolf gave away all our loot." Snake revealed to the others, He tapped his tail to himself, "We stole it fair and square."

"Now I understand what it feels like to have things stolen from you." Piranha said, sitting angrily on a box, he breathed rapidly, "I don't like it! I really don't like it!"

Snake slithered to the fridge, looking up at the pictures they took over the years, he couldn't believe that after all these years, all these memories slipped past Wolf and Tarantula's mind to just betray them for a quest of goodness, these pictures were a reminder things won't go back to the way they were before.

Snake opened the freezer, hoping there would be at least something in there. To his surprise, it wasn't empty, a single push pop was laying on the freezer, Snake grabbed the push pop with his tail.

"We got no food. We got no money." Shark said, sobbing, "We got no money we could use to buy food. No food we can sell for money. We..." He stopped as his sobs turned into tears as he cried from their situation getting worse and worse by each passing second.

Snake closed the freezer's door, looked back at Shark and sighed, "All right, okay, okay." Snake slithered towards Shark, "Here, here. Take it." He put the push pop to Shark's hand and moved his arm so that the push pop would be close to Shark's mouth. Shark started eating the push pop, Snake slithered away, "Now, stop crying, buddy."

Piranha kept staring at Snake, not believing what he just witnessed, "Snake, what did you just do?" He asked Snake.

Snake opened the fridge's door, "What? My friend was sad. I was just cheering him up."

Shark put the push pop out of his mouth, "You...you did a good thing." He pointed to himself with a smile, "For me."

Snake looked back annoyed at Shark, "Don't be ridiculous. I just put your needs before my own."

"Si, you're being good." Piranha told Snake.

"I'm not." Snake denied it, he then explained, "I was simply making a sacrifice so Shark could be happy."

Piranha waved his hands, frustrated that Snake didn't get it, "My hermano from another father and mother, that is the actual definition of being good."

Shark pointed his push pop at Snake, "Snake, you, the worst one of us, the most selfish. Terrible."

"Sneaky." Piranha added.

"Insensitive." Shark added too.

"Snakelike." Piranha added more.

"Stanky." Shark added more too.

Snake just stared at them, still annoyed, "And your point is?" He asked them.

"This is the craziest thing I'm gonna say, but maybe Wolf and Tarantula were right." Piranha said, he got up from the box, "Maybe we could be more than just scary villains."

Shark nodded in agreement with Piranha, "That is crazy." He waved a finger up, "But also logical." Then his fin started wagging from side to side, "Wha..."

Piranha saw that his hair-fin was wagging too, "Man, I'm wagging!" He pointed at his fin with a huge smile on his face.

Snake then noticed that his tail was wagging too, from just an instance he actually thought back at Wolf and Tarantula's words and that maybe they were right, maybe they could turn good, but that was just for a second. He showed his sharp teeth at his tail, grunting at it.

"no, no, no!" He shouted not wanting to wag anymore as he rolled around his tail to stop it, "We'll always be Bad Guys!" He screamed in anger as he slammed the fridge's door closed, every picture on the fridge falling down to the floor, the only picture that stayed on was the one they took at Snake's birthday.

Snake slithered to the lift, not giving any attention to Shark and Piranha that were concerned about him, the lift's door closed as Snake thought that the only thing he was good at was being bad.

On the streets, multiple trucks were going from all around the city to deliver the money gained from the charity fundraiser, but it didn't go as planned. As an armada of guinea pigs, strategically took control of the trucks, kicking the driver's out and driving the truck away from their original destination.

At Marmalade's mansion, Marmalade was watching the security footage, seeing the guinea pigs steal the trucks one by one, he laughed maniacally as Cuddles sat on the back, giving a few silent claps at the success of Marmalade's plan.

But right outside the mansion, Wolf, Diane, Spider-man and Tarantula had arrived. Wolf parked the car close to the mansion.

Diane slided the door's window down, having a clear view of Marmalade's mansion, "Once we steal the meteorite, we take it straight to the police." Diane told them what they would do with the meteorite once they took it.

"And all will be forgiven." Wolf added.

Diane wasn't so sure that all of their crimes would be forgiven, "I don't know about "all", but it's a start."

They got out of the car and went up to the car's roof. They had planned Spider-man would swing to Marmalade's mansion with the others on his back. So, once everyone was on the roof, Wolf, Diane and Tarantula jumped on his back.

He shot a web string up and jumped off the car's roof, swinging in the air to reach Marmalade's mansion, Tarantula was enjoying every second of this ride in the back of Spider-man. They arrived at the mansion as Spider-man landed on top of the roof.

Wolf opened the roof hatch door, they slowly went down the room, Wolf, Diane and Tarantula slided down with the help of a rope for each of them, as Spider-man used his own web as a rope. They landed down on the machine as they looked up at the meteorite being charged with shockwaves, except Wolf. He looked to the side, seeing the Golden Dolphin on top of a pedestal.

"That's strange." Wolf said, tilting his head to the side, "Why would Marmalade leave the Golden Dolphin unprotected?"

"I mean the mansion is already protected." Spider-man pointed out.

Outside the mansion, two guinea pigs, dressed in a black suit with sunglasses, were guarding the front gate, each with their own shotgun twice their size.

"Or maybe it's a trap." Diane knew this was a trap.

Wolf approached the Golden Dolphin, reaching out his paws to it, "Or maybe..."

The moment Wolf touched the tip of the Golden Dolphin, the room got filled with electricity, hitting everyone inside the room, quickly rendering them unconscious from the shock for a while.

Shortly after they had woken up in another dark room, they were all tied up to a rope, hanging upside down.

"Yeah, it was a trap." Wolf said, avoiding the angry glares from the others as he realized the Golden Dolphin was a trap.

Tarantula sighed, "And now we look like amateurs."

"Well, well, well." They looked down, seeing Marmalade in front of them, his hands together, "If it isn't my prized pupils. And you've brought along Spider-man and the Governor." He paused as he looked at Diane, "Or should I say...The Crimson Paw?" Marmalade got out Diane's ring, "What an ingenious way to disguise a Zumpango diamond." He took out the diamond from the ring, "Hiding it in plain sight."

"You got to be kidding me." Wolf said, looking at Diane.

Diane tried to shrug, "What? I'm sentimental."

"You always did have panache. And yet, you still fell right into my trap." Marmalade put the diamond in his pocket.

"But how did you know we'd even be here?" Wolf asked Marmalade.

"Oh, I got a little tip from a friend." Marmalade revealed.

The doors behind Marmalade slided open, as everyone saw that Marmalade's friend was Snake.

"Hey, everyone." Snake slithered to the room to Marmalade's side, "How's it hanging?"

"Snake." Wolf couldn't believe Snake would betray them.

"And we're the traitors?" Tarantula asked Snake.

"You stab me in the back, I stab you in the back." Snake said. Then he put his tail close to his lips, pensive, "I'm sure there's an expression for it..."

"Sprinkler gets sprinkled?" Spider-man supposed.

"Ah, yes that. Thank you." Snake thanked Spider-man for the help, "I still hate you though."

Spider-man nodded in agreement, "I understand."

"You gonna do this just for what happened earlier?" Tarantula asked Snake.

"What else is there to say?" Snake put his tail around Marmalade's shoulder, "We just clicked."

"Oh yeah? How's it feel to be working for your favorite food?" Wolf asked Snake.

"Ah, you're just jealous to be missing out on the heist of the century." Snake put his face close to Wolf, "It's got everything: Betrayal, a meteor, mind control." Snake went back down and looked at Marmalade, pointing to his helmet, "Can I try it on?"

"Of course, partner." Marmalade took out his helmet and gave it to Snake.

Snake put the helmet on his head, "Nice. All the crime with none of the exercise." He then started using it for a bit.

Wolf looked back at Marmalade, "What about all that "flower of goodness" talk? Was it all just a lie?" He asked Marmalade.

"Uh, pretty much, yeah." Marmalade nodded, "You see, I never cared about what's "good."" Then he pointed to himself, "Only what's good for me. Like, say, a billion dollars." he paused as he looked down and waved his finger up, "But my plan for my own goodness doesn't end here. You see, when you're so good that everyone loves you, then..." He looked up at Diane, "You can even influence people in power."

"Don't tell me..." Diane was about to say.

But Marmalade interrupted her, "Yes, I tell you that everything I told you was to influence your choices as Governor." He then explained, "At first I thought you were just naive, but now it all makes sense. You're just trying to redeem yourself of your past faults, wanting to do good by all means necessary." Marmalade paused, watching in delight Diane glaring at him, "But I suppose now, you won't listen to a word I say, oh well, I will find someone else to fill your shoes, this whole Governor being the Crimson Paw helps me find a way to get you off without any controversy." Then he looked at Spider-man, "And you..."

"What about me?" Spider-man asked Marmalade about his involvement.

"I used you for..." Marmalade paused dramatically, he then proudly showed off, "Getting more followers on all of my social media accounts."

Spider-man raised an eyebrow behind his mask, "Seriously?" He asked Marmalade.

"Yeah." Marmalade nodded, "It is a well known rule the more followers you have, the more every single of your words become facts." He waved his finger at Spider-man, "Also, you may have noticed the people changed their views on you."

"You were behind it." Spider-man declared.

"Yeah." Marmalade nodded again, then he walked closer to Spider-man, "Right now, I could easily tear off that mask of yours, and show the world the true identity of Spider-man, but I don't need to do that. I'll make up an identity for you. I made it so the public sees you as an accomplice of the Bad Guys, now let's see what they think of you..." Marmalade then got out his phone and went to Twitter, reading the tweets about Spider-man, ""Spider-man used to make me safe. Now I'm afraid to walk from home to work.", "My son thought the word of this guy.", "I have a daughter, loves Spider-man. Who's she supposed to look up to?", "This is the guy supposed to be on Marmalade's level of goodness?", "Get ratioed, Spider-man."" Marmalade then put his phone back to his pocket, "You get the idea."

Spider-man shrugged, "That kind of thing is normal on Twitter." He wasn't affected much by the comments.

"The #Spidermanshouldbearrested is top trending worldwide." Marmalade revealed.

"Okay, this is serious." Now Spider-man was affected by them.

"Soon enough, your whole reputation will be destroyed, the people will question your vigilante status, you will be a wanted man and no amount of proof will save you. Because it's you against the world, and when the world hates you, there's no going back." Marmalade explained.

"Smart." Snake complimented Marmalade's plan, looking down at him.

Marmalade's whole body shook, he enjoyed the sensation as he rubbed his body, "Ooh, I just got a tingle from my genius plan."

Marmalade and Snake walked out of the room, they stopped behind the door.

Snake looked down at Marmalade, showing his tail to him, "Go bad..."

Marmalade fist-bumped Snake's tail, "...Or go home." Marmalade then looked back at Cuddles, still inside the room, "Cuddles, finish them."

They walked away as the doors closed, Cuddles was standing in front of a control panel, he put his hand on a lever, ready to pull it down.

"Cuddles, buddy." Spider-man tried to reason with Cuddles, "Don't do this, I know we never talked much, but we had such good chemistry, right? So, let us go, okay?"

Cuddles hesitated for a moment, thinking back at all the good moments he spent with Spider-man. For example, when they waved at each other when they first met, and...that's it. Hold on, they never had any chemistry at all. Cuddles pulled the lever down without any remorse.

Wolf, Diane, Tarantula and Spider-man started going down as the trap doors below them started sliding open, revealing multiple spinning blades. They screamed as they started to try and get out of certain demise, except Spider-man.

Spider-man was still looking at Cuddles, "Well, I tried to warn you."

Spider-man then easily cut the rope he was tied to, and landed down near the opened trap door, the others looked at Spider-man, surprised that he got out, as Cuddles gasped silently, leaning back. Without any more wasted time, he shot a web at Cuddles, gluing him to the wall behind him.

"Wha...How did you do that?" Diane asked Spider-man how he got out of the rope.

"Guys, I'm Spider-man." Spider-man reminded them.

Wolf nodded, "That makes sense."

"I should have never doubted you!" Tarantula exclaimed.

Spider-man saw they were still going down, "Just hang on." He said as he ran to the control panel.

"I don't really want to do that." Diane admitted.

Spider-man looked back, "Yeah, sorry. Very poor choice of words." He then grabbed the top of the lever and pulled it up. The blades stopped spinning, as the others weren't going down anymore. Spider-man helped them out of the ropes and they landed down.

They didn't have time to enjoy this small victory as the doors behind them slided open, they turned back to the opened door and saw the Green Goblin standing menacingly behind it.

"Marmalade's plan failed, it was pathetically predictable." Green Goblin, seeing that they were still alive.

"You work with him?" Wolf asked Green Goblin.

"Yes, but soon enough I will kill him, so it won't matter." Green Goblin answered, He tilted his head down a bit, "Just like all of you."

Spider-man put himself in front of the others, "Guys, go!"

"What? No way." Tarantula refused to leave Spider-man alone.

"We're not leaving you alone with him." Wolf agreed with Tarantula.

"I've always done this sort of thing alone." Spider-man reminded them, "You guys just go get the meteor."

They hesitated for a bit to leave him alone to fight the Green Goblin.

Diane was the first to agree with Spider-man's plan, "Okay, but we're coming back for you after we're finished."

Spider-man chuckled, "Nope, I'm coming back for you."

Considering the Green Goblin was blocking the only exit, they went to the vent. Wolf removed the vent lid as they got inside of it.

Before going inside the vent, Diane looked back at Spider-man as she took out an earphone from her pocket, she spoke up to Spider-man as she threw the earphone to him, "Catch." He caught the earphone mid-air and looked at it, as Diane told him, "Just as a precaution."

Spider-man looked at Diane, "Thanks." He then urged her to go, "Now go."

Diane went inside the vent and followed Wolf and Tarantula. They crawled in the vents in silence for a bit.

"You think he's gonna be fine?" Tarantula asked them, worried about Spider-man.

"Of course, come on, Webs, you should know he got this." Wolf told Tarantula to not worry about Spider-man.

Tarantula did agree with him, but she still said, "I just wish I could help him."

"For now, we help him by getting the meteor." Diane told Tarantula.

Wolf agreed with Diane, "Right-" Then he stopped as he hit his muzzle to something, "What?" he looked in front of him as his eyes grew wide open, "Guys!" He exclaimed with a smile once he saw Shark and Piranha.

Shark and Piranha didn't expect for Wolf and Tarantula to be the ones to find them, "Er...Surprise?" Piranha said with uncertainty.

"I can't believe it's you." Tarantula said, happy to see Shark and Piranha again.

"We felt the wag, man." Shark said, as his fin was wagging.

"And the tingle." Piranha added, his fin wagging too.

Wolf winked at them, "It's good, right?"

"Feels like I got a rhythm section in my fin." Shark said, and then he started beatboxing as Piranha danced to his side.

Diane appeared behind Wolf and Tarantula, "I don't wanna break the heartwarming reunion, but we've got to go right now."

Wolf agreed with Diane, "Right, it's time to huff and puff and blow this little piggy's heist down."

They all agreed it was time to move on.

"Game over, guinea pig." Tarantula declared, as they then started to crawl in the vents to the room where the meteorite was.

Shark and Piranha did notice that Spider-man wasn't with the others anymore.

"By the way, where's Spider-man?" Shark asked the others.

"He's fighting against the Green Goblin." Wolf answered.

Shark nodded, "Oh I see."

Then he and Piranha looked back at Wolf, asking in unisson, "What?!"

"Oh boy, Spider-man is crazy too." Piranha added.

At the same time Marmalade and Snake were walking in the hallway, going for the room with the meteorite.

"With this meteorite, we will be able to commit crimes people have only dreamed about." Marmalade explained to Snake what they could do with the meteorite.

"Not bad for a butt rock." Snake admitted.

Marmalade sighed, annoyed at this constant joke, he pressed the button to open the doors as he corrected Snake, "Once again, it's not a..." He stopped and gasped once he saw the Bad Guys with Diane having the meteorite on the back of their car.

"Don't mind us." Wolf told them to not panic, "Just robbing this place."

Then he started driving the car off with the meteorite, as Marmalade and Snake moved out of the way.

"No, no, no!" Marmalade screamed, running behind the car that was rapidly taking distance from him.

Wolf drove the car out of the inside of the mansion as then he pressed the brake pedal, suddenly stopping the car, the others looked at him confused as to why he stopped. He then drove back to the backyard, near the palm tree the cat was on top of.

Wolf got out to the car's roof, extending his arms up to the cat, "Here, kitty, kitty, kitty, kitty."

The cat didn't hesitate to jump down to Wolf's arms. He went back inside and sat the cat in a specially designed seat for them, Tarantula gave a few scratches behind the cat's ear as Wolf got out a pair of sunglasses, giving it to the cat. And then they went back on the road.

The car crashed to the mansion's gate, exiting for once and for all Marmalade's mansion as the Bad Guys now had the mission to bring the meteorite back to the police.

Spider-man was still inside the mansion, waiting for Green Goblin to move, but he just stood there, staring at him.

"You're a patient fella." Spider-man told the Green Goblin.

"I was hoping we could be alone." Green Goblin told Spider-man why he was waiting.

Spider-man nodded, "Oh, you wanna ask me out?" He asked The Green Goblin.

"I call it more of a...partnership." The Green Goblin answered, "You and me, we work together in taking over this city."

"You know my answer is gonna be no." Spider-man pointed out that he would never switch sides.

"Oh I know Spider-man will never join me..." The Green Goblin said, he then pointed at Spider-man, "But you, Angel, you might listen to reason." Or the person behind the suit.

Spider-man just stood there, shocked that The Green Goblin knew who he really was, the Green Goblin laughed from the lack of response from Spider-man.

Even Spiders could get caught in a web.
