"I'm not swinging to the Hudson Valley, kids.
Not after a hearty burger breakfast. Keep your legs fresh. You're gonna thank me later."
Peter said as we ride a bus to the lab. After getting off of the bus, we run into the woods and start to suit up.

Once we took off our normal clothes and showed our suits that were hidden beneath, Peter looks over at Miles and noticed a yellow cape on his back.
"And it's a no on the cape." He said. "I think it's cool." Miles said then he looks over at me. "This looks cool, right Y/n?" He asks me. "Well... it's not hot, I'll tell you that." I say but Peter snatches the cape off of him. "Take that off. It's disrespectful. Spider-Man doesn't wear a cape." He said.

"Oh, but last time I checked, Spider-Man does not wear sweatpants." I said as I point to the pants Peter was wearing. "Hey, it's all I got right now, okay!" Parker said and I fold my arms across my chest. "Oh yeah. Mhm, sure." I muttered.

Then I pull my inhaler out, and take that long puff. "I'm sorry." I say as through my deep breaths. "I gotta do this six times." I say, now on my third breath. "Just a Moment longer, guys." I wheeze as I'm on my fifth breath, and take my sixth. "Okay, I'm good." I say and exhale deeply.

"So how do we retrace Peter's steps?" Miles asked Peter as we hide behind a large boulder on the hill in front of the lab. "That's a good question." Peter said and he kneels down while Miles and I kneel down next to him.
"What would I do if I were me?" He asked as he gets into the thinking position, Miles and I copying him as we watch. "Got it. Step One: I infiltrate the lab. Two: Find the head scientist's computer." He said.

"That lady with the bike is the head scientist.
We saw her in this documentary at school."
Miles said. "Cool! Step Three: I reexamine my personal biases. Step Four: I hack the computer." He said. "That is not hacking." I corrected. "Not now. Hold on, I just lost my train of thought. Step Five: Download the important stuff. I'll know it when I see it. Step Six: I grab a bagel from the cafeteria and run." He said then he goes to stand up and stretch his legs against a tree.

"So, what are we doing?" Miles asked as he gestures between me and him. "Step Seven:
You two stay here. Both of you are lookouts.
Very important." Peter said as he stretches out the rest of his body. "Look, man. You gotta teach me how to do Spider-Man stuff or I won't be able to help." Miles said. "And I'm actually capable. I mean, I don't wanna help, but why won't you let me?" I say with a raised brow.
"Just Watch and learn, kids! I'll quiz ya later!" Peter said as he web swings away from us and towards the lab.

"Why did we get stuck with the janky, old, broke hobo Spider-Man?!" Miles asked and I shrugged as Miles elbows the boulder, putting a crack in the boulder. "Wow!" I said, shocked. "That's new." Miles said then we heard a truck driving up. We look up and saw Kingpin exit out of the truck and head into the lab. "Kingpin." Miles and I gasped then we ducked down. Miles looks at me and nods. "I mean... should we? Peter did tell us to stay out here. You know, I really don't wanna make the same mistake by not listening to him the first time." I say sheepishly. "It'll be fine." Miles says and starts to the lab, and I anxiously follow after him.

"What are we doing? What are we doing?
What are we doing? What are we doing?' I muttered to myself as we sneak up to the roof.
Miles found a door and opens it. "Ladies first!" He whispers to me. "Aawww, so nice." I said and I jump down in a vent. Miles jumps down and lands, roughly, in the vents. "Calm down!" I whisper yell. Through the grates, I see Kingpin walking underneath the vents but stops when Miles landed.

I push him back and moved away from the grates, so that Kingpin couldn't see us. Finally, he moves and I let out a sigh of relief. Then I look over to Miles and realized we were real close to each other. "Sorry." Both of us said at the same time and ny face felt like it was on fire before we start to crawl our way through the vent.

"Peter! Peter! Peter!" Miles whisper calls as we crawl through the vent until we meet up with him halfway. "Peter!" We said. "What are you two doing here?" Peter asked us as he turns his head to us. "Kingpin's here. Just move over." I said as Miles and I start to squeeze through.

"You're steppin' on my foot. Go back outside." Peter said. "No! We can't sit there and let Spider-Man die without doing anything about it." Miles said to him. "And you've gotta be crazy if you think we're gonna let that happen again." I said and Peter looks at us, his eyes widen. "What?" We asked. "Most people I meet in the workplace try to kill me, so you two are a nice change of pace." He replied then we heard a voice.

"Mr. Fisk!" A woman's voice echoed and we look through the grate and see that woman from the documentary walking under us and towards Kingpin. "Look at this data. I know you can't really understand it, but these are really good numbers." She said and she types on her computer.

"And I got the password." Parker said and Miles and I look at him, pretty impressed. She was typing a lot, and very fast.

"Mr. Fisk. If we fire again this week there could be a black hole under Brooklyn. You see this? And this? This is multiple dimensions beginning to crash into each other." The woman said as she shows him her computer screen. Peter raised up his right hand and mimics someone talking and I had to purse my lips to stop myself from laughing.

"This is pretty standard Spider-Man stakes.
You get used to it. Watch this. He's gonna say,
You've got 24 hours." Peter said. "You've got 24 hours." Kingpin said and Peter winks at us. "What this means is there could be a rupture in the space-time continuum." The woman said as her and Kingpin leave the room. "Ooh. That's bad." Peter said. "Correction, everything she said was bad." I said. "Yeah, I was lying before." He said and I scoff quietly. Peter climbs down from the vent and goes over to the computer and starts typing.

"Hold on. Let me get you some more data."
We hear the woman say as Miles climbs out of the vent and sticks to the lights. "What are you doing, bud?" Peter asked him. "I can't move."
Miles said as he tries to unstick from the lights. "Okay, relax yourself. Pretend this isn't even happening. Or, actually, be in the moment with it." I say, calmly. "I am in the moment. It's a terrible moment!" Miles said as he tries to shake off from the lights.

"Miles, they are right there. They're gonna see you." I said. "Miles, you gotta unstick. What do you do to relax?" Peter asked. "Relax.
Okay, okay, okay." Miles said and he takes a deep breath. "Needless to say, I...uh-eh.... callin' it quits now, baby I'm a wreck." He sings, most words coming out as a mumble, but his fingers start to unsick. "Oh, for crying out loud." Parker said as he places his hands over his face. "Dude." I say, a smile on my face as I try not to laugh. "Oooh- AAH!" His hands and feet unstuck and he fell on a table underneath him. Him falling on it knocked the table over and everything on it.

"Teenagers: just the worst." Peter mutters as I jump down but couldn't see Miles anywhere.
"Miles, where are you?" I ask out loud. "I'm right here." Miles replied as Peter and I looked around. "Where? We can't see ya."
Peter said. "I'm right in front of you." He said and we stopped and looked in front of us but we couldn't see him.

"Can Spider-Man turn invisible?" Miles asked. "Not in my universe." Peter said. "Whaa? I can't do that." I said as Peter pokes at the air in front of him and for a moment we see Miles' face before he goes invisible again. "Aah! You just poked me in my eye!" He exclaims. "This is incredible. Some kind of fight or flight thing." Peter said just as I heard footsteps.

"What's that?" I ask and we look towards the tinted windows and see the lady coming back to the room. "Remember this password. D-G-F-A-M-P-E-S-A-N-D-4-5-3-5-8-7-6-5-3-4-5-
4-5-3-5." Parker started to say, quickly.
"Are you serious!" I said.
"I need to write it down!" Miles said at the same time.

"Download the schematic." Peter said as he hands me a USB. "And how do we do that?" I ask but he ignores the question and said.
"While I turn on the charm." He said. "Dude!" I said but gasped as the woman starts to come up the door. I dive behind the desk and so does Miles and his shoulder bumps into mine.

"Spider-Man?" The woman asked as she enters the room. "Oh, hey. Didn't see you there." Peter said. "Wow. Okay, I'm kinda freaking out right now. You're supposed to be dead." She said. "Surprise!" He said and she goes up to him and pulls up his mask. "Okay. That's a no-no. We don't like that." He said and I make a small frown as that was one of the last things our Peter said before he died.

"This is fascinating." The woman said as she grabs his face. "Okay, that's my face." He said as Miles starts to type in the password. "An entirely different Peter Parker. Little bit of a gut, perhaps from dimensional warping." She said as she pats his belly. "Oh, yeah-yeah-yeah. I was way flatter before I warped. Travel through the multiverse appears to have deteriorated the.." he started to say when Miles asked. "What was the rest?!"

I pull out from under the desk, slowly stand up to the computer and quickly typed the rest of the password as the woman said. "They said I was crazy! You showed 'em you're not crazy." She said and she leads him to another part of the room and took some of his blood and examines it. "Okay." I said once I put in the last part of the password and it takes us to a desktop with thousands of files. I put my hand over my mouth as I laugh quietly in disbelief. "Organize your desktop, lady." Miles said. "Are you kidding me. Look at this!" I whisper.

"Wow. Just complete cellular decay. I've never seen anything like this." The woman said as Miles starts to carry the whole computer.
"Miles!" I said in a whisper. "What are you doing?" Peter asked him in a whisper. "I'm just taking the whole thing." Miles said.
"And obviously you've been glitching." The woman said as she turns to Peter. "Glitchin'?
No." Parker replied and just in time he starts to glitch. "Why would you even say that?" He asked then he stops glitching.

"If you stay in this dimension too long, your body's gonna disintegrate. Do you know how painful that would be, Peter Parker?" She asked him. "I don't know." He replied. "You can't imagine. And I, for one, can't wait to watch." She said and Miles stops as I look over at Peter and the woman in shock.

"What did you say your name was?" Peter asked her. "Dr. Olivia Octavius." She replied as she stands up and removes her coat, revealing an outfit and four mechanical arms coming out of her back. "Oh damn!" I said in a harsh whisper. "Can I assume that your friends call you Doc Ock?" Peter asked her as one of the mechanical arms grabs him by the throat and pins him to the ground.

"My friends actually call me Liv. My enemies call me Doc Ock." She said. "I got this! Run!" Peter yells at us and he shoots a web at a hand scanner, opening a door. "Who are you talking to?" She asked and Miles begins to run but I stay hiding. "I got it!" I hear Peter shout as Miles leaves but I take a deep breath then jump up from behind the desk and shot some webs at Doc Ock.

"What's up, guys? Sorry I'm late!" I shout as some webs attached to her and I pull the web, slamming her down to the ground. "I told you to run! I had it!" Peter said as the arm let's go of him. "That's a fat lie. If not for me, you'd be flat on your ass right about now." I said as she starts to get up. "Let's go!" Peter said. "A Spider-girl? Well, you didn't tell me you've brought some friends!" She said as we start to run and meet up with Miles in the hallway.

"Let me tell you the good news. We don't need the monitor." Peter said to him as he tosses the monitor. "Peter!" Miles said as one of Doc Ock's arms comes up and grabs him and tosses him.

"Could you give me that back, young man?"
Doc Ock asked and Miles and I began to run. "Peter!" Miles shouts when I felt something hit my arm and I grab Miles and we were pulled by Peter with his web. "It's proprietary." Doc Ock said as we slide under her and towards Peter. We run just as a door shuts on one of her mechanical arms then make it towards what looked like the cafe area.

"Oh. This'd be a good time to turn invisible." Peter said as we stood there. "Yep." Miles said but he just stands there. "Okay, not gonna turn invisible." Peter said then he turns to a plate full of bagels. "Selecting a bagel." He said then grabs one and the three of us start to walk along the cafe, and there was literally so many people around. "Act super normal." Parker said.

"Spider-Man?" One of the scientists asked.
"You know, that's funny, I get that a lot." Peter said. "Hey." Miles greets in this fake deep voice, and I wave. "Spider-Man? Hey!
Hands up!" One scientist said as all of them start to pull out weapons. "Now we do a switchy-switchy." Parker said as he hands
Miles the bagel then grabs the computer and runs.

"Get back here! Where do you think you're going?" One of them asked as we run after Peter and out towards the balcony. And while we were running out, Miles threw the bagel at someone and it actually hit the man on the head. "Alright, time to swing, just like I taught ya." Peter said. "When did you teach me that?" Miles asked. "I didn't. It's a little joke for team-building." Peter said as he hands him a web shooter to Miles. "Hey!" Miles shouts as he almost drops the web shooter but grabs it.

"All right, you ready?" Peter asked us. "Of course I'm not ready!" Miles said and I nod and the three of us started to web sling out of the lab. "I can't do this yet!" Miles shouts. "Everybody knows that the best way to learn is under intense life-threatening pressure." Peter said. "What do you mean?!" I ask just as I see Miles hitting a tree and fall.

"Miles!" I shout as I swing over to him and catch him before he hits the ground. "How do you do this?!" Miles asked me as he holds up the shooter. "Aim with your hips! Look where you want it to hit. Square your shoulders.
Don't forget to follow through! Don't shoot off your back foot." I say to him. "That's too many things!" He shouts as I swing us away just as Doc Ock comes up after us. "Then stop listening!" I yell as we swing away.

"Okay, I'm gonna get us high in the air and then  I'm gonna leave it to you, okay?" I said to him and he nods. I swing a few feet away from Doc Ock then I got us high in the air.
"Alright. Okay..." I said as we were high in the air and I let him go. He falls a few feet, pushes the button on the web shooter and started to swing on his own.

"Nice, Miles!" Peter. "Great. You're doing it, Mile!" I said as Miles starts to swing and all three of us meet up together. "Double tap to release and thwip it out again. Thwip and release." Peter instructs as he and Miles carry the computer between them. "And thwip.
Release. Thwip. And release." Peter said as he and Miles do just that while I was swinging next to Miles. "You're doing great." I said to Miles.
"Thwip. Release." They said. "Feel the rhythm?" Peter asked Miles, who nods. "Thwip. And release!" Peter and Miles said together.

"Awesome job, Miles." I say encouragingly. "I gotta say, you two are amazing, man." Miles said to me and Peter. "We're a little team! Me as the teacher who could still do it. Y/n as the assistant teacher who can do it, just not as good. Miles as the student who is still on his way. I'm proud of us. Is there something you want to say to me?" Peter asked when suddenly he starts to glitch again then falls. "Peter!" Miles and I shout and we let go of our web and land on the tree trunk next to Peter but the computer falls past us.

I try to web it but Doc Ock grabbed it before I could get to it. The branch breaks and we began to fall until someone webs us up to the tree. "What the...? Who did that?" Peter asked as the three of us were webbed up.

Then we saw another spider person, this one in white and black and pink Spidey suit, it was just like mine, swing around and took out Doc Ock pretty easily and grabs the computer. This person walks up to us from another branch and pulls off her mask and-

"Gwen?" I ask, stock lacing my voice. My mouth felt dry. My heart was in my throat. My stomach felt like it was gonna do a backflip and fall out of my butt.

This was Gwen. Same hair colour, same eye colour, same Everything. Well, except for the hair, my Gwen didn't have half her head shaved.

"Hey, guys." She said. "How do you know my name? It is Gwen, actually." She said. "Oh, you know her. Very cool." Peter said.

All right, people. Let's start at the beginning one last time.

My name is Gwen Stacy.

I was bitten by a radioactive spider. And for the last two years, I've been the one and only Spider-Woman.

You guys know the rest.
I joined a band. Saved my dad. I couldn't save my best friend, Peter Parker, so now I save everyone else. And I don't do friends anymore, just to avoid any distractions.

And one day this weird thing happened.

And I mean, like, really weird. I was blown into last week. Literally.
Ilanded in New York, but not my New York.

My Spider-sense told me to head to Visions
Academy.
Wasn't sure why until I met you.

"Oh! I like your haircut." Miles said once we got down from the webs Gwen caused. "You don't get to like my haircut." She said, threateningly.

I don't know why, but it seemed my body movies for me. And suddenly I was up on the branch with Gwen, and I had my arms wrapped around her, with tears flowing down my face. "Uhh..."Gwen said as she stood there stiffly, her hand was slowly placed on my shoulder.

"I missed you so much." I say and pull away, wiping my tears with the back of my hand. "What did you do to you hair?— Oh my gosh, this— this is embarrassing. We're wearing the same suit." I said and chuckled.
Gwen looked down at her own before speaking up. "Do I know you? Im sorry, Did I mention I'm from another dimension. I mean, another-another dimension." She asked and I move my hands from around her.

"You are?" I ask, my smile falling and my heart breaking, once again. "Oh, I'm, I'm so sorry!" I say as my hand rubs her shoulder repeatedly from the tears I had left there and I huff before turning away from her.

"Y/n, are you okay?" Miles asked as he swung onto the branch next to me. "It's just... in my universe, Gwen is my sister. And I lost her in a accident. I'm really sorry. I didn't mean to cry on your suit. I knew it was too good to be true."

Gwen smiled apologetically. "That's alright. I know it must me surreal." She said and I wipe my face completely. "Again, I'm really sorry." I apologize again and Gwen laughs.

"It's alright. Let's go." She said and she web swings away. "How many more Spider-People are there?" I hear Miles Peter. "Save it for Comic-Con." Peter said and he web swings away. "What is a "Comic-Con"?" I ask and Miles shrugs and shakes his head before we follow them.

"He broke this?" Gwen asks us, holding up the old USB, as we ride the bus back home.
Peter was asleep in a seat behind us, Gwen was in a seat across from us and Miles and I were sitting next to each other. "Yeah. He's actually really embarrassed about it, so just keep it between us, okay?" Miles said and she laughs. "I know where we can make a new one. And we won't let him break it this time." She said and Miles and I chuckle.

"I'm sorry about your friend." I said to her.
"Thanks, Y/n. And I'm sorry for... me." She said, appreciatively. "I know how hard this is. To have to figure this stuff out on your own. It's kinda nice not being the only Spider-person around." She said. "Yeah. If you ever decide to do friends again, I could always open up a slot." Miles said. "Me too, Gwen." I said and she gives a small smiles. "I'lI keep you guys posted." She said. "Cool." We said and she looks down at the floor then out towards the window.

I let out a sigh and place my head back on the seat, then placed my hand on the arm rest just as I felt something touch my hand. I look down and saw that Miles laid his hand on top of mine, unknowingly, until he felt my hand. I look up from our hands and at Miles before we both pull away, and I look away from him, embarrassingly. "Sorry, my fault." He said as he placed his hand on his lap. I look at him for a second before I reach out and grab his hand again.

He looks back at me and I give him a small smile, he smiles back and we intertwine our fingers together. My smile grew bigger and i could feel my face heat up, so I lean my head on his shoulder so he couldn't see how red my face must've been. Then he lays his head on top of mine. I pull my inhaler from my pocket and take a quick puff so I wouldn't have an asthma attack from how hard my heart was beating, and I start to close my eyes and fall to sleep.
