Girls Rule (for the most part) ; Kenny McCormick ; Part 3/3

"What?!" Wendy spat. "We have to follow rules, now?"

"It seems so," Mrs Garrison nodded in despair.

"Oh no, equality," I said sarcastically, rolling my eyes.

"Okay, well by the looks of it," She scanned the list. "No one can talk to anyone, unless they're dating. And no hats-"

"No hats?!" Wendy slowly took off her purple cap.

"And you must... 'tend to the boys needs'? Doesn't this seem a little far?" Mrs Garison looked to us.

"They said the same for us," Craig shrugged.

"Oh," She nodded. "Well, I expect no talking from any of you. Unless you're dating."

"Unless," I stood. "Unless the girls want to take away their rules for boys, then this list will be taken away, too."

"No, we can handle it!" Bebe smiled.

"She's actually doing it?" Kenny whispered to me in surprise.

"I know," I sat down. "I thought-"

"Uh, Lia?" Mrs Garrison stopped me. "Are you and Kenny dating?" A long moment passed.

"Yup."

"Oh, alright," Mrs Garrison. "Continue."

I turned to Kenny to see if that was okay.

"So it's a yes?" He asked, laughing softly.

"It'a been a long ass day," Cartman sighed, peering out the window as houses passed by.

"Agreed," I nodded. "But tomorrow the girls are going to be pissed because of the uniforms."

"Can't wait," He laughed. "You have to wear yours, too."

"I know," I sighed.

"Kenny's excited," Cartman let out, giggling.

"Shut up," I laughed, seeing Kenny giggling in the corner of my eye. "No meeting today, which is strange."

"Yeah," He sighed. "Thank God."

"It was kinda fun," I shrugged.

"Maybe for you, but you're not a guy!" He shot.

"True," I laughed as we got up to walk off the bus.

"Bye, Lia," Kenny said as soon as we reached the flat ground, covered in snow.

"Bye, Kenny," I smiled, hanging back from Cartman, Kyle, and Stan. I then turned to join back to the group, discussing tomorrow. We soon split apart to our own houses, all wondering what to do to pass the time.

I walked outside in a small amount of shame meeting up with the boys. I picked on the end of my skirt, letting my fingers rub the fabric.

"Lia! Oh my God," Cartman burst into laughter, as well as the other boys.

"Bastard," I muttered as I hit his arm, now standing next to Kenny, who's fingers slid in between mine.

"I can't believe Mr Mackey would let you wear that," Stan noticed.

"Same," I shrugged. "But it's not terrible, and we're just in fourth grade."

"I guess," He replied. "Still... Still short."

"I feel so gross," I heard Wendy say as I walked into the bathroom. "Oh, Lia."

"Hey," I bit the inside of my cheek, glancing into the mirror. I looked pretty good for wearing such a slutty, preppy outfit.

"I hate these uniforms," Annie tugged on her polo.

"Same," I nodded, looking to my black Vans. They were the only black shoes I had, and I noticed how well it went with my white high socks, black skirt, and blue polo.

"We could take away the rules," Wendy rocked back and forth on her fancy black shoes. I held back a smile. "Not yet."

"Soon, though, right?" I asked.

"You don't need to know," She rolled her eyes and walked out with Annie, leaving me alone to admire the uniform one last time.

"Students, you may wonder why you have been called down," The principal stood in front of us.

"Not really," Craig shrugged.

"Well, this whole rule thing is completely out of hand," He began. "I, as the principal, is forced to do something that may upset all of you."

Kenny squeezed my hand in hope, I couldn't tell if he was doing it consciously or not.

"We have to take away all of the rules, including the uniform," He announced. The whole fourth grade cheered. Kenny has never looked so happy.

"I know, I know," He began. "It's a student thing, I won't understand your love of rules."

"I can wear my parka!" Kenny smiled to me. "Without the hood, of course."

"Aw, you don't have to," I couldn't help but smile, but then, joy overcame me, and I hugged him. He, surprised at first, hugged me back.

"Oh, it's time for recess," The principal checked his watch. We all burst from the gym and the presence of the short assembly into the open field.

"Lia, can you play basketball?" Kyle turned to me as I walked, hand in hand, with Kenny.

"I can try," I laughed.

"Good enough," He smiled and turned back around.

"Wow," Stan sighed.

"I can't believe we beat the system," I sat down next to Kenny, ignoring Cartman's open seat. "In only three parts!"

"It was kinda fun," Kyle shrugged, sliding off his backpack. "For school, at least."

"Yeah, I guess," Cartman slid to face us. "I'm not going to lie, definitely thought you were into me."

"Me?!" I smiled. "Into you? You're not even in a league."

"Hey, shut it!" He whined.

"At least we can finally understand Kenny," Kyle laughed. "I just made up things when people asked me what he said."

"I noticed," Kenny laughed.

"Guess who made the football team, by the way?" Stan interrupted us. Silence greeted him for a moment.

"We have a football team?" Cartman asked.

"Yeah, we all used to play together!" Stan hit him in hope it would spark his memory.

"Nope, don't think we have a football team," Cartman shook his head.

"Well, I made it!" Stan announced to the rest of us. "The first game's on Friday, you guys should come."

"Sorry, I have a thing then," Cartman burst. "Can't go, darn."

"I'll go," Kyle shrugged.

"I'll go if Lia goes," Kenny looked to me.

"I'll go," I smiled.

"Fine, I'll go, too, just stop being so annoying about it," Cartman rolled his eyes as I glanced outside to see the bus come to a stop.

I walked up quickly to the football field to see Kenny peering out into the field.

"Hey," I walked next to him and looked out to the football field.

"Hey," He smiled and looked to me as I continued to observe the field. Then we joined hands before he lead the way to our seats next to Kyle and Cartman.

"Stan's number four," Kyle nodded in greeting.

"Go... Cows?" I cheered, laughing with Kenny about how awkward I sounded.

"Close enough," Kenny smiled to me as I smiled back. I turned to the football field again and scooted closer to him, because skirts don't help to much when it comes to Colorado snow.

I didn't pay much attention to the game, but I know we won, because Stan's apparently super great at everything there is to know about a sport about tackling and balls and field goals and turf and... Stuff. I don't know too much about football, so.

It was around six when I began to walk home. I was originally going alone, because my parents were busy, but Kenny was planning to walk home anyway. Maybe it's a poor person thing to walk everywhere.

But he made it seem like minutes until the sun to fly down, revealing night sky. It was right before nine as we neared my house. It felt like a minute passed as we slowed down our almost three hour long conversation.

"Goodnight," He smiled as we stood awkwardly in front of my house. "I'll see you... Monday?"

"Hopefully sooner," I smiled. "Goodnight."

He gave me a quick hug and a small kiss before waving hesitantly and walking away to the poorer parts of town.

I walked inside to the sound of absolute silence. No one was home, so I was free to lay in bed and think for hours until my eyes shut and I fall asleep.
