Her phone buzzed, making her almost jump off her bed in surprise.

She looked at the screen just to see that she got a message from the person she had least excpected.

You got one new message from:
Kookie🐰

Her hands were shaking as she hastily unlocked it, just to read his message.

Oh

She fell back onto her bed, the phone sliding out of her grip carelessly.

Reality hit her hard and it felt as if all the air was sucked out of her lungs.

Those words were the last thing she heard from him. After that one message she would never see him again for three years.

The message that was the reason of her moving out so early.

She was never able to bring herself to delete this message.

Sorry, but I deserve better

You sighed after reading the three years old message for the thousandth time and put your phone back into your pocket.

Till today you never understood what made him think like that. You didn't do anything that caused an argument, he simply decided one day, that you weren't enough for him.

What you also couldn't understand, was why he had to break up contact completely. You could've stayed friends, right? On this way neither one of you would've been hurting like you did.

You shook your head to get rid of these thoughts and began to take the rest of your morningly walk through the park.

The snow, that had covered most of the area, had transformed into a muddy mixture of earth and water, causing your feet to make disgusting noises while you walked.

You entered the café and greeted your boss with a wave, before you disappeard in the kitchen to prepare everything for a long day at work. With Jeon Jungkook's fiancé.

"Oh, wow. Looks like we meet again." A deep voice stated 'surprised', "What a coincidence."

You looked up, to meet eyes with the blonde fairy Felix you had met just a day ago.

You felt how a smile spread over your face, something that barely happened. You hadn't been sure if he had been serious when he said he would visit you at work, but here he was, grinning and with an arm casually leaning against the counter.

It was almost the end of your shift and there weren't much customers left.

"I'm sorry Mr. but we are closing soon.", you said cheekily, making him pout a little.

"But I think we can make an exception for you."

You quickly got in the kitchen to get two doughnuts for you and strolled back to Felix, signalizing him to sit down at one of the tables.

"So, Y/N. Nice work place you have."

You smiled as you let your gaze roam mentioned place before you averted your attention back to the blonde haired guy, "I guess you're right. I can count myself lucky that I got this job."

You talked like that a little longer. You knew yourself as a person who didn't feel comfortable around others that quickly, but Felix seemed to be, in all ways, an exception.

"Uuh Y/N, who is that?" Sera said as she walked past you two.

"Hey Sera, this is Felix."

Felix winked at her, "Looks like there are only pretty waitresses working here."

Sera giggled and you were amazed by the fact that he'd managed to compliment both of you at the same time.

At this moment the sound of a opening door chimed through the room and Jungkook came in, Sera immediately throwing herself into his arms. Jungkook, on the other side, didn't gave his future wife any attention. His glare was set on Felix all of the time.

You yourself, didn't notice that, since you were way too busy with talking with Felix.

If you just could've heard Jungkook's thoughts right now.

"You ready to go Sera?"

You flinched as you heard the roughness of Jungkook's usually honey-like voice.

"Yes, but I have to do one more thing. Wait for me outside 'kay?"

While her fiancé left the building, Sera strolled over to Felix and you.

"So, Y/N. I wanted to ask you if you want to come to the surprise party for Jungkook I'll have at our place next Saturday. You know he works so hard for me, so I thought a party would be a great opportunity for him to relax a bit."

She must've noticed the unsure glance you had unintentionally thrown at Felix, because she added:"He can come too."

Felix smiled,"If Y/N comes, I would love to."

You hesistantly nodded, although you weren't really fazed by the ordinary idea of a surprise party. Besides that you weren't the type to party anyways.

"Great!" Sera chimed happily and you once again were mad a Jungkook for choosing a girlfriend - no, fiancé, you just couldn't not like.

Whilst Sera hopped out of the café with a wide smile, Felix gave you a questioning glance, "Do you know him?"

"No." Was your quiet answer.

He cocked brow, "You're a bad liar Y/N. Do you know him?"

You smiled at him, "I thought I did."
