From Jennie🐱: Yes?

Lisa's POV

OMG!!! She texted back. What should I text back? Why did I even text her in the first place? AAAAHH!!

"Okay, calm down Lisa," I told myself.

After writing out and deleting texts a couple times, I finally came up with a sentence.

To Jennie🐱: Do you wanna get some ice cream?

From Jennie🐱: You couldn't ask when we were walking together? ;)

I smile at the text, Jennie and I have been walking home together since the day I got her number.

To Jennie🐱: Are you busy? Maybe I asked at the wrong time. :(

From Jennie🐱: I would love to go get some ice cream :)

An acceptance? YES!

To Jennie🐱: Meet me at our convenience store, 6:00.

From Jennie🐱: Casual?

To Jennie🐱: Casual.

From Jennie🐱: See You :)

To Jennie🐱: I'll be waiting :)

I was already at the convenience store, relieved she said she'll be here.

6:01 P.M.

Jennie's POV

I'm glad Lisa called me to get some ice cream, it was after a long practice and I kinda got yelled at for making the same mistakes again and again. A big game was coming up, so I just endured it. Since I know it's Lisa, she'll cheer me up. I see her sitting in front of the convenience store with a bag in her hands. I stop and stare at her for a little. Very casual. Black sweats with a hoodie and her bangs a little messed up, she looks up and I walk to her.

"What are you doing in a hoodie Lisa?"

She stands up and hand me the bag. "It's gonna get colder."

"Only if we stay here longer." I get the milk ice cream inside and start to eat.

"The walk home today was more quiet than usual, you okay?" She asked with concern.

"I'm good, just wish I didn't make those mistakes."

"Hey, hey, everyone makes mistakes, I'm sure we'll do great on the game, mandu~" Lisa tried to cheer me up, it's working, we sat down on the platform in front the convenience store where she sat before. We ate in silence. Before we knew it, the sun was starting to set.

"Wanna go for a walk?" She suggested. I felt the wind brush up against my skin, I shivered as I felt the goosebumps. Lisa must have noticed. She took off her hoodie revealing she had another jacket on.

"I told you it'll get colder." She handed her hoodie to me.

"And I told you, only if we stay here long." I put on her hoodie, taking in her scent, sweet with a hint of sweat, but I loved it nonetheless.

"So you don't wanna go for a walk?" She took the trash from my hands throwing it in the trash can.

"No, I wanna go," I whined.

"Then let's go." She offered her hand to me, I gladly accepted, but my face fell as she let go of our hands after I stood up. I stared to the ground not moving as she walked forward, but soon stopped when she felt I wasn't by her side.

"Want to hold my hand?" She questioned me, I couldn't see, but I heard the smirk in her voice. I nodded with a shy smile still looking down.

"Hold it then." Lisa held her hand out, urging me to take it. I held my hands with her, interlocking it. I don't know why, but I felt comfort by just holding her hands, it's been our thing, one day I felt her hand brushing against mine a little, our pinky interlocked, and I initiated the full hand hold. We were walking hand in hand around the neighborhood park. For the first time since I held hands with her, walking like this, suddenly there were these feelings inside of me. Inside of my stomach, a tingling sensation. What was it about this time I had these feelings? I let go of her hands abruptly, she looked at me confused. We both stopped on our tracks.

"Everything okay?" She held my face while asking me, bending down a little to match my height.

"Yeah, I'm okay." I swiftly took her hands away from my face, but she still looked concerned for me. When I let go of her hand, I felt a little empty, and I got scared, I'm scared I'm getting too dependent on her. I fought the urge to hold her hand, but only emptiness filled the void. She started to walk again and I followed, looking at her hand, wanting to hold, but she held her hands to her back and slowed down her pace for me to catch up. Instead of locking hands with her, I locked my arm around hers. Emptiness was replaced with half the comfort I felt when I held her hand. We were walking for a while now and I got tired, so I sat down on a nearby bench. Lisa sat next to me, our distance was a little too far for my liking so I scooted closer to her. We sat with our hands to our side, I moved my hands slowly on top of hers and she took them in. I looked up at her with blushed cheeks, she smiled at me and averted her attention to something in front of her. I looked down to our intertwined hands and felt the tingling sensation again. I couldn't ignore the overpowering feelings, so I'll ask my best friend about it later. I felt drowsy after the long day, so I leaned my head on her shoulder, perfect fit, I thought. I didn't realize, but I soon drifted off to sleep.

Lisa's POV

I felt Jennie's head on my shoulder, perfect fit. My thoughts were interrupted when I heard a snore from Jennie. Her breathing evened and her breath became shallow. I thought of waking her up, but she looked so tired and her face seemed so peaceful. I stared at her for a while, I could see her mandu cheeks a little more puffy than usual, swallowing down the urge to pinch them, I slowly lifted her head off my shoulder and bent down in front of her, holding her hands to both my sides and circling her arms around my neck, I carefully lifted her on my back. I walk slowly back to her apartment. I didn't want her to wake up, I didn't want the night to end. It felt weird when she abruptly let go of my hand about 20 minutes ago, but I didn't ask any questions. I felt reassured when she initiated to hold my hand again.

I was in front of her apartment, but was in a dilemma of whether I should take her up or wake her up. I've been to her apartment a couple of times now, but I'm not close enough to her family yet to bring their sleeping daughter into their home. When I saw no signs of Jennie waking up, I took the elevator up with her on my back. I realized I wasn't tired of carrying her at all, she was a tiny bean. The elevator dinged and I stepped off. I find my way to her apartment, I was about to knock when the door opened revealing Jennie's mom.

"I was about to call Jennie, HONEY, JENNIE'S HOME!" Her mother softly yelled. "Come inside."

I stepped in and felt the environment of comfort surround me, damn, I've only been here a couple of times.

"Where should I put Jennie?" I whispered. Her mother pointed to, I'm guessing, her room. I've only been to her living room, I walked towards the room and her mother opened it for me, I thanked her.

Slowly putting Jennie on to the bed, I took her blanket and covered her body leaving her tiny head popping out. Her mother was watching me from afar so I couldn't kiss her forehead goodnight like I wanted to. I walk out her room with her mother following me.

"Sit down please Lisa." Shoot. I was about to leave and say goodbye, but sat back down on the sofa in front of the huge coffee table.

"Yes, Mrs. Kim?" I looked around nervously. I sat properly with my back straight and my hands on my lap.

"You've been hanging around with Jennie a lot lately."

"Yes I have, is there a problem?"

"No, I'm glad she's made a new friend."

"Me too," I awkwardly say.

"Do you like her?"

I fell silent, cursing myself for not waking her up.

"Yes ma'am, she's a good friend."

"No, I'm asking if you romantically like her." Mrs. Kim waited for my answer, "she's different with you than her other friends Lisa."

"I mean-" she cut me off.

"You can tell me, I'm not gonna stop you from liking her, I just wanna know." She had a genuine look on her face.

"I have started to develop feelings for her ma'am, or Mrs. Kim."

"Who wouldn't? I mean she looks like her mother, what a heartbreaker." She lighted the mood with a joke.

"I'm not gonna deny that." Mr.Kim chimed in.

"It's getting pretty late, I think I should go." I looked at the time, it was already past 9:00 P.M.

"I'll take you home, so your parents won't be as mad knowing you sent my daughter home." Mr. Kim offered. I was about to deny, "no but's." He pointed with his index. We walk to the door and he took me home, he was right, my parents didn't get mad knowing Mr. Kim was with me.

Wow, what a turn of events. Now the Kims know I like their daughter, how am I going to face them next time? Will there be a next time? I shook my head and told myself to not worry about the future and that today was very eventful. Next time will be next time.
