Octavian's POV

The restaurant was amazing. We all went to our table. The waiter took our orders and went to the kitchen.

"Wow, Piper. This is just classy." Rachel said.

"Excuse us for a minute." Frank said. Frank and Hazel went outside.

"Percy did you gave Blackjack the sugar cubes?" Annabeth asked.

"Uh... let's see. No." Percy replied.

"Well, what are you waiting for?! Poor Blackjack might be hungry by now. Wait for us." Annabeth said and they went off.

"Where is the restroom here?" Reyna asked.

"I think it's over there. Wait dad's calling." Piper said.

"Jason, Let's call Hazel and Frank. They are taking so long." Leo sounded really annoyed.

"Ok." Jason replied. And they took off.

Rachel's POV

Did my friends left me with him intentionally? I'm not saying I don't like it but it's awkward like this.

"Um, hey." He said.

I was so surprised that I almost forgot to talk. "Hey. I'm sorry about what happened." I replied.

Then there was silence until he breaked it.

"How are you?" He asked.

"I'm alright. A little cold but alright." I said.

That's when he put his coat around me. I didn't know if I was blushing, so I looked away.

"I've been waiting to ask you..." The blonde said.

"What?" I answered. This was so hard.

"If..." he said

I looked at him nervously.

But then we heard a scream.

Octavian's POV

Dang it! I was about to ask her if she could be mine. Then now, a scream intervenes with that. When we saw who was screaming, it was a little girl.

"Hey! Stay away from her!" She growled.

But the guy pointed a dagger to the girl's neck. "Move, and I will slice her head." The guy warned.

Rachel was staring hopelessly at the girl." We need to help her."
There was tears in her eyes. Maybe because she felt so helpless.

I didn't want to see her cry, so I grabbed the lid of a trash can and threw it straight to the guy's face. The little girl ran to Rachel and she enclosed the girl with her arms.

"Why you meddling-" the guy charged at me with his knife.

I brought out my dagger and countered his strike. His knife flew against the wall.

I pointed my dagger at him. "Explain your business." I growled.

"Uh...um..uh" he was so speechless.

We let him go with the police that Rachel called. The police also took the girl and was now safe.

"Are you alright? Are you hurt?" I asked.

"I'm fine, actually." She replied.

"I just don't want you getting hurt." I said.

"C'mon. They're probably waiting for us." She said.

Rachel's POV

He was so brave. For his body, he really has a tough attitude. I liked that about him.

"Where have you guys been?" Hazel asked.

"We saved a little girl from a bad guy. You know, just a usual day.Well actually, Octavian saved a little girl and me. " I answered.

They all have teasing looks on their faces. Even Reyna was smirking. Jeez...

"By the way, let's eat." Octavian said.

After the hangout was over. We all got our rides. I was with Octavian and Reyna cause Leo was at another cab. Reyna is in the front seat, asleep.

"What were you going to ask me before?" I asked.

"If you..could..." he paused.

"If I could what?" I asked.

"This is so hard.." he said.

"It's alright. You can do it." I said, putting my hands on his cheeks.

Then we looked at each other. His cheeks felt warm. I felt safe with him.

Octavian's POV

She is holding my cheeks. Now I'm staring at her...

"If you could be my.., girlfriend?" I asked her hopefully.

She gasped.
