This is not fun.

You sprinted through the abandoned streets to the location that Izuku sent you, your heart aching from worry. You had a pretty good idea of what was going on and if you were right, you needed to get there as soon as possible.

You heard yelling from an ally just ahead of you, so you dashed around the corner.

Izuku, Iida and a hero you recognized as Native were lying paralyzed on the ground and Shoto was standing protectively in front of them.

The man Shoto was facing was the Hero Killer.

Your blood boiled at the sight of your friends injured and scared, you were about to run in and crush Stain's head, but Shota's voice flooded your mind.

I don't know what happened, but if you want to become a pro hero you cannot let yourself be blinded by anger, villains can and will take advantage of you that way.

You took a breath.

"Umm, hi."

Shoto turned around wide eyed. "Y/n what are you doing here?"

"What? Y/n's here?" Izuku exlaimed franticly, he couldn't turn around but he recognized your voice.

"You children keep showing up and making things difficult." Stain muttered causing Shoto to turn back around.

"Stain, I recommend you leave now. You are out numbered and from the looks of it, you have a paralyzing quirk, but I'm sure it has a time limit." As you spoke you walked closer to your friends stepping in front of them and standing with Shoto.

"Y/n be careful, if he ingests your blood he can freeze you." Izuku warned.

"If you go now, you will get away before the pro heroes come."

"Y/n what are you doi-"

You held up your hand you shush Iida, you knew Stain was too powerful for you and Shoto to defeat alone and you couldn't take enough of his quirk to free them. If you hadn't been patrolling all day, you would have been fine, but you were already exhausted and taking 100% of a quirk wasn't possible.

"Sorry little girl but that won't be happening, it is my job to cleanse this world of false heroes and there are two of them in front of me which I will not let run free."

"Two? Can you count? There are five of us."

Of course you knew he was talking about Native and Iida, they were both badly injured while Shoto and Izuku were barely scratched. 

You were just staling for time.

"Do you think I don't know what you're doing?" Stain sneered 

Before you had a chance to respond, a dagger whipped through the air slicing open your cheek. 

"Ouch."

"Y/n!" 

"I'm fine, I'm fine, okay Shoto let's get this over with."

You got into a fighting stance and Shoto activated his fire.

Nice

"You have good friends Ingenium." Stain said running towards you and Shoto with one of his swords.

"Got it!" you yelled, quickly using some of Shoto's ice to block the oncoming attack.

You and Shoto both saw something flying in the air and looked up.

A sword! He must have thrown it at the same time as the dagger.

You suddenly felt a presence beside you, Stain was right in your face, aiming to lick the blood from your cheek.

You didn't have time to react but luckily Shoto sent a pillar of fire at him making him jump back grabbing the falling sword from the air.

"That was fucking gross." you wiped off the blood using your sleeve.

You and Shoto made eye contact, knowing you had the same plan. Keep him away until the pro's arrived.

You took turns alternating ice and fire to hold him back, you only used ice due to the fact you would probably incinerate the entire city if you tried fire, and Shoto only used fire.

"Just stop it." Iida muttered from behind you, his voice strained from the pain he was in "Why are you doing this. This fight is with me, I inherited my brother's name, I'm the one that should stop him. The hero killer is mine."

You couldn't stop yourself from getting annoyed "Shut the fuck up Iida, stop being stupid." 

Shoto scoffed "You're Ingenium now, strange." he sent a huge fire attack while you did your best to build barriers of ice "The Ingenium I knew never had that look on his face. You've got a dark side, I guess my family isn't the only one."

"You blocked your own field of vision." Satin laughed cutting through the barriers "A rookie mistake, but you're good, unlike him."

You and Shoto were both hit in the arm with a dagger stopping you from having enough time to block Stain from aiming his attack at Native.

Fuck

Without warning a flash of green shot through the air grabbing Stain and pulling him away.

"Midoriya!" Shoto yelled

You looked up later than him, you didn't have the same tolerance for being stabbed in the arm.

Mother Trucker, that hurt like a butt cheek on a stick.

"I don't know how, but I can move now!" Izuku explained 

"He should have been the last to be able to move." Native croaked out

Izuku and Stain fell to the ground, you shot out an ice attack to separate them, pulling Izuku back to where you were standing.

"Izuku, is that what you wanted to show me? The whole running on walls and glowing green thing?"

"Yeah!"

"Pretty cool!"

"Now is not the time you two."

"Sorry Todoroki. We know he swallows blood to freeze people but I was freed first... I've got three different guesses on why. His quirk could be less effective the more people he uses it on, the amount ingested could play into how long it works, or there could be a difference based on a persons blood type."

Stain's glare depend making you shudder "Based on his reaction I'm going to say the last one."

"So you figured it out, bravo, very impressive."

You rolled your eyes, "Stain, don't you have every single blood born illness by now?"

The man snarled but didn't respond.

"I'll take that as a yes."

"Knowing how his quirk works doesn't help us." Izuku glanced to the people lying on the ground

You nodded knowing what he was saying "We can't carry them out of here, he's to fast."

"Even with Y/n and I, our best option is to keep him back and avoid close combat."

"No, you and Y/n have already lost too much blood, I'll distract him and you two support me from behind." Izuku instructed

"What are you talking about? I'm not letting anyone do any close combat with that guy, he is way to dangerous."

"I agree with Y/n, it's a huge risk... but we can protect them!" Todoroki faced Stain.

"Are you fucking listening to me? I said no."

"Three against one huh, this won't be easy." Everyone but you got into a fighting stance.

Before you could stop him Izuku activated his quirk and started jumping around the walls distracting Stain.

Shoto immediately started backing him up with his fire.

I am strait up not having a good time right now, these little fuckers going around trying to get themselves killed, I might just kill them myself.

You used ice to keep Stain as restricted as possible, while also trying not to get in Izuku's way.

Stain dodged an attack, discreetly sending a dagger towards Iida's head. You slid to the side, blocking it with your leg before anyone noticed it had been thrown.

"Mmmmmmfff." you bit down hard on your lip, drawing blood to keep yourself from screaming.

Your leg was burning as well as your arm but you had to focus on keeping your friends safe.

The only person who saw the dagger was Iida.

"You have to run." he forced out, tears forming in his eyes "I can't watch this."

You were not having his attitude. "Get over yourself Tenya, we are your friends and we had to watch you become someone who you are not. You aren't someone full of hate and anger, you don't give up and you are not a killer so let us help you just this once."

You would have continued, but you were trying to cover Izuku who had been paralyzed again.

"You want to make your brother proud!?" Shoto shouted "Then stand up and be Ingenium, become the hero he wanted you to be!"

Stain sent daggers flying on either side of you and Shoto making you stand right beside each other.

"Hasn't anyone told you two you rely on each other too much." Stain smirked running towards you and Shoto dodging both of your attacks. "It makes you careless fighters."

In a flash he was right beside you with his sword at both of your throats.

Your eyes widened.

"GUYS!"

"RECIPRO BURST!"

Iida's foot was beside your head breaking the sword in half and then he was in front of you kicking Stain away.

I almost died...

Your heart was beating a million times a second, if you weren't in the middle of a fight you would have broken down, but your mindset was simply keeping your friends alive.

You pointed aggressively at Stain. "Excuse you, I'm a bad bitch, you can't kill me!"

You were going to go up to him and punch his nonexistent nose in, but Iida put out his arm to stop you.

"Y/n, Todoroki, Midoriya, this has nothing to do with you, and I apologize."

"You're saying that again?" Izuku groaned

"That's why I can't allow you three to bleed more than this!"

Stain scoffed, speaking with so much malice you could almost see it like a cloud of smoke around him "It's no use trying to be reformed for appearance's sake. A person's essence does not change so easily. You will never be anything but a fake who prioritizes his own selfish desires. You are a cancer to society that warps the idea of 'heroes'. Someone must teach you a lesson."

You pinched the bridge of your nose. "I'm done with your bullshit, you, Mr Stain, are a fundamentalist  lunatic with no regard to how society works in the slightest. Have you ever thought about how the economy would be effected without heroes? Or how many innocent people would die with villains running rampant? Tenya, don't listen to anything he says, he is a blithering idiot and a murderer."

"No... he's right. I have no place to call myself a hero... Even so, there is no way I can back down. If I give up now then the name Ingenium will die!"

"Pathetic." Stain spat, launching himself forward.

At the same time you and Shoto pushed Iida back and blasted the Hero Killer away..

"Idiots!" Native shouted "The Hero Killer is only after me and that kid in the white amour! Stop fighting back! Just get out of here!" 

"He wouldn't let us run even if we wanted to!" Shoto explained "Something changed in him just now."

Everything is going wrong for him, he's erratic. There's the uncertain element of when his quirk will wear off and he has to get in close to use it.

 You were keeping a wall of ice around your group to keep him away.

Looking at his quirk, he's not especially powerful and taking on multiple opponents must be hard for him, he's trying to kill Iida and Native before the hero's get here.

You almost got nailed in the face with a chuck of fallen ice but ducked just in time.

I swear to god.

"Todoroki!" Iida called "Can you regulate your temperatures?"

"No, I can't. Y/n is the one who is better at that."

Tenya looked to you "Y/n, I need you to freeze my engines without covering the exhaust!"

"Okay!"

You turned around to face him, but Iida jumped in front of you blocking a knife aimed for your head with his arm.

"Tenya!"

"Why won't you stay down!" Stain yelled pining Iida to the ground with daggers.

"Just do it!" he instructed

You bent down, internally screaming at the pain in your leg, and quickly froze his engines, then you carefully removed the daggers on his arms.

Iida stood up, his engines igniting and shot towards Stain, who was flying through the air.
Izuku activated his quirk an aimed a super charged punch while Shoto followed with his fire.

You couldn't move due to your injuries, but you could see Stain pulling out a sword from behind his back.

"Uh I think the fuck not you trick ass bitch."

You picked up the ice that had almost hit your head and hurtled it at his arm with all the strength you had left.

It connected with a sickening crunch making him drop his weapon, just before your friends all landed their attacks.

The Hero Killer fell to the ground, unmoving.

...

"If he's fucking dead..."

"No, he's just unconscious, let's take tie him up and take him to the road."

"Todoroki, don't forget to check him for weapons."

"Good call Midoriya."

You stayed in your position on the ground and tried to stealthily remove the dagger lodged in your leg, everyone was shaken as it was and you didn't want to add to that.

"Y/n, how's your leg?"

"Shhhhhh."

"What happened to her leg?"

"Are you hurt?"

"Can you walk?"

Wonderful, just what I wanted.

Shoto noticed the dagger first and dropped down do examine it.

"Don't try and remove it, it's keeping you from losing blood. We have to wait for the medical professionals. When did this happen."

"Oh, like three seconds ago it hasn't been there for lon-"

"No, Y/n I can't allow you to lie about your well being." Iida looked away in guilt gritting his teeth as though it was painful to speak "She blocked it from reaching my head, half way through the battle."

"You've had a dagger in your leg for half the fight!" Izuku exlaimed in shock, Native, who wasn't paralyzed anymore, was helping him up because he also couldn't walk.

Shoto glared at you.

"Listen, you can't be angry at me because I saved your asses and I wouldn't have done that if you guys benched me because of an injury."

"We are going to talk about this later."

After de-daggering Stain and tying him up, the five of you helped each other get onto the road where you could be found by the pros.

"What are you doing here boy!"

An older hero across the street yelled at Izuku and then in a flash had kicked him in the face and was right beside you.

"Who's this?" asked Shoto

"Grand Torino, the hero I'm interning with." Izuku managed rubbing his nose. "I don't get it, how did you find us?"

"I was told to come here by someone else, I'm glad you're not dead at least."

"Y/N YOU'RE ALIVE!"

Bubble Girl came sprinting around the corner followed by a group of pro heroes and hugged you tightly tearing you away from Shoto who was holding you up.

"I DIDN'T KNOW WHERE YOU WENT! MIRIO AND I HAVE BEEN LOOKING ALL OVER! YOU IDIOT!"

The rest of the heroes caught up "Oh my god! Is that the Hero Killer?!"

Bubble Girl turned around to see what they were talking about.

"Is that... Y/N WHAT THE HELL, YOU HAD THREE RULES AND YOU BROKE TWO OF THEM!"

She continued yelling at you and hugging you at the same time while you attempted to tell her you were in pain.

"I'm sorry for interrupting." Shoto walked up to the two of you "But she has some major injuries."

Bubble Girl finally let you go, gasped, and then ran off to call the ambulance.

"I assume that's someone from your agency."

"Yep."

You looked up at the sky admiring the stars.

I almost died like twelve times today...

but I stopped a lot of villains...

It was fun.
