49) Halloween Horror Nights

Location : Singapore

Sender :  Ms Zal

Each year,  there will be an event held at Universal Studios Singapore where most people look forward to. Its called Halloween Horror Nights. As per normal, my friends and relatives asked me out but i rejected them. I have a valid reason for it and my story goes like this.

A year ago, my best friend Amalina asked me out to the event. I didn't really look forward to it but i gave in because i didn't want to let her down. The event was a big hit. The actors, the special effects and the whole atmosphere really gave me goosebumps. The main attraction was the haunted house. No one was allowed to go in alone. So me being the weaker one told my friend to lead the way while i walked behind her, holding onto her hips.

It was dark and cold with some dim lights around. We crept in slowly. Going to station after station. So many different ghosts all around us. There were so many jumpscares in between. I kept on clinging onto my friend like as if my life was in her hands. That was how scared i was. So halfway through, like maybe after 4 stations, suddenly i felt a hand holding my hips! I turned around to look and

"AAAAHHHH!" what i saw made me jumped!

Standing behind me was a woman wearing a long red dress. Her skin texture was so pale i thought she was dead! But the worst part of her outlook was her tongue.. it stretched all the way down to her chest!  I ignored her at first, thinking that her character was part of the thrill. So we continued going to other stations, getting all creeped out by other ghostly appearances but at the same time, this woman was following me everywhere i went!

At one point of the thrill, we had to stop for a while because there were problems ahead. I turned around again and the woman was still there. I smiled at her but she just stared at me without any emotion.  I started to feel uneasy so i whispered to my friend Amalina,

"Lina, you see this ghost. She kept following me from just now.." i told her her.

"Hmm..they're actors. What do you expect? They're just doing their job.." she explained.

"I know but.. she looks so scary, especially her tongue. Stretched down all the way to her chest. Its so creepy.." i was freaking out.

"Did you say tongue stretched to the chest?" Lina asked me.

Lina looked behind me again and said,

"What tongue? I don't see any tongue. All i see is a horn." she told me.

I looked behind me and clear enough, there was another ghost disguised as the Devil ghost holding the 'HALLOWEEN HORROR NIGHTS' bannner while making some growling sounds as part of its character. This was the ghost that Lina was referring to and it did had a horn on its head.

"Not that ghost. I am talking about the lady in red standing exactly behind me." i explained to her.

"What lady in red?? I don't see anyone behind you.." Lina was actually getting pissed at me.

"Lina.. please don't make me scared.." i almost wanted to cry because the creepy woman was still clinging onto me!

"Excuse me! Can you come here for a while? Okay take a look behind my friend and tell her what do you see.." Lina called out to one of the staff working there.

"I see the Devil ghost.." he said.

"Okay, what else do you see?" Lina asked.

"Some trees.." he continued.

"No, no,  i mean, do you see any other ghost behind my friend?" Lina asked him.

"No.." he said.

"You see? I proved it to you already.."Lina said.

At that point of time, only God knows how i felt. I knew that whatever standing behind me was inhuman so i requested Lina to stand behind me while i lead the way. The moment Lina stood behind me, its gone! Can you imagine that? We continued our journey towards the end and Lina did not even see what i had just saw!

A few days later, i saw a tweet hashtag under 'HHN7'. He was tweeting about what happened to him inside the haunted house. Guess what? The exact same thing happened to him. The same lady in red, clinging onto him and he was the only one who saw her!  That was the ultimate reason why i will never go to that event ever again.

Thank you.
