Chapter 3 (Part 2): The Second Wall Breach

After we had graduated, all had gone well. Eren and Jean keep fighting, while Marco and I try to break the two of them up from their fights. And so on.

Yes, Marco and I still stop Eren and Jean from fighting and yes, I know that Marco, Jean and I are in the MP's so, how do Jean and Eren fight? Well, we share barracks.

After a couple of weeks, we heard several reports that there have been titans spotted around the local areas outside of the wall.

"What are we supposed to do about that?" Jean asked. At breakfast, Jean talked a lot. It was unfortunate because he wastes a lot of food by doing that.

"Well, I guess we wait to see if the Scouts call us in for help." I said.

"Yeah, like (Y/N), said, we need to wait until we are asked for assistance." Marco agreed with me.

That was something I liked about him. His freckles, another and his eyes closed smile. They compliment him and his personality well.

*Thump, thump, thump*

Is all we heard through the silence we shared through the rest of our breakfast.

*Thump, thump, thump*

We heard it again and again and again and again until the Military Police Captain stood up and said "Let's go".

We are waiting outside for Commander Erwin to get here and I'm nervously poking around at Marco for his 'Freckled Jesus assistance'.

"(Y/N), you'll be fine." is all he would say

Commander Erwin finally got to where half of us MP's were impatient and nervous. He explained the situation and how we were to help.

Some of us were to help evacuate people from their residence and the others were to help fight.

Marco, Jean and I were put on to help fight.

We took off and started our killing spree if titans that had crowded through Wall Rose.

Wow... look at all these titans... there are so many. So deadly but incredibly facinating.

I took off in a direction, just killing titans. That's when I realized, I separated myself from Jean and Marco. That's until, I heard a familiar scream.

"MARCO!!!" I yell and turn the direction I was facing to head towards where I heard his scream. Jean was long gone to the base, so it was just me.

I saw a titan holding Marco above its mouth, waiting to devour him.

"Not on my watch, you sick son of a brat." I mumbled to myself as I went in to save Marco.

I grabbed him, placed him down on the nearest building and went back to the titan.

"You sick son of a brat, you're going to regret trying to eat my Freckled Jesus!" I yell at the titan before slashing the nape of its neck. 1 metre deep and 1 metre width across. Steam arose from its necks and it fell to the ground in a tumbling crash.

"Marco..." I say between tears. It was just enough to get his attention. "A-are you okay?" I asked, running to him to see if there was anything about him missing.

"(Y/N)! I'm fine!" he said between chuckles.

"Okay, I just wanted to make sure that my Freckled Jesus was still in one piece." we laughed for about five minutes before continuing our killing spree of the titans.

Once we were finished, Marco, Jean and I regrouped. We check to make sure that we were all in one piece and, gratefully, we were.

"So... how did you survive all by yourself, Jean?" Marco asked curiously.

"Oh umm..." Jean hesitated, probably not expecting that question. "I didn't really survive by myself..." he said, looking off into the distance.

"What, do you mean?" I asked in a slightly offended voice.

"I had help. Isn't that what we're supposed to do? Help one another?" Jean asked, throwing a little bit of his attitude at me. I didn't want to get into shit with him, so I walked away.

"(Y/N)!! (Y/N)! Wait, please!" Marco called after me. I just kept walking.

Eventually, Marco caught up to me with worry in his eyes. This type of worry, I had never seen. I stopped and looked him in his eyes.

"Why, did you come after me, Marco?" I said coldly.

"I didn't want you to be out here alone, I also thought... you know..." he trailed off, looking behind me, but immediately, regained eye contact. "I thought that you would've been a little lonely." he finished and sounded a little off. I couldn't put my finger on that, exactly, so I just left it.

I motioned for Marco to follow me as we began our walk. I told Marco a lot of the things that had me weighing out my backpacks and he surprisingly, felt with everything I told him well. As to giving me some advice or just calming me down before I had the chance to get a somebody's neck. That was something I really liked, and appreciated about Marco. Nothing really ever bothered him.

Later that evening, we were hanging out in Marco's room. It didn't really matter where we slept anymore because we were in the inner barracks. Therefore, I moved into Marco and Jean's room. Their room was actually more comfier than my old one.

The Scouts moved into their old castle. I heard Captain Levi made them do a lot of cleaning. That was unfortunate for them, oh well though.

After that second wall breach, nothing was the same.
