The saying 'butterflies in my stomach' is an understatement. Butterflies don't come close to describing the explosion of nerves you feel as you strap the seat belt of the pod on.

Before you shut the door of the pod, you place the earpiece Taehyung created into your ear and push the button on it.

"Guys, can you hear me?" You say as you flick the switch to your right, shutting the door.

A few seconds later you hear a couple of 'yeah's.
"I'll open the sky view window." Minji says.
You soon hear the sliding mechanical sound of the window above.
"Is everyone ready? Have you all made the pods invisible?" She asks.

"Yes. Should we turn the oxygen system on now?" Jin asks.
Minji says yes so you push the button above your head and get ready for take off.

"I'll follow behind you four so I can see all of your pods through the window. Make sure to turn the invisibility off after we enter space." Minji says. You all comply and start to hover the pods.

Yoongi says he'll leave first followed by Jin then you, Jimin and finally Minji.

As you get higher and higher, the knot in your stomach grows. You lean forwards to catch a glance of Earth below through the window in front of you and you begin to feel queasy.

One wrong move, one malfunction and... you'd be falling to your death.

"The pressure meter is rising. Turn on the compressor in 3...2...1... now." Minji says into her earpiece.
You pull a lever down and hear a hissing sound.

"Make sure to keep checking it, if something isn't right, tell me." Minji instructs.

"How are you guys doing?" Jimin asks.

"Good I think." Jin nervously laughs.

"The view is so pretty but so scary at the same time." You sigh, watching the sunset casts hues of orange and yellow across skyscrapers and high rise buildings.

"I can't wait till we leave the stratosphere, I bet space is prettier." Yoongi mumbles and you hum in agreement.

"Activate the fireproof shield and climate control now. It's going to get hot as we rise but when we get into space the temperature will start dropping again."

You listen to Minji and do what she says.
"Guys... my shield isn't working. It says system error on the screen." Jimin mutters, shocked and voice laced with fear.

"What?!" You exclaim.

"Minji? What does he need to do?" Jin gasps.

Minji takes a breath and thinks.
"You need to turn to the touch pad, do you see it?"

Jimin replies with a hasty yes.
"Okay, first, make your pod visible, then go to the touch pad and click 'manual override, shutdown'."

"...You want me to shut my pod down? Won't it fall? You can't be serious?!" Jimin exclaims.

"Jimin you don't have much time. Shutting it down will reboot the system. The shield isn't faulty I believe it's only a malfunction. Do it Jimin, do it now because in a few minutes your pod will burn." Minji bellows.

But Jimins pod doesn't turn visible.
"Jimin do it! Listen to her!" Yoongi yells.

"Quick!" You say.

You hear Jimin let out a shaky breath.
"O-Okay..."
his pod comes into view.
"But I-I need to say something."

"Jimin you don't have time!" Yoongi yells.

"I-... Y/N... I love you."
Then, his pod starts falling,  increasingly fast.
You don't know what to say, what to think. It's a surprise to you, you didn't expect him to say anything like that.

"J-Jimin?" You whisper, too shocked to even articulate. You peer through the window to see Jimins pod getting smaller and smaller as it descends lower and lower.

"Holy shit..." Jimin gasps. You hear clicking on the other side, a bunch of buttons pressed.

"REBOOT JIMIN!" Minji yells through the earpiece.

"D-doing it now." He stammers. "Why isn't it working?!" He yells.

"JIMIN!" Yoongi and Jin exclaim.

Finally, you hear a swoosh from the other end then you see the pod come to a shaking stop below. It wobbles upwards and a few minutes later, it's almost reached where your pods are.

You all turn your pods visible as Jimin lines up against yours.

"Thank god." Minji sighs in relief.

"Y/N...I'm sorry...for springing that on you... I'm sorry. I didn't think I'd make it...."

"I'm glad your safe Jimin. I'm... I'm going to turn my earpiece off until we get there. Flash your pods lights if you need me."
You say before clicking the button on your earpiece and letting out a shaky breath.

What are you supposed to say to that? You feel shocked and confused but also... angry. How could he say that? After comforting you for weeks when crying over Jungkook. He knows how much you love and miss Jungkook...

You didn't expect it... you didn't expect Jimin to feel that way about you.
With a sigh, you clutch the two levers in front of you, ready for the pressure of breaking through the stratosphere.

Soon, you cover the window with the protective material as you feel the temperature rise steadily.
An immense wave of pressure slows your pod down, forcing you to push the levers forwards as hard as you can.

Just when you think your arms can't take it anymore, the pod moves smoother. You must be in space now.
You remove the protective shield and gaze out into the gorgeous dark, scattered with planets and orbs of light.
It's breathtaking.
This must be what it feels like to be an astronaut.

On the pod infront of you, you see it's bottom ring light flash.
You reach up to your ear and press the button again.

"Y/N, you there?" Minji asks and you reply with a small yes.
"Smooth sailing from here on out. Press the button with the lightening bolt then flick the cruise control switch. We'll get to Orcus in no time."

You flick the switch and press the button. As soon as you press the lightning bolt, you feel nauseous.
"H-how fast are we going? Everything outside my window is blurred into a black mess." You ask.

"Well we're travelling through 20 years of space in under an hour. So pretty fast." Minji laughs.

"What?! How come I'm not throwing up or flinging to back?" Jin exclaims.

Minji clicks her tongue.
"Didn't I already explain everything to you guys?"

"I wasn't really listening..." he chuckles dryly.

Minji sighs but explains briefly anyway.
"Long story short- built in pressure and gravity controls minimise the feeling of travelling fast, okay?"

"Ohhh... got it." Jin says.

"I suggest you all take a nap, if something happens, the pod will alert you. Safe travels guys." Minji says before clicking off.

"Finally!" Yoongi squeals before yawning and clicking off. Jin says goodbye before leaving too then it's just you and Jimin.

He coughs and stays silent for a bit. Just as you're about to click off, he speaks.
"Please... don't be awkward around me." He whispers sadly.

You clench your eyes shut and sigh.
"I don't know what to say..." you mumble back.

"Y/N, I don't expect you to like me back. I know we're just friends and you love Jungkook. I don't want to lose you as a friend..."

"Then why did you confess?" You say weakly.

Jimin is silent before sighing.
"...I thought that was it. That I was going to die. I just wanted you to know how much you mean to me before I fell..."

"I... I'm sorry Jimin... I really am so happy that you made it." You whisper. "Sleep well."

You click off and sit back on the seat.
How can it not be awkward now?
