Y/n POV:

Right now, I am at the restaurant run by Dong sik's parents to introduce him to them.

They couldn't believe their son had gotten in such a condition.

Yook Jong Chul, the father of Dong Sik, seems like a strict man, and Dong Sik in the past may have felt left out because of his stepmother and stepbrother and his biological sister.

And his family might seem patriarchal, but they really care about him. They have also been the ones to look out for me since my teenage years.

Hearing about him, they started to introduce themselves and discussed some past stories of Dong Sik, hoping he might remember something.

I know it was hard for my friend. From the morning, he had been asking weird questions about himself.

After the meal, I dragged him towards the office. During the way, I explained to him the mess he had gotten into and how I, as his best friend, met with Mr Seo In Woo.

He couldn't believe he was a literal pushover. Still, he thanked me for our help.

Entering the office, Dong Sik discussed everything with the secretary of In Woo, who had come to investigate the ongoing situation.

While I got started on my work. Oh! It is going to be a long day..

......

.............

It was nearly nighttime. Most of the people had clocked out. I was nearly about to sleep before a knock on my desk startled me awake.

I looked up to see who the prepatator was only to come face to face with Seo In Woo.

In Woo: Looks like someone's sleepy.

Y/n: (small smile) For what do I owe for your prescence.

In Woo: Nothing much. I just wanted to invite you to dinner.

Y/n: Me?

I said, pointing towards myself.

In woo: Who else is here besides you.

He got a little closer to me.

Y/n: Hey, you know if this gets in the hands of your fangirls, I'll be doomed.

In Woo: Do I even have any.

Y/n: Of course you do. They swoon over your looks and wealth every day.

In Woo: Well, then I would need to protect you.

Seo In Woo POV:
----------------------

I offered to protect her. Reluctantly, she took my hand. Now, that's better. In the past few days, I was in too much of a dilemma on losing my notebook, but now I feel a lot better after the appearance of such an interesting lady.

I drove her towards the place for our diner.
Recognising the place, her sparkling eyes widened a little.

Y/n: Mr In Woo?

In Woo: Hmm?

Y/n:  Why are we here?

In Woo: For dinner.

Y/n: Nope, no way. It's too expensive.

Don't girls like expensive, I thought.

In Woo: Don't worry, it's going to be on me.

Y/n: But..

In Woo: No buts.

I shushed her down my finger. Her cute face morphed into an embarrassed expression.

I escorted her to the room I had booked in advance. When the time came to order.
She slowly scanned the menu to find something less costly. In the end, since she couldn't decide so I ordered the waiter to bring the B couple set.

I took the menu out of her hands. If she sees the price, I doubt she will eat anything.

Y/n: Mr. In Woo..

In Woo: Just call me by my name.

Y/n: Huh?

In Woo: Just call me casually, 'In Woo'.

Y/n: Oh, come one, I can't possibly do that.

In Woo: Why can't you?

Y/n: Sir, I work under you, you know. And I don't think we have such a close relation to call each other by our names.

Her words brought displeasure, which I tried to drown by the wine.

Our food had arrived. We discussed a couple of topics, and I realised how perfect she was.

However, the previous thing still bothered me. I don't know what was wrong with me, but I wanted her to call me by my name.

Then, an idea came to me. I had observed Y/n, and in such a short time, I had found out just how soft she was.

In Woo: Mrs. Y/n..

I said in a whiny voice, bringing her attention to me.

Y/n: Are you okay?

She stood up and came closer to me to see if I was fine. At that moment, I grabbed her hand, taking her by surprise.

In Woo: I don't have any friends. Are you like the rest of them as well..

Y/n: Are you, by chance, drunk, Mr. In Woo.

In Woo: There, there you go again. No one wants to be my friends.

I said, acting pitifully. It was my first time to act like this, but I knew it was working.

Y/n: What are you talking about.

In Woo: You too. You refuse to be my friend.

Y/n: It's not like that.

She looked here and there in confusion as to what to do. I continued my whining. I won't stop until you agree.

Y/n: Okay, fine.

Just as she said those words, I stopped my whining. Now that's what I'm talking about. You should've agreed from the start. You made me go to such lengths and even act drunk.

In Woo: Really?

I questioned for confirmation.

Y/n: Yeah, alright. I will be your friend, Mr Seo In Woo.

In Woo: Then call me by my name.

She hesitated for a while but then...

Y/n: Seo In Woo.

Hearing my name from her lips brought a smile on my face.

Y/n: Now you're happy. Let's go, it's already so late.

She grabbed me, and with her support, we reached the car. Thankfully, I had already paid.

She made me sit at the front seat. While she was trying to do my seat belt, I asked.

In Woo: You're not going to go back on your words, right?

Y/n: (scoff) Yah! What do you think of me. You want to be my friend. Fine, let's do it. I'll show you just how casual I can get.

This little outburst took me by surprise. I tried to control my laughter a little bit.

In Woo: Pft..

Y/n: You're laughing? (Pout) I can't believe you brought me here and got drunk yourself.

Okay, I had it enough. I burst into laughter. Ahh! Just how many years has it been since I had genuinely laughed.
Y/n couldn't get any better.

Y/n: Hey! Before you sleep, tell me your address.

I told her my address. She looked so etheral driving under the moonlight. I am glad that I met her.

Reaching my place, she asked for the passcode. She dragged me inside, navigating here and there to find my room. Finally, when she found it, she made me lay on the bed.

She was about to leave when I thought. It's too late. Knowing Y/n, she'll take the bus at this time.

I clapsed her hand in mine to stop her from leaving and made her fall in my embrace.

Y/n: In Woo, what are you doing.

I snuggled close to her in our hug. I could smell the sweet smell of strawberries from her.

In Woo: It's late. Don't go.

Nonetheless, she struggled a bit. I tightened my hold on her to not let her escape.

Y/n: Hey! I need to go home.

In Woo: Stay, please.

In the end, she gave up. I pretended to sleep until she dozed of. I opened my eyes to scan her face. How peaceful she seemed here with me.

It almost made me feel never to let go. Is this what others feel like developing feelings for another.

I obviously don't know what love is like. All my life, I've been different from others. It was nice to see someone like Y/n who treats everyone equally.

People say physopaths can't feel love. I guess they are quite right to some extent. We don't love. Instead, we develop an infatuation. In other words, obsession.

If the way I feel right now is what I have predicted. Then I can only say Y/n, nothing, can make you stay away from me, not even yourself.
So prepare because when I catch something, I never let it go.

I smirked and closed my eyes to sleep next to my beloved..
