Hawks POV

NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO...

It was the only word going through my head in the emergency called meeting.

The picture was dark and grainy but you could see the fear in his face and the glistening tears streaming down the beautiful scarred face of the one I loved.

"this means he isn't as strong as we anticipated" started Endeavour "the LOV are probably unaware of this recent discovery of his secondary gender and will kick him out, leaving him vulnerable"

I heard him continue I wasn't listening properly. I was sweating heavily and my head kept flicking back to the picture.

"HAWKS" shouted the fame trash can

I shot my head up "y-yes" I responded startled

I could hear a few whispers about me but I didn't care.

"prove yourself to society by leading this case to capture him" he said to me sharply

I nodded in return... Great I had to choose between love and work...

After the meeting ended I rushed to my office and locked the doors making the room soundproofed.

After the conversation (in part before)

I could hear him drop the phone on the other side I could also hear almost silent sobs...

Then I heard it a massive banging on what must've been his door.

"TOYA!" I shouted panicking...

The call ended leaving me in a shocked and worried state... Please be ok, please be ok, please be ok... The same words circled my head... Oh god...why did I let him go...
