Maya's POV:

Ashley wasn't interested in our secret room at all. All she said was "The less I know the better", I don't know what she meant by that, but I'll take it. Ashley and I spent the time together just talking and playing card games. Ash is like my big sister, she knows everything about me. And she would never judge me or anyone else.

I hear the door open, its my stupid brother, he's entering with a big smile on his face "Maya you missed out on something, why don't you give them a chance?" I don't say anything, I just get up and leave the room. Why do I feel betrayed? Oh right, because the brother who always used to say he doesn't want anything to do with our parents, just came back from an ice cream date with them. As I enter my room, I don't care about anything, I don't bother doing my skincare routine I just get my pajamas on and go to bed.

Noah's POV:

I was really nervous about being alone with my parents, after all they are like strangers. And I was also pretty sad that Maya didn't come. Why does she have to be so rude to them? Anyway, they did explain everything again and I wouldn't say that I understand them, but it was never their intention to just drop us, they really cared for us and just wanted us to live the best life possible. They were also genuinely interested in our lifes and they also asked a lot about Maya. It obviously affected both of them that Maya didn't come with us, but I think Scarlett struggled more with it. They told me about our first year while we were still living with them. About how talkative I was or how clingy Maya was. Maya turned out to be the total opposite, she doesn't like being hugged.

Time skip to Monday in school

Yesterday was pretty boring, Maya still refuses to talk to me, so the walk to school was a silent one. That's until we meet our friends Luna and Jackson. Luna and Jackson are cousins and we met Jackson when we were in elementary school, Luna moved here only 3 years ago but we immediately got along. Usually, we are a friend group of 4 but sometimes we split up into boys and girls, that's also what's happening right now, Maya basically drags Luna away, probably to tell her all about the weekend. She doesn't want to see our parents at all. I should talk to her again, she has to give them a chance. Or at least listen to them, what they have to say. Little does she know I invited them to our game tomorrow... how do I tell her?

Maya's POV:

Luna is my best friend, well Jackson is my other best friend, but Luna and I get along even more. As we enter our math class we sit down in the last row, you must know, we aren't the nicest students, we always talk and sometimes we also skip classes, but still, we aren't stupid. During this class I tell her all about what happened, I only leave out the fact who my "parents" are.

 After school we have football practice, since tomorrow's game is the most important, it is against our most hated opponent. Noah and I are two of the best players of our team. As we walk to the football field I look over to Noah, I feel sorry for ignoring him, he is the only thing I have after all. "Noah, I shouldn't have ignored you the-" he interrupts me with a teddy bear tight hug. He really is a softy, but I don't blame him. I waited about 2 seconds "Okay, enough." I am sorry I just really hate physical affection.

Next day

Scarlett's POV:

I was so happy when Noah agreed to go out with us. Unfortunately, Maya didn't come with us, my little cuddle bug....

We learned so much about them and Noah also told us a lot about Maya. He also told us quite fun stories about Maya when they were younger. One time when they were 8, they watched Harry Potter and Maya thought that platform ¾ really exists, so the next day Maya begged Ashley to go to the train station to "watch the trains". When they got there, first thing Maya did was running towards a wall, without stopping. She ended up in the hospital with a bad concussion. Poor baby.

He also invited us to watch their soccer game, which actually is today. Maybe we get the chance to properly talk to Maya again.

And that's where we are heading to right now, their school to watch their game, we are supposed to meet Ashley there.

Maya's POV:

School was boring as hell today, luckily the principal told me that I am allowed to play today's game, as I passed my latest Spanish exam with 100%. What can I say, i am everything but dumb. I may be lazy, but I am most certainly not dumb.

The game has already started, after 45 mins its 2:0 for the other team. Fuck. I don't care about the audience at all, even if I have to admit, that there are quite a few people today. Anyway, back to the game. I win a 1v1 battle and start sprinting towards the net, dangling my way through, I see Noah standing all free just a few meters away from the net, so I pass him. He shoots the ball AND SCORES. Yes. I run to him and jump into his arms. It is not over yet. 20 minutes left, I have the ball, looking for a passing opportunity but no chance, so I dangle my way towards the net all alone, I shoot and score. Booyah. 2:2. Someone trips Noah and laughs at him, I run over to him pushing this guy away when he says "Oi, look. It's his sister, what's up dude, need a bodyguard?" I push him once more, he falls, looking shocked. I just smile at him. I got a yellow card for that, but boy, I couldn't care less. Only five minutes left. We have a corner, I am shooting it, immediately looking for Noah in front of the net, we've practiced that. I shoot towards Noah; he jumps and MAKES IT WITH HIS HEAD! Everyone is cheering.

As soon as the game ends, we look for Ashley, she comes to watch every game, I notice Noah seems nervous. "Boy what's wrong? We won the most important game, and you look like shitting yourself?" He is about to answer when we see 3 people coming towards us. That explains why he is so nervous. "Congrats kids!" Chris says going to high-five us, but I ignore it. "What are you doing here?" I say, Scarlett immediately answers, as if she was expecting me to ask "We came to watch you play soccer an-" "Football. Its called football!" I interrupt her "yes, okay. We were also hoping that we could talk to you again. How about we go have lunch after this successful game?" "Yes, we are in. We BOTH are in." Noah says, leaving no room for declining. Well this will be fun.
