When I felt I wanted to end my life, 

You came in ready to fight,

You saw me in the deep dark hole,

You came and picked up my shattered heart and soul.

You had the heart of more than a hundred men in one,

To me you were my breathing sun.

Your warmth and strength got me through,

I don't think I would still be here without you.

Somehow fate brought us together.

I thought we would be together forever,

but we all know fate and her terrible games.

How she couldn't keep still, she had to claim.

I remember that night, crystal clear,

Whenever I think about it, I shed many tears.

We were driving down the road that day,

There was a drunk driver, you had to pay.

I woke up in the hospital bed,

There was an incredible pounding in my head.

The nurse came in and looked very sorry,

she pleaded for me not to worry.

At first I was confused but then I realized,

You were no longer here, you had left me and died.

After that I sunk into terrible depression,

But now I am on an extreme mission.

I realized that you would only be ashamed,

If I decided to take my life away, 

So I picked myself up,

And started right were I left off,

And I am now thanking you.

Without you I don't know how I would have gotten through.

You were the only one to stand by my side,

while everyone disappeared into the night.

So I just want you to look down,

And see that all that I do is to make you proud.

I know that we will be reunited,

And for that I am delighted,

But for know I will continue living my life,

Because I know you would want me to fight.

I apologize for all my foolish behaviour,

But I need you to know you are my saviour.

You are the sun that cascades on my back,

You are the stars that always contrast the black.

You are the wind that carry untold stories,

You are the drug that takes away all my worries.

You are the sand, so soft and grainy,

You are the clear skies after it's rainy.

You are the untold at the end of a rainbow,

You are the glow in an all the angels halo's.

When I felt I wanted to end my life,

Thank you for coming in ready to fight,

Thank you for rescuing me from that deep dark hole,

Thank you for picking up my shattered heart and soul.

I will love you forever and...

You will be in my heart until the end.
