Together forever (Sally Mckenna)

Escort/classy prostitute by night and depressed loner by day. That was my life. I wasn't exactly the ugliest person alive. I had dated lots of people in my past but once people realised how broken I was, they left.

I had a client tonight. 9pm at the Hotel Cortez, I had heard about this hotel before. It was known for its ghosts but that didn't scare me. I got ready at 8pm and set off at 8:30pm.

I always wore nice clothes. Never the tacky, stereotypical, prostitute clothing. After all I was classy.

I arrived at the hotel 15 minutes early so I decided to get a drink at the bar while I was waiting. "May I have a glass of your best white whine please." I politely asked the woman behind the counter. As she was busy making my drink, my eyes came across another woman who was sat a few stools down from me. She was wearing a longish, black, lace dress with an oversized, leopard print jacket. Her blonde, untameable hair was crimped. She had dark brown eyes, surrounded by black mascara that has been washed away by the batch of fresh tears that were streaming down her face and running over her plump, red lips. She was beautiful. I didn't even know her but I felt bad for her. I decided to go say hello to her so when the woman behind the bar had given me my glass of whine, I stood up of the stool and went to sit next to the woman.

As I sat down, the woman looked up from her glass. She was even more beautiful up close. "Hi." I say, giving her a small smile. The woman looks me up and down before resting her eyes on my half exposed boobs. I don't know why but I looked away so she had more time to look at me. "Um my eyes are up here Lady." I say with a small giggle. "Oh ye sorry darling...um hi I'm Sally." The woman says, now looking into my eyes whilst taking a sip of her drink. I decided to do the same. "I'm y/n." I say, placing my glass back down on the bar. "A pretty name for a pretty woman." Sally says, smiling widely at me. I could feel my cheeks turning a shade of red so I decide to get back on track. "Why are you crying?" I ask her. Sally looks at me hesitantly, I could tell she wanted to talk to me about it but she decided not to. "Just life sweetie, just life." I didn't want to push her so I decided to keep quiet. "So what are you doing here then?" Sally asks me after a few minutes of us silently drinking. "I'm..um," I didn't know what to say, should I tell her I'm a sort of prostitute? "I'm having a date here." I say quickly. Shit why did I say that? Wait why am I even worrying that this woman would think I was dating someone. Because I liked her that's why. Oh god Iv known her 10 minutes and I already like her. I saw Sally's smile immediately drop as soon as the words came out of my mouth. "Oh." That's all she said. She seemed a bit upset. But why? Why would I woman like Sally be upset that I was going on a date..even though I actually wasn't. Unless she liked me? No that would be impossible. She's wayyy out of my league. "Well it's not a date really, I'm sort of a prostitute." I decide to tell her the truth. It sort of made her happier I guess.

Before me and Sally could talk anymore, I heard my name being shouted. I looked behind Sally to see my client, Josh, walking towards us. "Cmon sweetheart I haven't got all day, let's get this over and done with." He says, pulling me off the stool by my arm. I was a little bit intoxicated so I couldn't pull against him. "Y/n don't go with him." Sally said suddenly. I looked at her for the first time since Josh got here and I could see the fear in her eyes as more tears started to roll down her cheek. "Why not?" I shout to her as Josh pulls me toward the elevator. "Y/n he's going to-" I didn't get to hear the rest of what Sally was going to say when she ran toward the elevator as the door shut and me and Josh made our way to the room he booked. I was very confused. Why wouldn't Sally want me to go with him? And why did she look so scared? The elevator doors slide open and Josh guides me to the room by my arm.

Once we were in the room, he turned the lights on and sat me on the bed. "So where do you want to start?" I ask Josh as I take off my heels. "We could start by you shutting the fuck up maybe?" He says coldly. I really wanted to kick him in his balls for being so rude to me, I didn't understand what I'd done wrong. I decided not to do anything as I still needed that money. I sat on the bed in silence, waiting for Josh to do something. After what seemed like hours, he finally stopped rummaging around in the bag he had and turned to me, holding something behind his back. "Close your eyes." He says, coming closer to me. I close my eyes as he ties my hands above my head and then ties them to the bed once he had laid me down. He then continued to tie my legs to the bottom of the bed. "You can open your eyes now." He said. As I open my eyes, my eyes start to the light again  and I see that Josh was now wearing white covers and a pair of gloves. I was really confused and worried now. I looked down to Josh's hand to see him holding a knife. Now I was really, really scared. I could feel tears starting to form in my eyes. "W..what's that for?" I ask Josh with a shaky voice as I glance down at the knife again and then back up to him. He comes closer to me and straddles my waist. "This is for you." He says and lifts his arms high up in the air, holding the knife with his two hands. I squeeze my eyes shut and for a second all is calm but then I feel an excruciating pain shoot into my stomach. Josh has stabbed me...
