Chapter 3

*Your P.O.V*

We were all at city hall, everyone talking in a panic. I sat with Zed, his dad and Zoey. I was on the phone with my dad, "Dad!" "Hey Tiger, did you have fun at Cheer Camp?" "Well, we did run into werewolves." "Wait, hold on, did you just say werewolves?" "Uh, yeah. I mean a lot of other non-human things exist, whose to say those don't." "Yeah true, but I need to go, Morgan is trying to get into your mother's things, bye I love you Tiger." "Love you too Dad, Zed says hey by the way." I hung up and held onto Zed's hand.

"Werewolves are real!" I looked towards Bucky. "I always, always said the stories of monsters in the forest were real. And no one believed me!" I scoffed but continued to listen. "I thought werewolves were just myths," Stacey said. "Yeah, like cavities," I nearly laughed out loud at JC's comment. "Those are real too?!" I had to laugh. "What's so funny?" "The Aceys and Bucky being dramatic."

"Please can I have one," Zoey asked, referring to the werewolves. "I'm the only zombie in my class. A werewolf friend would be great." I chuckled, squeezing Zed's hand a bit, he squeezed back. "I'll feed him, I'll walk him." Zevon sighed, "Werewolves ain't class pets Zoey, and they certainly ain't friendly." Zed and I nodded.

Addison and her parents walked in, talking about what happened. I saw Bucky run over and join them, probably saying something about being a hero. I looked at Zed, worried, "I wonder what Missy's gonna do. The whole town is in hysterics." "It's gonna be fine I'm sure Addison's parents will be level headed about this." The gavel cut our conversation short, "By order of city council, effective immediately, all anti-monster laws are reinstated." She hit the gavel again. Some cheered and some (mostly zombies) looked worried. "Mom, that is unfair!" Addison yelled. Her mom turned and told her to zip it.

Zed and I walked down, hand in hand still. "Guys we need to talk!" "Yeah I know," Zed said. "But first," he turned to me. "How come you never answered my letters?" "The Aceys shredded them and shredded all my letters to you." The Aceys laughed and high-fived. "I know that was really cruel of them, but guys I'm sorry but now with those laws back in place, zombies can't go to Prawn anymore." "That's gotta hurt," Bucky commented, laughing.

Zed looked at me, "I'm sorry. I really want to take you." "We can fight this Zed," I said, putting my hand to his cheek. "I've fought way worse than just some bloodthirsty werewolves." He chuckled and I did too.

*Time Skip*

We sat in Zed's house. "Y/N, will you have to go and stay with Addison?" I looked at him, "Why would I do that?" "I mean with the laws and curfew in place, I wasn't sure." "Zed," I ruffled his hair. "I would much rather stay with you." "So I can protect you?" He grabbed my hand and kissed the back of it. I chuckled, "Who's the one with the suit?" He pouted. "But yes, so I can be with you and we can protect each other." He smiled and tried to pull me over the couch, but stopped, "Wait but then you have to eat cauliflower all the time, you hate cauliflower." I shrugged, "I could always fly out and get something I guess." He shrugged as well then proceed to pull me over the couch.

"Hey, have you guys seen Zoey?" Zed shook his head but I knew, "Yeah, she's outside." Zevon stepped outside. My phone started ringing, "Hey, I need to get this I'll be right back." I patted Zed's knee and walked down the hall.

"Hey Mom," I said smiling. "Hey Sweetie, you're dad told me about the werewolf? situation. Are you okay?" "Yeah, Mom, I'm okay. But yeah I was kinda thrown off a bit too, but let's face it we've seen weirder," I chuckled leaning against the wall. "How are you feeling, though? After your dad updated you reactor?" I sighed and looked at Zed, seeing him and Zoey playing a game. He smiled at me and I smiled back. I turned so he couldn't see my face, "I'm feeling better, Cheer Camp kinda drained me, but I'm much better." "Good, tell Zed I said, hi, I love you!" "I love you too Mom." I hung up, Yeah, my reactor needed to be updated, my heart condition is ever changing. So every couple of years my reactor needs to be updated. Zed doesn't know and I plan to keep it that way until they find a cure.

I walked back to Zed and Zoey, "Everything okay?" "Yeah, my mom just wanted to check on me, she said hi by the way." Zed put his arm around me as we settled into the couch, Zoey now doing homework. "I love you, Zed." "I love you too, Y/N." He kissed my temple and pulled me closer.
