AN: Hey all! Here's a little Scotty point of view. I'm mainly telling this story from Ellie's point of view, but some parts are told by others. I hope you enjoy this part! Feel free to comment and let me know what you think!

Scotty

I wake up the next morning, feeling incredibly warm and comfortable, despite the fact that my right arm is entirely numb due to the curly headed urchin that is sleeping on it. I can't help but smile at the fact that she is back, and I'm even more overjoyed that she seems to be getting some rest. She looked like hell when I showed up to her apartment yesterday. I am just so glad that she was here and safe and sleeping.

Not wanting to wake her up, I grabbed my phone, and laid there for as long as possible, scrolling through social media and answering emails one handed. I would have let her sleep all day, but unfortunately, I needed to go over to Heath's place to work on this song that we are collab-ing on. For a moment, I consider leaving her here and letting her sleep, but I decide against that rather quickly. Last time we left her alone, she dropped off the face of the Earth for two weeks.

I gently rub her arm, "Ellie, we gotta wake up. We need to leave for Heath's place in like an hour."

Her eyes crack open, and she gives me a sleepy smile as she slides off of my arm. I almost immediately miss her presence.

"You can have the bathroom first. I'll take Rex to go potty," I tell her as I climb out of bed. I throw on a t-shirt and some slides before putting the dog on his leash, and taking him for a quick stroll down the street.

When we return home, she's sitting back on the bed, her wild curls pulled back from her eyes with a clip. She has on a pair of overalls that hang off her frame. She's looking better, but she still looks pretty tired.

"You want something to eat?" I ask her, breaking her out of whatever trance she was in.

"Yeah, I'd like that." She answers.

I wind up letting her eat some of Todd's fruity pebbles because her eyes lit up when she saw them. I would buy him more later.

I leave her eating at the island to go grab a shower. I'm done in a few minutes, and I get dressed in a pair of black jeans and my red and white striped shirt. I dry my hair and style it before returning to the kitchen to check on her. She has already washed and put her bowl away, and is now sitting with Rex on the floor while he eats.

I can't help but notice how precious she looks, sitting there next to her dog. She's tiny, and her long curls do make her look like a doll. I can see why Heath calls her that now.

"Ellie, we're gonna head out in a few. You can leave your stuff here, and we'll get it later."

"Thanks, Scotty," she says, looking at me with those big eyes, conveying her sincerity. I walk back to my room, and she follows me. She puts on her converse and I throw on some sneakers as well before she suits up her dog and we head out.

It's a long ride to Heath's place, but we have idle conversation the whole way, one thing catches me entirely off guard though.

"What do you mean, you graduated from college a few years ago? You're like 20!" I exclaim, cutting my eyes to her for a moment.

"Yeah. I was in a program where I got my GED at 14, and I graduated college at 16." she laughs.

"Oh my god. You're more educated than like 80% of my friends," I joke.

She smiles, "it was probably the only opportunity I was going to get to go to college, so I went for it."

I look at her, urging her to continue.

"Maybe I'll tell you about it someday," she says with a small smile.

The conversation morphs into something about the group, and we pull up to Heath's house shortly after. I park the car, and go around to let her out (which makes her look at the ground).

Ellie, Rex, and I approach Heath's door, and Heath opens it before we even get close to it. "Ellie!" he shouts, rushing to us to give her a hug, "I'm so glad to see you!"

"And I'm so disappointed in you that you didn't let the rest of us know that you were with her," Heath says to me, punching my shoulder lightly.

He brightens back up, "Come on in, let's get to work."

Heath drags me off to his studio, and I don't really want to leave Ellie. I do, of course, because I have absolutely no reason to be so protective of her.

We write and record rough tracks until well after 2, when we can no longer focus because we're so hungry. When we leave the soundproof studio, we hear laughing. As we come around the corner, its easy to find the source.

Mariah and Ellie are in the backyard, working on learning a Tik Tok dance. They both seem to be excelling. Seeing them next to each other, I can see that Ellie is about the same height as Mariah, but she is a bit bustier. And she's super skinny otherwise. Heath, of course, blows our cover.

"Bubba, do you wanna go grab some lunch?" Mariah looks up and smiles, coming over to Heath to press her lips against his. "I'm starving," she says.

Ellie strolls in too, tapping her leg so Rex will follow her.

"Ellie?" Mariah asks, "Will you go to lunch with us?"

"I would love to," Ellie grins and Mariah cheers. It's a good thing these two are becoming such good friends.

"I'll drive," Heath offers as we all start pulling on our shoes.

So Ellie, Rex, and I all end up in the back of Heath's truck as we ride to a local spot that Heath and Mariah praise heavily.

The food was good, but the conversation was better. I was able to learn alot from this mysterious girl. She and Mariah seemed to have bonded in the time that Heath and I spent in the studio, which I was glad for. If I'm being honest, I want her to have as many reasons as possible not to disappear on us again.
