Beginning - Epilogue

Running away was what Kim Seokjin did. It's what he was good at. Only this time he erased himself so completely that there was absolutely no trace that he had ever existed at all. Every ounce of information that had ever been generated about him simply vanished. Like he was there one day and then gone the next.

From the ashes of that old identity rose a new one, like the fabled phoenix rising from the flames.

Jeon Seokjin. Birthday December 26th. Eighteen years old. Light brown hair. Dark brown eyes. High school graduate, top of his class with honors. Currently twelve weeks pregnant.

Location, New York City, New York, America. As far away and removed from Seoul, South Korea as he could possibly be. Yet the distance didn't feel far enough. Like his past was some sort of secret constantly looming, ready to strike down at any time like a lightning bolt and ruin his false sense of security. One would think it would get easier to become an entirely different person the second time around. But it wasn't. If anything, it only became more difficult to leave everything behind.

To leave the father of his child behind to deal with the darkness and pain that came with his departure. Unable to help himself he had gone to Jungkook one final time. Had allowed the alpha to be inside of him. Had fallen asleep within his arms. Had woken up early and whispered sweet words of love and remorse in his ears.

And then he had been gone, much like the first time. Disappearing into the wind without a single trace. Because that's just who Kim Seokjin was.
