As the next heir to the throne I have a lot of responsibilities, while always having to keep a good reputation.

"Your parents want you to have dinner with them tonight" A maid said from the other side of my bedroom door. I sighed wondering what my parents wanted.

My parents never really talk to me unless they wanted something from me, and plus I was ready to go to bed already.

I have a personal assistant that helps me choose my outfits everyday, his name is Hwang Hyunjin.

Hyunjin was actually the Prince from Targarhyun but he ran away after being treated unfairly and also because of some really brutal rumors.

He's now considered a traitor by his kingdom and is no longer seen as their Prince.

Hyunjin and I have been secretly dating for the past 7 months, it's a struggle to keep it from my parents.

"Hey I was told about the dinner with your parents" Hyunjin said with a smirk as he entered my room.

"I wonder what they want this time," I said, getting up from my bed to get dressed.

"Today I present to you this dress I spent MONTHS working on," Hyunjin said, exaggerating months.

The dress was a beautiful lilac color, it was decorated with many flowers of the same color.

"Here I got some of these flowers you can put in your hair," Hyunjin said, handing me the small flowers he was holding.

"Thank you" I said, taking the flowers gently to not ruin them.

I head towards my vanity and sit down on my cushioned stool. I do my own hair and makeup.

I've begged the maids to let me do it on my own so they haven't offered to do my hair or makeup since.

I put my hair in a decent looking bun, it'll do, it's not like I'm trying to impress anyone.

I started decorating the bun with the flowers that Hyunjin gave me. Hyunjin started helping me decorate the areas that I couldn't see. I then start to do my makeup.

This'll do. "How do I look?" I said to Hyunjin as I got up from my vanity and walked to my full length mirror.

"You look amazing, I think I have tears coming out" Hyunjin said wiping away his invisible tears, I smiled as I looked at myself in the mirror.

Hyunjin comes up from behind me and gives me a back hug. I feel him give me a soft kiss on the back of my neck, which makes me smile even more.

"I have to get going so I'm not late" I said, getting out of Hyunjins arms remembering that I'm supposed to have dinner with my parents.

"I want to hang out together longer" Hyunjin whines slightly pouting.

"We can hangout after, and stop pouting you aren't a child anymore" I tease him and peck his pouty lips.

I then quickly leave so he wouldn't follow me out. I start to head to the dining room suddenly feeling really nervous.

Once I got there both of my parents were staring straight at me making me feel uneasy, but the sight of them smiling at me made me feel even more uneasy.

"Don't just stand there, come on and sit down with us, we have stuff to discuss" my dad said, staring me down and signaling to a chair across from him.

I instantly sat down where he was signaling.

"What is it you want to discuss?" I asked, trying to sound as sweet as possible despite my feelings towards them being the complete opposite.

"Why don't we eat first so the food doesn't get cold" my mother says with a slight bitter tone, yet somewhat sweet?

I start eating despite wanting to instantly leave and run away.

"Okay just tell me what this is about" I said tiredly, I don't want to continue this innocent game of theirs.

Their smiles instantly faded away "We just can't have a nice family dinner together without you getting in the way" my mother says with a harsh and sour tone.

"You're one to talk" I mumbled to myself.

"Since you are the next heir to the throne, we have selected a few princes from nearby kingdoms for you to meet tomorrow and choose from to rule alongside you" my father said, cutting in between me and my mothers argument.

"WHAT?! You can't do that to me!" I yelled at them.

I can't believe they are doing this, what am I going to tell Hyunjin?

"Look, you do what we tell you to do, we are your parents and you're nowhere near being queen!" My mother said harshly making me flinch.

"You are dismissed to your room" my father said not sparing a glance at me. I instantly got up and headed back to my room.

Once I got back to my room I saw that Hyunjin was still there, sleeping in my bed. He instantly opened his eyes once he heard I was back.

"Hey, what did they want?" He said in a soft voice which calmed me down a bit.

He held his arms out wanting me to cuddle with him. I headed to the bed and laid between his arms.

"I was told that I will be put in an arranged marriage with a prince out of a few kingdoms that they selected for me" I said trying not to cry.

Hyunjin didn't say a single thing, he just stayed quiet which made me feel unsettled. I'm sorry Hyunjin.

"What is going to happen to us?" Hyunjin asked in a small voice after a few minutes, making my heart ache.

I don't know what to tell him in all honesty, I haven't thought as far as for when I actually get married. "We'll figure it out, don't worry" I told him

"When are you meeting them?" Hyunjin asked as he started to get up.

"Tomorrow, where are you going?" I said turning around to face him.

"I just remembered I have something to do. I'll see you tomorrow, yeah?" Hyunjin said with a sad smile.

"Okay, I'll try to escape to see you" I said, winking at him trying to make him smile even a little bit, and he did.

After he left the room I got up and decided to change back to my pjs and get ready for bed.

I wonder if at least one of the princes will be understanding of our relationship.
