Chapter 8 - Sudden Wingwoman (Kumiho POV)

As I continue to look at this cookie, I see she has a cheery and eccentric look in her eyes, and that look tells me this cookie truly believes that they can help me out with my wishes and isn't trying to pull some sort of trick. If anyone could recognize something like that, it would be me. So... I suppose I'll give this a shot.

"Okay... who are you," I begin, "and how could you possibly help me?"

The mysterious girl jumps up and down in excitement and says, "I'm Cherry Cookie, Cherry Blossom Cookie's sister! I may or may not have watched your little picnic, too! Hehe!"

Oh, that's who she is...! Now that I know that, she fits the description I heard from Cherry Blossom Cookie quite well.

"I suppose that would explain how you have the potential to help me," I say. "I would be a little weirded out by your actions prior as well, but... I have done similar things before, so I suppose game has no choice but to recognize game in this case. ...But still, how and why do you plan on helping me?"

"You can probably guess the why easily!" she replies.

"...You want to make a fireworks show for us, don't you?

"YEP!" she follows that up with onomatopoeia noises of explosions. Sigh... Well... Whatever. Her acting on her selfish agenda isn't enough to dissuade me from working with her.

"I guess that makes sense," I say. "However, you haven't exactly told me how you can help me."

"Well, That's simple, too!" she says. "I know my sis better than anyone! If there's anyone that's gonna help ya out, It's gonna be ME!"

"I suppose that's true... Alright, I'll trust you."

"YAY! Now we gotta move! She usually stays near where her picnics were after they end, and we don't want her to hear us!"

"Alright. Let's get moving, then!"

***

We've moved to somewhere that I cannot exactly identify, but I kept track of our movements, so I'm sure that doesn't matter. I was surprised she could keep up with me, if I'm being honest. We both sit down on the grass when we stop moving.

"Since it's clear we're safe from her hearing us," I begin, "What information do you have that could assist me?

"Alrighty, I have something VERY important to start with," she says. "I've seen her confess her own love multiple times, and the question it's always begun with is 'Have you ever fallen in love before?' So if she ever asks ya that, DO NOT say no!"

I nod.

"Okay! Another thing is that she's a sucker for sudden flattery, so try to give her some when ya can!"

I nod once more.

"I think something else that's important is that although she's not very good at seeing negative emotions when it comes to the opposite, she's almost magic in how she finds them!"

"So... If I'm looking forward to something with her, she can tell?"

"Yes! Most of the time, she can tell what it is, too!"

Oh, goodness gracious... That's... concerning.

"...Well," I open with, "Is there anything other than just another picnic that could help? I'm contempt with sticking to them if I must, but is there anything else I can plan to do with her that could help?"

"Yeah!" she replies. "Although picnics are what she loves most, going out shopping is something she enjoys! Also, going out to eat is something she does with those she has romantic feelings, so maybe that could hint toward it!"

My eyes widen. Maybe that's a good idea, then! I nod, but before I can speak...

"Cherry Coooookie! Where are yooouuu?"

"That's Cherry Blossom Cookie!" I say. "I think I have to go now..."

"Naaaaw," she replies. "We have enough time!

"I'd rather not take the risk."

"Awww, okay. Bye!"

"Goodbye, and thanks for the help." I say then quickly run away.

Alright... That hopefully was good advice. I shall keep that in mind.
