All around me grief does linger,
A feeling of sadness that won't manage to flicker.

Attempting to mend my broken heart,
I'm struggling to dive back in right from the start.

Riddled to my core, emotions running wild,
Frustration has taken the perfect child.

Loneliness I'm surrounded by, nothing to cling on to,
Hurtful words of grief and sorrow, ring too true.

An onslaught of tears rolls down my face day and night,
Just trying to make it through, this difficult plight.

Can't seem to find any solace, feelings of hurt won't budge,
There is no respite, no place to hide from this deluge.

Anguish swarms around me like fierce bumblebees,
The sorrow surrounding me, is all that I can see.

Grieving for the loss of someone dear,
My heart licking the wounds, will take many a year.
