A tiny Uchiha laid still on her bed, staring at the ceiling with a blank expression, the room was completely silent, her sister had gone out somewhere and her mother is still probably at work.

Her father had left off about 3 weeks ago, she probably won't see him for a while.

It was kind of nerve racking for the little girl to watch her father leave, and return with minor to very major injuries.

The pessimistic part of her brain that only seem to grow more and more makes her wonder what would happen if one day he doesn't return at all.

If his injuries were so bad to the point where-

'NO!'

The little girl hurriedly shook her head to get rid of that dreadful thought, only then had she noticed her quivering hands, or the moisture under her eyes.

In her moment of panic she failed to notice the painful sting in her right eye, which almost felt like nothing to her.

She took a deep and steady breath, thinking about all the things that she loves and imaged herself to be surrounded around all of her loved ones, the little girl concentrated on the sound of the vehicles from outside her window, she could even hear people's voices probably from the near by market.

To divert her disturbed mind she tried to listen in on the voices of the people only being able to make out random words,

she faintly heard the voice of an women yelling out 'dinner' making her wonder what they would be having for dinner tonight, maybe her mama will make her favorites or they could go out for some ramen! That sure does does exciting!

The little girl smiled,

Atleast she has something to look forward to,

Dinner!

An innocent happiness filled her young heart as she looked forward to spend time with her family, they could maybe even watch some movie-

Her thoughts were cut off by the small 'bing' followed by the buzz of a vibration, she quickly got up to find her ipad buzzing with a notification.

Frowing at the sudden disturbance, she opened it to find that she'd received a voice message.

"Hey sweetheart! Mama's slightly busy with work, I probably won't be able to make it for dinner- Soo sorry honey! Wait for your sister or if you feel hungry you can have the strawberry cereals. Peanut butters in th-"

The rest of the audio was was unheard by the little girl as her eyes down casted, the noise of the vehicles and the evening sun accompanied her sad form, with hunched shoulders the little girl slowly typed her reply so her mother won't worry too much.

'Ok mama, take rest! Love you. <3'

She watched the three dots on the corner of the screen before another message popped out, her mother had replied,

'Thank you for being so understanding! Love you too, sweetie! <3'

It only made her even more upset to know that she really wasn't as understanding as she pretends to be,

It bothered her, the fact that she barely gets to spent time with her parents,

call her selfish but she was still very much young, it upset her the fact that she always comes home to an empty house.. exept for the couple lucky days her mom would be there to welcome her,

Her mom being the medic ninja would almost never receive holidays, because as she had explained a thousand times to an sulky Sayuri,

'Emergencies don't wait for an holiday to end.'

Feeling completely negative, the little girl desperately tried to find something to change her mind before it leads to where she doesn't want to go,

It was slowly getting too late,

She looked around frantically already being able to hear the distant sounds of the dreadful place mixed with the ringing of the silence, it made her head jerk with pain causing her to flinch only making her mind crawl out the memories that she buried under so many good ones,

The little girl stared at the ipad with teary eyes, as she rapidly scrolled through the contacts.

Calling her father is completely useless, she knows that much for sure. Her sister would be training, so she won't have her phone with her either, her mama is too much of an worry head- the Uzumaki's would be enjoying their wednesday with a park day out, she didn't want to disturb them- burden them with her useless presence,

A sob broke out,

She didn't have her aunt Ino's phone number,

why?

Grandpa Kakashi's in a holiday, she couldn't bring herself to trouble him.

everything was going so fine, she was having an casual day- a carefree day, why was she suddenly feeling so frantic, why was it getting so hard for her to breath, as if something is gripping inside her chest, why was she feeling so bad, so horrible as if she's been sick for so long yet she's completely healthy at the same time.

She wondered if this was how she would be leading her life,

crying, crying and some more crying as she begs for someone to stay by her side forever and protect her.

When was she ever gonna step up and protect herself?

Another sob wracked her body as she fell to the ground, her forehead burning with pain,

The child slowly crawled her way towards her bed, climbing up with little to no energy, she laid still and finally gave into her demise (or what she believed to be her demise) letting her thoughts wander,

It has been a while since it happened, just thinking about it made her stomach drop but now that she had thought about it she cannot stop her wandering mind that would only increase it's imagination if she tried to stop it,

She sobbed and sobbed, the skin under her eyes turning red within minutes as her throat started to become more and more sore,

She laid of her side, curling into a small ball and clenched her aching chest, violents and sad cried shaking her tiny body as she recalled every single event,

it was as if she was reliving it, not a single memory missing from that dreadful event.

She could see everything, hear everything,

Her brain replayed everything as if replaying a movie, even adding little twisted imagination as if her mama was screaming her name in pain, or that her sister is clinging into her, shouting at her to do something.

Or as if they were cursing her while bleeding out, screaming how useless she is and how all she could do was watch with tears instead of doing something that could actually save them.

Trapped in her own brain, she failed to recognise the intensifying pain in her right eye.

She was too distracted by the pain in her heart to even notice that she was no longer on her bed, or even in her room for the matter of fact.

she didn't acknowledge the tall grass that was surrounding her, too blinded by her own despair.

Sayuri watched as they died, arms falling to the ground, she would soon be forced to watch them become nothing but a bunch of bones scattered around the ground.

As she sobbed and sobbed,

failing to realize that she was in the comfort of warmth, between the familliar arms of that one person she was sure would never mind her as a burden, Almost instinctively she wrapped her arms around the person's neck, having spent a little more than 3 hours with them yet it was more than enough time for her to trust them with life,

She clung onto them, finally snapping back to reality yet her mind still wandering over her dreadful experience,

as the person gently ran their hand through her hair, she opened her mouth to respond, already feeling ashamed of her tears.

Gosh! they first met when she was in tears and their 2nd time meeting was also when she was in tears, how pathetic can she get anymore?

"U-Un-cle.." she sobbed out with trembling lips,

"I-it's- It's-!.. t-they-!"

She stuttering turned more and more incoherent as she tried to explain pointlessly,

He cut her off by patting her back, hugging her close, settling in a crisscross position as he cradled her in his arms.

"Shhh, It's ok now." he whispered softly all while leaning his chin on top of her head, the little girl leaned her head against his chest, only being able to feel his temporary warmth, it brought her comfort although she couldn't hear his heart beat.

"Breath Sayuri, Your Mama and big sister are all safe, it's all just a fake illusion."

Itachi held her close, as he inhaled and exhaled along with her, trying to steady her breathing.

He cupped her tiny face into his palm, tilting it upwards while tenderly wiping away her tears with his thumb,

His gace softened with an unimaginable amount of affection at her small scrunched up face, her eyes were held shut, as she refused to open them.

He pushed her pink locks away from her face as he spoke in a gentle voice,

"Can you please open your eyes for me?"

She did,

Itachi expected to gaze at the mesmerizing heterochromiatic eyes but was instead greeted with something that only further broke his heart,

the little girl was gazing up at his, her big duo eyes filled with tears and so much of sadness,

One glowing red, spinning with the all too familliar black tomoe of the sharingan.

The other glowing a pale pink, the pattern of the sharingan and the tomoe still present- yet they were white with her right eye being pink instead of red.

The older Uchiha resisted a gasp,

"Oh dear god." was all he could breathed out hoping to god that his deadness is making him see things.
