The day of the sports festival arrived soon after the 'declaration of war' from the purple-haired boy that Y/n still can't remember the name of.

"Aw man." Ashido pouts as she looks down at her outfit. "I was totally hoping I could wear my costume."

"At least everyone will be in uniforms. That'll keep things fair, right?" Ojiro stretches his arms in front of himself.

"I wonder what they'll have in store for us in the first round." Sato adds nervously as Tokoyami glances at him.

"No matter what they've prepared, we must persevere." Tokoyami closes his eyes.

"Right." Shoji agrees with a firm nod.

"Everyone, get your game faces on!" Iida calls loudly, opening the door to the room class 1-A was in. "We'll be entering the arena soon!"

"Midoriya." Y/n hears Todoroki call calmly as she looks over at the two.

"Hey, Todoroki. What's up?" Izuku looks at the dual hair colored boy in confusion.

Multiple eyes shift in the direction of the two boys, acting like hungry sharks to the tiniest bit of drama.

"From an objective standpoint, I think it's fairly clear that I'm stronger than you." Todoroki comments monotonously.

"Uhโ€”" Izuku startles, flinching, "Um, yeah.."

"However, you've got All Might and L/n in your corner, helping you out." Todoroki says bluntly, "I'm not here to pry about your personal matters. But know that I will beat you."

Her eyes narrow at the boy distastefully as he finishes his rant, That's it. She's going to murder this fucker.

"What's with all these declarations of war lately?" Kaminari grins nervously.

"Yeah, what's the big deal? Why are you pickin' a fight all of a sudden? And right before we get started.." Kirishima puts a hand on Todoroki's shoulder.

"We're not here to be each other's friends." Todoroki shrugs off Kirishima's hand. "Don't forget. This isn't a team effort."

Izuku looks down nervously, "Wait a sec, Todoroki. I don't know what's going through your head or why you think you'd need to tell me that you'll beat me. And, yeah, of course you're better than me. In fact, you probably have way more potential than anyone in the hero course. That's why you got in so easily."

Kirishima looks at him with a nervous smile, "Midoriya maybe you're being a little hard on yourself, and us."

"No, he's right, you guys. All the other coursesโ€” they're coming for us with everything they've got." Izuku explains, "We're all gonna have to fight to stand out."

Izuku looks up at him determinedly, "And I'll be aiming for the top, too."

The monitor in the stadium flickers to life, Present Mic appearing.

"Hey! Make some noise, all you rabid sports fans!"

The crowd cheers loudly in response to the man, waving their hands around wildly.

"Get those cameras prepared, media hordes!"

Camera's click in response, the media setting up their camera's.

"This year we're bringing you some of the hottest performances in sports festival history, guaranteed! I've only got one question before we start this performance, are you ready?! Let me hear ya' scream as our students make their way to the main stage!"

The 1-A students make their entrance to the stadium as the crowd cheers.

They walk to the center of the open field as people cheer for them.

"So noisy..." Y/n frowns, covering one of her ears.

"Uh.. I didn't know there'd be so many people." Izuku says nervously from beside the girl.

"I hope we're still able to give our best performances, even though all these eyes are watching us. I suppose it's just another aspect of being a hero we all have to keen to get used to." Iida comments.

"Present Mic sure did talk us up a lot. Kinda makes me nervous. How you feelin', man?" Kirishima's last comment was directed towards Bakugo who grunts at him.

"I'm not worried. Makes me wanna win this thing even more." Bakugo blandly responds.

"They haven't been getting nearly as much screen time, but this next group is still chock full of talent! Welcome hero course class 1-B!"

The class walks out, varying expressions on their faces, but nearly all of them held one in common: determination.

"Next up, general studies classes C, D, and E!"

"Support classes F, G, and H!"

"And finally business classes I, J, and K!"

"Give it up for all of UA's first-year contestants!"

The students make their way towards the area which had the grass painted in red, a familiar pro-hero standing on a podium.

"Now! The introductory speech!" Midnight announces as the crowd goes wild over the woman.

"Amazing.."

"This years chief umpire for the first years is the R-Rated Hero, Midnight!"

"Woah!"

"Seriously, the other years don't know what they're missing.."

The students on another hand, were flustered by the woman and her outfit.

"Uh, someone should talk to Ms. Midnight about what she's wearing..." Kirishima comments nervously.

"Yeah. That costume should come with a warning." Kaminari nods in agreement, though he didn't seem nervous about it.

"Uh.. it's an interesting outfit choice, alright..." Y/n's voice was monotonous but her cheeks also held a pink tint to them as she looked up at the woman.

"Silence, everyone!" Midnight announces, the students immediately going quiet at her words. "And for the student pledge, we have Y/n L/n!"

What.

She hesitates before walking forward, the students whispering behind her.

"Eh? Y/n is first-year rep?" Izuku blinks in surprise at the information.

"I guess she did finish first in the entrance exam test..." Sero shrugs.

"Tch." Bakugo scoffed, still bitter over that fact.

"Only for the hero course exams." A girl from another course sighs.

"That girl obviously hates us.." Sero frowns as he looks over at the girl.

"Yeah, and we've got Bakugo to thank for them not liking our class." Denki sighs dramatically.

"The fuck did you just say?!" Exclaimed the hot-headed male towards the other boy.

Y/n reaches the top of the podium as multiple eyes look at her expectantly, eager to hear what she'll say.

"...Good luck, you'll need it." She suggests blandly.

Class 1-A sweatdrops at her words. They had already gotten used to the girl saying rude things and not meaning them. She's simply oblivious on social situations and what to say.

"WHAT DID SHE SAY?!"

"CLASS 1-A IS SO FULL OF THEMSELVES!"

"GET HER OFF THE STAGE!"

"..Oh. Sorry." She apologizes lightly, realizing what she said came off as rude, but her face was too far away from the microphone for any of them to hear it.

"WHY WOULD YOU SAY THAT?! YOU'RE REPRESENTING US ALL!" Iida exclaims as the girl's lips twitch into a frown.

She looks down at the hem of her shirt, guilty she already made a bad impression of the entire class on everybody.

"..." She wanted to apologize, she truly did. She just... couldn't bring herself to.

A hand lightly pats her head as she looks up at Midnight, nodding silently before walking back down with the rest of the class.

She messed up again...
